In this article Oliver himself said Tommy wasn’t the instigator but was unsure of how to step outside of it and no one is attacking him for saying almost the same thing Lou said.

Anon. I am kissing you softly on thy forehead!
Ngl... I don't remember this interview!
Link for anyone who's interested HERE
It's short, but I snapped the important bits:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This article was published on March 22. The day AFTER episode 2.
... do you understand what this means??
It means that they were clearly aware of the backlash Tommy could face from his appearances on S2 and they deliberately made it known that they're friends now.
I'm sure some might argue that Hen isn't mentioned here, but from a storytelling angle, if Chim and Tommy are good, then so are Hen and Tommy.
And like... if Tommy is a "stepping stone" as they say... why not use that tension to get rid of him???
It's because TOMMY ISN'T A PLOT DEVICE AND HE'S MEANT TO SHOW GROWTH AND HE'S MEANT TO FIT WELL WITHIN THE 118 AND BUCK'S LIFE.
So, to quote the opposing side:
We are so fucking BACK
(We were never gone)

Umm... Does he realize that an "intimacy coordinator" isn't there for "chemistry" purposes, the coordinator is there so that everyone feels SAFE and respected on set, and so that whatever intimate scenes are being filmed can be CHOREOGRAPHED so that each person knows what's coming next? Like, this isn't a game. 🥴
Even if you feel like an Intimacy Coordinator ruins your "flow" of "spontaneity" or whatever, why would you even say that out LOUD??
Tumblr media
I don't even know how his fans can handle him doing interviews. I'd be praying and begging on my knees that he doesn't say anything foolish every single interview ROTFL 🤣

STRANGER THINGS SEASON 4 VOL. 1 REVIEW: THERE'S MORE TO LOOK INTO THE UPSIDE DOWN
Tumblr media
The series has come to its 4th season yet it feels like everything has just been started. The 1st season came last 2016 when we met the brave and ingenious characters. Until now, their characters are one of the reasons why the show is overflowing with views and comments. It is undeniable that Season 4 of Stranger Things is the best one yet. Season 4 feels like a best hits collection for Stranger Things, with a return to the show's dismal, occasionally squirm-inducing horror roots. The meaningful friendships and humorous relief are still present. But there's a recurring theme this season: dealing with previous trauma and real-life problems.
Read this for detailed information: https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/film-tv/a28284101/stranger-things-season-4-news-date-cast-spoilers/
Tumblr media
It looks like the upside-down has made a way for dangers in Hawkins. There are still more deepest and darkest things to find out. But finally, our character faves came back! Season 4 begins with the core Stranger Things cast dispersed over the world. Russians are holding Hopper, who is said to have died rescuing the world. Joyce, Will, Jonathan, and El have all relocated to the state of California. Meanwhile, a new set of threats emerges in Hawkins, Indiana, centered on the Creels, a Hawkins-based family slain in their house in the 1950s.
Likewise, each group has strange information regarding what is behind the ongoing teen killings in Hawkins. The group of Max, Lucas, Dustin, Nancy, Steve, Robin, and the new character Eddie investigating the creepy murders continue to haunt the town. Their Nancy Drew-style efforts to solve the mystery are admirable, but not at the sacrifice of comedy. The bond between Steve and Dustin is still one of the best on television today.
Jonathan, Mike Will, and a pizza-delivering stoner pal, Argyle, set up for an adventure to look for Eleven. Meanwhile, Hopper is in excruciating pain in his snow-covered Russian prison, but has no fear: Joyce and Murray are on the case. Winona Ryder and Brett Gelman make an excellent team, bumbling and bickering their way to the strangest rescue scheme ever devised.
Tumblr media
Eleven is pretty much on her own together with her papa who's trying to help her restore her powers. By remembering her traumatic past, El finds out a terrifying truth. This is one of the mind-blowing scenes in Season 4. You'll have to hit the pause button for any needed bathroom or snack breaks, because once this season starts rolling, it doesn't let up. Curiosity is overflowing with these episodes. You will be eager to know how El can get back her powers and what is the connection of her case to the ongoing murders in Hawkins. Never flinch an eye to see the plot twists!
Tumblr media
Stranger Things gets bigger and bigger. Season 3 has left us with questions and season 4 left our minds hanging. The nine-hour runtime has its highlights, including a midseason sequence in which the belligerent Max escapes the monster's grasp. However, there is just too much filler – dreary teenage melodrama, jokey but conventional action, and horror that lacks the genuine creep factor it once had. Outsiders fighting small-minded parochialism is more central than ever — the local Dungeons & Dragons club is labeled a Satanist cult — but it's not any more engaging. Looks like there is still more to look into for Vol. 2 that will be showing on July 1, 2022, watch out for Vecna!
Vol. 2? Look here to see the release date and what's more to look forward to!

