Tumblr media
An eight-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix named Chrissy is looking for a forever family in Salt Lake City, Utah as she struggles with a recent cancer diagnosis.

Shortly after her rescue, she was diagnosed with cutaneous/SQ mast cell tumors, or MCTs, a type of cancer that has a good prognosis if the mass is removed.
Fortunately, Chrissy underwent surgery on December 17, 2022 to remove the tumor and biopsies all showed low-grade mast cell tumors.
According to the shelter, Chrissy is an adorable eight-year-old girl who is potty-trained, loves snacks, and is a great snuggler despite her medical issues. She also knows her basic commands. She has a kind heart and is friendly to everyone she meets.
Chrissy may need a little extra care as she was recently diagnosed with cancer, but she is said to be a sweet and loving puppy who knows basic commands and is potty trained. increase.
Anyone interested in adopting Chrissy can contact the Best Friends Animal Society by emailing [email protected] and mentioning her name.
Furthermore, from now until February, adopters can pay $14 at Best Friends Animal Society locations in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. 19, to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Those wishing to adopt can visit the Best Friends website to learn more about the adoption process and find other animals in need of a forever home. Animal lovers can make a big difference in the lives of these worthy animals by opening their hearts and homes to pets like Chrissy.
Dogs Needs Care as much as Humans
Dogs are beloved in many households around the world, providing their owners with love, companionship and even protection. However, owning a dog is a huge responsibility and caring for it requires attention, patience and dedication.
Here are some tips for taking care of your dog:
Regular veterinary check-ups: Your dog should have regular check-ups with a veterinarian to ensure they are healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations. If your dog shows any signs of illness or discomfort, schedule an appointment with a veterinarian as soon as possible.
Proper nutrition: Your dog’s diet should include high-quality, nutritious food that meets their specific needs based on their breed, size, and age. You should also make sure your dog has access to clean water at all times.
Exercise: Dogs need regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. Depending on your dog’s breed and size, they may need more or less exercise than others. Regular walks, playtime, and running can help keep your dog active and engaged.
Grooming: Regular grooming can help keep your dog’s coat healthy and shiny, as well as prevent any potential skin irritations or infections. Depending on your dog’s breed and coat type, they may require different levels of grooming.

Training: Proper training can help your dog understand basic commands and rules, as well as prevent any potential behavioral issues. Consistency and positive reinforcement are key when training your dog.
Safety: Your dog’s safety should be a top priority at all times. This includes keeping them on a leash or in a secure area when outside, providing identification tags, and keeping potentially harmful items out of reach.
Love and attention: Perhaps the most important aspect of taking care of a dog is providing love and attention. Spending quality time with your dog can help strengthen your bond and provide them with the emotional support they need.
Taking care of a dog requires time, effort, and patience. By following these tips and providing your furry friend with the love and attention they deserve, you can help ensure a happy and healthy life for your canine companion.
A Pitbull Care
Taking care of a Pitbull can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. Pitbulls are strong, energetic dogs that require lots of exercise, training, and attention. Here are some things you should know if you’re considering taking care of a Pitbull.
Exercise
Pitbulls are a high-energy breed and need plenty of exercise to keep them healthy and happy. Regular walks, runs, and playtime in a secure yard or dog park are essential for their physical and mental well-being. Without enough exercise, Pitbulls can become bored and destructive, which can lead to behavioral issues.
Training
Training is crucial for Pitbulls, especially as they have a reputation for being aggressive. However, with the right training, they can be loving and loyal companions. Basic obedience training is a must for all Pitbulls, and it’s also a good idea to enroll them in a socialization class to teach them how to interact with other dogs and people.
Socialization
Socialization is critical for Pitbulls. They can be territorial and protective, and they need to learn how to behave around other dogs and people. Early socialization can help prevent aggressive behavior and make them more comfortable in new situations...Read More

Repost from @adoptimism_kt - HELLO, WORLD! 🌍 My name is Katie Mae Jones. I am a hopeful adoptive mother :) 1. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently a preschool teacher in Orem, Utah. 2. A hobby of mine- playing piano. I hope to improve my skill, but I know I'll never be amazing at it. 🤷‍♀️ 3. Secret fear- wasps. No, not bees... just wasps. Those little buggers just float around looking for any reason to attack. Bullies ;) 4. Favorite Literary Character- Sherlock Holmes. Anyone see "Great Mouse Detective" as a child? Well, Basil, Disney's mouse version of Sherlock, was like my first crush as a little 6 year old, so I fell in love with Sherlock's intellect and sass. Let's face it, he's a sass queen. 🤴 . . . #adoption #adoptionrocks #adoptimism #openadoption #utahadoption #lookingtoadopt #waitingforbaby #waitingfamily #hopingtoadopt #adoptionjourney https://www.instagram.com/p/BtJgZA0BLGf/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1q2jx7fybngvp
