Fabio making Diogo happier since his arrival has me thinking about Diogo developing a crush on Fabio and absolutely denying it to himself and anyone who even hints at it. Fabio is his type, pretty, nice eyes, bendable, but Diogo has always just seen him as a friend. Until Fabio comes back to Porto on loan and there's something different about him, something far more alluring. Diogo doesn't know if it's the newness of this older Fabio or the comfort of having his friend back but suddenly his feelings feel less platonic. Suddenly, with VB making things horrible and results going wrong, Diogo finds happiness in seeing Fabio smile and joy in his company. Diogo thinks it would be so much easier if he just wanted to fuck him but no, he went and fell for him - 💙🤍

Yes! We got a softer version of them in another universe!

Fábio doesn’t even make that much of an effort to be the mood maker in the locker room. He remembers Diogo being quite independent and in his own bubble before games but now he finds the goalkeeper asking him to tighten the velcro on his gloves as pre-game ritual because the first time Fábio did it on the day of his return Diogo did a lot better.

They hate VB and bond over it. Diogo hates the man. Hates that so much pressure is placed on him as a senior player on the team and as the captain. He hates to see Fábio get axed out of the team over a bullshit tardiness rule. He hates VB even more when he humiliates Fábio and Pepê in the press. Diogo hates all of it but thankfully Fábio is more of a talker and does most of the angry rants for him.

Maybe part of the angst is that Fábio is not guaranteed to stay. If anything, big chances are that he leaves at the end of the season.

I also remembered that video of Fábio in goal during an Arsenal practice and stopping Xhaka’s shot (or maybe it was someone else’s, but Xhaka can be heard speaking in the background). But I think Fábio would definitely challenge Diogo playfully, yapping about being able to save any of his shots on net, Fábio would end up injuring himself (not seriously - like a sprained finger or something) and looking really stupid. But Diogo just finds him very cute. He loves seeing Fábio trying to make himself big in front of the goal, jumping and leaping up to make saves.

They are obviously a very hot pair but they can have a cute side for sure 🙂‍↕️