Diversity for Diversity's Sake in the Heathers Remake
An increasingly common phenomenon is occurring in mainstream media, where shows are praised for the diversity of their casts and sold on the premise that they are great representations of some minority. Shows are now using their diverse cast as a marketing tool, and this is evident in several first teaser posts for the Heathers remake (see examples linked below) However, I don’t believe that this kind of representation, either for the purpose of ticking a politically correct checkbox or as a marketing tool, is an effective way to promote equality (see last post for more detailed explanation). To break this idea down, I want to examine the remake of Heathers, in which the original white, cishet, and thin Heathers are replaced with a plus-sized Heather Chandler, a genderqueer Heather Duke, and a black Heather McNamara. The whole point of the original movie was to explore the hierarchies present throughout high school, and the role of social identities when determining social class. The Heathers in the original are white, skinny, pretty, white and straight, which is effective because these traits give a person inherent power within society. The original film's success is due to its relatability for people who may have experienced discrimination from people like the Heathers, in and out of high school. Ostracisation based on undesirable genetics is present within popularity hierarchies within high school, but also in social, economic and political spheres throughout the rest of society. Many people have experienced some kind of oppression at the hands of people in power, and can relate to being treated differently because of things they cannot control—that’s partially what makes the original Heathers so successful. However, a lot of that relatability is taken away with the remake. The new Heathers are no longer cast as pretty, straight, white girls, but rather as individuals of marginalised identities.
Tumblr media
This attempt at diversity misses the point of the show, which is to show the harm of exclusivity that is present within social hierarchies, and how that can impact people who do not fit into social standards. The marginalised populations that the new Heathers represent simply do not have access to the privileges that make the original Heathers powerful in the first place—society has not evolved to that point yet. By putting minorities in privileged antagonist roles, and making the victims of the hierarchy a cishet white couple, not only does the remake disregard the challenges and ostracisation that marginalised populations face, but also dismantles the original purpose of the plot. Although I believe that the existence of marginalized villains is necessary in media, I don't believe that this is a good example of representation. The incorporation of marginalised characters should be specifically written to reflect the experience of being a part of that marginalised population, and not the superficial effort at diversity that is replacing existing characters with marginalised identities without any further changes to reflect how that new identity may impact the character’s experience. Mainstream media companies need to step up their game on this front, and strive for real diversity

the second season of house of dragons wrapped a few weeks ago as a lot of cast belonged to a different union. I’m not sure if the acting union is the same as the normal ones where you can pick and choose who to join and can leave one for another.
https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a45368394/house-of-the-dragon-season-2-filming-update/
The U.K. actors have a different union. They can't strike under U.K. law. Under SAG-AFTRA rules, Taylor Russell is a member of SAG-AFTRA. She has to be due to the roles that she's had in U.S. films.

Forefront 7: Black Noir’s Animated Psyche in The Boys - Season 3 (2022)
Season 3 of The Boys (2019-present) finally unveils more of the shrouded mystery that is Black Noir. One of the ‘‘Seven’’, he never utters a word and communicates only in writing in important situations. Not much is previously known about him other than his proficiency in the martial arts and of his super strength and heightened senses.
Background
We first get a glimpse of his background in season 3, with the mention of Soldier Boy and his entourage. Soldier Boy ends up violently beating Noir’s head and sticking it on top of a burning car. This incident leaves Noir brutally disfigured, causing his brain to regress and get stuck at the mental age of a child. It also causes him to experience hallucinations and delusions of cartoon characters which he imagines as his friends.

Style
The Boy’s showrunner, Eric Kripke, detailed that they wanted to show Noir’s inner thoughts during his contemplation and brooding because he has no one he can speak with. The show had already done flashbacks to introduce Soldier Boy’s connection to him and this time, they wanted to refrain from repeating the same style of storytelling. They intended on having the animations look like classic Disney, as ‘‘if Martin Scorsese made Snow White’’. These sweet-looking, fluid characters were to present the flashback in the most brutal fashion (Kripke, 2022).

This strange animated ‘‘dialogue’’ and the flahback made more sense considering Noir’s stunted mental state and finally revealed a glimpse of what the inside of the mystery super’s head looked like.
Psyche
We see him interact with his imaginary cartoon friends, including pizza mascot Buster Beaver, who apparently previously helped him deal with a mass murder, and a boner in school (Anderton, 2022).
Although it is implied that they are ever present, his imaginary friends seem to try and protect him. It seems like he has conjured them up as a form of protection for his mental state, to help him deal with his doings and with traumatic incidents.
When he briefly escapes from Vought’s clutches after learning of Soldier Boy’s return, he sits at an abandoned, dusty Buster Beaver restaurant to seemingly gather his thoughts. This is when Buster Beaver reassures him. We see the flashback in the same, adorably animated style, showcasing the most violent battle (Zalben, 2022).

Influence
Animation can achieve an idiosyncratic style of storytelling that live-action could struggle with, since it is devoid of the same limitations. This blended style has not been used much in live-action for such a profound execution, before. For this blend of 2D animation and live-action, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Mary Poppins, and even comics like Spider-Ham, which features a pig version of Spider-Man and a cat version of Captain America were referenced by the Animators at Six Point Harness (Davis, 2022). The team behind The Boys successfully uses animation to not only stylise this episode but to also appropriately address Black Noir’s stunted, child-like brain while also adding character.
My work often features inward and outward perspective of the characters - of themselves and of the world. This is a great way to execute an episode like this one, much like the imaginary companion that I manifested in my film for Optical Sound, which follows a lonely protagonist conjuring up a shadow to keep them company and mute their feeling of desolation and loneliness.
