Visceral impulses are repeating like rituals and oft-frustrated people are facing dead ends. Would those still be there? Us, Ghosts Fills Tampa With Energy

    On January 26th, the local Sarasota Post-Hardcore band Us, Ghosts travels to Tampa to play a show with touring band Outline in Color (Tulsa, Okla.).  The venue Brass Mug opened their doors at 7pm and audience members of all ages gathered around the stage. Us, Ghosts formed their band in October of 2012, the band has been busy in the past year with releasing a new music video on Christmas Day in 2013 and soon to release their new album titled Sleepers.

After the show I had the chance to interview lead singer Brandon Howard and lead guitarist William Park. 

1. Q: What are your bands influences? 

William Park: Memphis May Fire, Dream On Dreamer, In Fear and Faith, The Color Morale, and other bands similar. 

2. Q: What has been the bands greatest challenge? 

Brandon Howard: Getting people out to our shows since we usually have to drive at least an hour ourselves to play somewhere. Also, being in a town where our style of music doesn't thrive. 

3.Q: What have you accomplished as a band?

William: In the past year we released a 6 song EP, played Warped Tour, released a music video, and we are going to be releasing our new 7 song album Sleepers. 

4. Q: What are the bands goals for the upcoming year?

William: We hope to get our name out there, build more of a fan base, tour and produce more music.

5. Q: How do you feel about the music scene? What do you want to see change? Or happen?

Brandon: We want people to become more open-minded to music, especially our style. We work hard and we want to share our passion. I really want to see more local venues.
