Of all the things Erik expected when he woke up that morning, it was definitely not ending up in the hospital with bruised ribs and a broken leg. He hadn't even made it to the office, with the accident happening not ten minutes into his morning commute, the little kid darting out into oncoming traffic right in his path.

If not for his mutation, and Erik using every bit of his ability to throw the car (and himself) out of the child's way things would have ended much more tragically than just him spending a few weeks recuperating in bed.

The other thing he hadn't expected was to wake up with his ex husband at his bedside, looking pale as a ghost as he held Erik's hand.

"You're here. They called you?"

Charles chuckled, a thin, watery sound that reminded him too much of their fights before he'd walked out of Erik's life and out of their marriage. "They called Edie and she called me. She's on her way; caught the first flight she could out of Frankfurt."

"Oh." He shifted a little and winced, his ribs protesting even with the drugs he'd been given. "What about the little girl? Is she alright?"

That really should have been his first question, but Charles always did have a way of distracting him, filling every thought in his head with his mere presence. It had been that way when they dated, and when they were married, and apparently even now...after.

"She's fine, Erik. You saved her life," Charles said, warm and tender as he brushed the hair from his forehead. "You almost died doing it, but yes, she's perfectly alright."

"Good." He looped his fingers through Charles' and closed his eyes, and let himself be vulnerable for just a moment; letting himself ask for what he wanted - what he's always needed from the love of his life. "Stay with me?"

Charles smiled and brushed a kiss to his cheek. "Always."

Big Dragon was actually pretty enjoyable! I was not expecting to like it but I did! It's a good mix of comedy and drama and spice!

Gameboys 2! If it's available for you on gaga! It wasn't for me so I had to watch it on bilibili. But gawd it was so good! I had already seen the movie so I knew the plot but it was beyong perfect!

Mr. Cinderella is a personal fave! It's a Viet BL. A street gangster falls in love with the handsome doctor that nursed him back to health and he essentially becomes a house hubby as he heals. Very cute.

Don't waste your time with Fahlanruk! I tried to like it but one of the mains is so unlikeable and the other one likes to hit. Most of the people that sat through it did not have good things to say. The actual main actors have great chemistry but their characters are written poorly.

And you might want to watch s1 of Papa and Daddy first because I think s2 picks up on a cliffhanger if I'm not mistaken!

War of Y dives into BL actors personal lives and the series they're in. Alot of the stories are believed to be based off of real life happenings.

I heard 180 degrees, Minato's Coin Laundry, and Unforgotten Night are all decent too.

This week we are extending our visit from last week in Jefferson County where we’re sharing a few cases due to their either lack of information or little progress. Joel Hardwick brought us the curiously unsolved shooting death of his brother Heulon Hardwick that occurred 26 years ago. In 2014, Kierra Stubs, mother of 2, disappears after a seemingly harmless meet-up with an acquaintance to get her car breaks done. Ramondus Robinson visited with his father, later went to a club, and then, after leaving with 2 men in the early morning hours of May 23, 2019, he vanished. Joseph Entrekin checked out of a treatment facility in March of 2021 and nearly immediately after, while his mother was with him on his cell phone listening, was chased by unknown persons and never seen again. And a very bizarre case of a 14-year-old child, Jason Sims, whom almost no one seems to know ever existed, who was reported missing in 2015, but truthfully, it’s not known when he disappeared.

Unforgotten S1-4

One of my favorite shows. The plots are always so interesting and complex. The investigations are well-paced, and the stories have a meaningful human element to them. Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar have great chemistry, and we learn to love their characters very early on.

Seasons 2 and 4 are my favorite, then 3 and then 1. But all seasons are amazing! I haven't been able to watch S5 yet, but I can't wait!

Just finished season three of Unforgotten and it once again brought me to tears. It's amazing how this show manages to make you care about every single person. Not just the victims but the families, the detectives, the suspects and eventually also the murderers.

Season three is the best season imo though season 1 blew me away as well and had me bawling my eyes out all the time (i Mean... The ending of s1 was such a punch in the face, nothing will ever top that) but S3 had a great plot and amazing character development and I'm a slut for amazing Character Development!!!

Finished S3 of Unforgotten and loved it. I am def going to go buy S1 and 2 which I have never seen all the way through. This way when Game of Thrones is over I’ll still have something soul-crushing to watch on Sundays.

TV OF 2021 PART 1

This is going to be a long one as I watch so much TV :) but there’s still loads I haven’t seen/need to catch up on.

I don’t watch any of the soaps or reality shows like TOWIE/Love Island. But my holy trinity of daytime TV is Judge Rinder, Bargain Hunt + The Chase. 

I watched more stuff on Netflix this year. Some great films – The Boys in the Band, Fear Street trilogy, Moxie, Rebecca, Single All The Way and Da 5 Bloods. Plus some great series – S1/2 of Criminal, S2 of Bonding and Halston and I’ve got a lot more in my to-watch list.

With dramas I tend to watch a lot of crime dramas/thrillers – this year saw the return of some favourites like Baptiste, Grantchester, Guilt, Shetland, Cobra (this time it was Cyberwar), Bulletproof (which was South Africa this time), Marcella, Death in Paradise, McDonald & Dodds, Unforgotten and best of all, Line of Duty. There were also American imports like Fargo + Snowfall (which I think were very under-rated) and Vienna Blood (which uses its setting of early 1900s Vienna to great effect).

There were also new shows like Professor T., Annika, Vigil, The Long Call, The Pact, The Tower, You Don’t Know Me and my favourites Wolfe, Ragdoll, Those Who Kill (technically not new + it’s already been cancelled after one series but damn, it had potential) and Showtrial. Plus we had dramas based on true crimes such as Landscapers, Stephen (about the Stephen Lawrence case) and The Serpent (which I loved) and my favourite which was The Act. I don’t tend to watch that many true crime documentaries but I did find A Wilderness of Doubt (about the Jeffrey McDonald case) absolutely riveting.

Some of the American TV series I love returned for new series such as Mayans MC, Why Women Kill, The Blacklist, The Walking Dead, The Handmaid’s Tale (tho’ I think these 3 really need to wrap things up), Harley Quinn, Euphoria (altho’ it was only a one-off but S2 is starting soon), Pose (last ever series but such an amazing show) and Prodigal Son (still not over the fact it got cancelled as it was such a great show).

I finally caught up with all the series of Bates Motel as BBC were showing it right from the start. Plus they showed Stieg Larsson’s Millenium which was very good. And Deutschland ’89 returned for its third + final series (great show, very under-rated).

I’m still watching Dr Who but I do think the writing/stories aren’t as good as they used to be. Also Ackley Bridge returned but I do think it struggled to manage the transition from the original characters who were all so well-loved.
