Miséria misteriosa de meu sangue, suor negro de minha morte, martírio milenar de minh’alma, meu amor. A Bélgica é como a tua alma suave. O Congo é tumulto impenetrável, floresta de lama, felino ferido. Estou ao Norte, ao Sul, a Leste, a Oeste, crucificado em províncias paralíticas, em subúrbios de barro, onde se arrastam bestas mal abatidas, mulambos de Lisala, senzalas de Lusambo, Usumbara profunda com seu zabumba fúnebre, Inongo, Malonga – minha’alma. Mas a tua é suave de canais. Um crime se articula na aldeia petrificada, um guerreiro de lança percorre o vale ardente. Mas em tua alma, minha amiga, há um príncipe melancólico pendido para o crepúsculo. No Congo, violência, vingança, o ídolo vestuto que se estraçalha, o pântano de sangue, o voo do corvo, o rio da raiva, a garra do belga, a madrugada de carvão, a cova de Cristo, a luz de Lumumba. Na Bélgica, a suavidade dos canais, meu amor.

Kilonzo's brush-furred mouse (Lophuromys kilonzoi)

First described in 1987, this species of brush-furred mouse is known from only a few specimens collected in the Usumbara and Ulugur mountains of Tanzania. It was named after one of the people who brought home the holotype, Bukheti Swahele Kilonzo of the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Mokoino, Tanzania. Its total length ranges from 175-224 mm (6.9-8.8 inches).

Okay so vaquita dolphins are the next animal in my coloring book for the letter V, after u for Usumbara chameleon. I am almost unable to draw this one because it is so close to extinction and it's a very painful to think about, however they really need to be in my coloring book as they are some of the most amazing dolphins that have ever existed in this universe!
