Action Plan for Half Term

My action plan for over half term is to take pictures of famous buildings in Liverpool for the unit 8 project. I am also going to take pictures of art work in different art galleries/exhibitions and analyse it.

Brief do sesji portretowej dla polskiego oddziału Unit8 zakładał sportretowanie każdego członka zespołu w trzech ujęciach: formalne na jasnym neutralnym tle oraz zrelaksowane w firmowej koszulce na jasnym oraz czarnym tle. Pozy oraz ekspresja twarzy miały być jak najmniej formalne. Na twarzach miał pojawiać się naturalny uśmiech. Modele mogą gestykulować i nie muszą patrzeć w obiektyw. Fajnie!

Portrety miały trafić na nową stronę firmy oraz być wykorzystywane w różnego rodzaju materiałach warsztatowych i szkoleniowych, które pracownicy UNIT8 regularnie prowadzą.

Zespół UNIT8 to młodzi specjaliści z kompletnie niezrozumiałej dla mnie dziedziny AI, zaawansowanej analityki i programowania.

Jak zazwyczaj w takich sytuacjach za studio posłużyła nam salka konferencyjna w biurze Klienta. Setup był dość prosty bo podobnie miały być sportretowane osoby w biurach UNIT8 w Lozannie i Zurichu. Ustawienie musiało być więc łatwe do powtórzenia. Cała scena oświetlona była trzema lampami studyjnymi. Główne oświetlenie to lampa Hensel Integra 500 Plus z zamocowanym beauty dishem ustawiona lekko na lewo od modela. Światło wypełniające dawała taka sama lampa z zamocowaną niewielką parasolką. Cienie na jasnym tle niwelowała trzecia głowica Hensel z softboxem strip 25x70cm. Po zmianie tla na czarne ten softbox był kierowany w stronę modela. 

Asystent: Dominik Papaj

 Sesja została wykonana aparatem Fujifilm GFX 50S z obiektywem Fujinon GF 120mm o oświetleniem studyjnym Hensel.

This gif I created was inspired by a gif I found on pinterest. It was made by cutting and pasting areas of the model’s face with makeup, on top of the image of the model without makeup.

To create my garment I took all the different samples I have created and arrange them in a set order. As a base, I machine stitched the front and back piece together to create a arm hole and for everything to be attached onto. I have decided to hand stitch my garment while it's on the manikin as it means that I know exactly what my pieces are going to look like on the body. I think my garment is looking really successful as it responds well to all my research and my starting point of underwater, next I am going to print a big piece of fabric to drape down the back to fill the space and I also need to add some French nots to tie everything in together.

To edit my images further, I have also decided to glitch them. I thought this would be interesting as I had seen a students work in the year above and thought it would be suitable to include in my project in terms of mental health. I thought this was relevant due to the focus on Body Dysmorphic Disorder. The different types of 'glitch' was relevant as I felt like this distorted the natural image of the face.

WWW- I felt like this linked to the case study as she felt like she was ugly and couldn't let anyone see her bare face, not even her family. I feel like this is an accurate representation as you cant actually see the natural face at all as it is either glitched, blurred or collaged.

EBI- I could develop these images further such as using over lays or adding text.
