The bokeh effect comes from shooting through sequined lace, something we experimented a lot with on this shoot. It’s the only medium where I don’t care how low the budget is, as long as there is a cool concept that fits the budget and we get to do something visually creative. I really liked my work together with Director @alexdecampi on this unreleased music video, and am sad it was never released (and I don’t know why) I actually got the gig because Alex had seen some shots of me on social media shooting SCUBA in a pool on the movie TRI, which I’ll feature later. (Though I had an operator on TRI, I operated the underwater work myself) Alex likes to do in-camera effects, so we built a clear plexiglass-glass platform for the illusion of her walking on water. Also we had to do a pickup day for the underwater material, because the pool we had rented had a broken heater and the water temperature was so cold as to be unsafe. This was my first shoot using @arri #skypanels, when they were first released. (But not for the UW stuff). The dance. A year ago I had the incredible honour to direct the flying ride FlyHawaii, a unique opportunity to work with some of the most talented water people on this planet. While we were preparing the aerial camera tests we discussed the options of an underwater shoot and how we can create a feeling that resembles that of our flight experience. Fortunately the team at @saltnairstudios came up with a brilliant solution to match the motion in the water to the motion we were capturing in the air with helicopters. State of the art technology allowed us to not only dive through caves with speed but also to create this mind blowing scene with @oceanramsey and @juansharks and about 15-20 majestic sharks. You can only plan so much when you’re working with wild animals in an environment that is challenging on its own and it was the first time that the camera and propelling system was used to film sharks and we didn’t know how they would react but they were actually very calm and not bothered and if anything cautiously curious. Ocean and Juan are some of the most passionate shark advocates, educators and communicators on this planet and witnessing them work with these apex predators was a phenomenal experience and the results speak for themselves. El año pasado en 2019 filmamos un cortometraje abajo del agua empezamos a filmar 9 am yo me salí a las 8 horas de bucear filmando y me reemplazo Sandra de Silva que siguió Filmando había otra camara bajo agua en una ventana de la alberca afuera de la alberca en ella estaban Milton Rodriguez y Kenia Carrion, cuando me salí de la alberca me salí por cansancio solo revisaba que todas las marcas y color en las camaras estuvieran perfecto el corto lo acabamos de filmar hasta como las 9pm ya de noche, la Direccion fue de Emilia Duclaud.
