The Last Kill! On this day, 77 years ago, Navy Lt. Cmdr. T.H. Reidy, commander of VBF 83, flying a Vought F4U Corsair, recorded the last confirmed US air-to-air kill of WWII (August 15, 1945). Reidy shot down a Nakajima C6N Saiun reconnaissance aircraft at 5:40 a.m. local time over Tokyo, just five minutes before the war officially ended.

By now the entire Grandcrest Crew had joined down on the bridge to watch the fireworks, the song Auld Lang Syne being sung by some people, namely Ashe and Leon, but Kianga and Grusha remained quiet, instead holding respectively young Umbreon, Ezio, or the small but growing fast Johtonian Meowth, Cerise, whose eyes light up at the dazzling fireworks above. The little Meowth makes her own wish -- to see more flowers in the sky next year and the year after that and for many years after.
Ashe's voice pelters at some point and she feels Lucky brush up against her, his ribbon finding her arm. Leon has an arm around her waist as she keeps her gaze skyward. A sense of melancholy and a sense of... nostalgia, Ashe should put it, washes over her. She can't help but wonder what the new year would bring and if anything, she just hoped it was an easygoing one. Leon seemed to notice her change in expression and leans over to press a kiss to the side of her head. "More adventures to come, right love?" Leon asked in hopes of cheering her up to which Ashe offers him a smile. "Yeah."

Ancient northern ocean on Mars evidenced by in situ observations of marine sedimentary rocks An international research team led by Professor Long Xiao from the School of Earth Sciences of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) discovered the presence of marine sedimentary rocks on the surface of Mars for the first time by comprehensively analyzing the scientific data obtained by the multispectral camera (MSCam) carried by the Zhurong rover. The relevant research results were published in the journal "National Science Review" under the title "Evidence for Marine Sedimentary Rocks in Utopia Planitia: Zhurong Rover Observations.” Currently Mars is cold and dry, lacking water and traces of life, but the Martian environment billions of years ago may have been very different. Past studies have proven that there was a large amount of liquid water on Mars in the early days, and the paleo-ocean hypothesis was proposed through landform analysis of satellite images and numerical simulation. It is proposed that the paleo-ocean area in the northern lowlands (top image) formed a special marine sedimentary geological unit, called the Vasitas Borealis Formation (VBF), but lacks the support of in situ data. Therefore, whether there was an ocean in the northern plain of Mars has been the focus of controversy for decades. In 2021, the "Zhurong" rover carried by China’s Tianwen-1 Mars mission successfully landed on the southern edge of the Utopia Plain in the eastern part of the northern plain of Mars. Part of the mission was to search for any possible evidence for or against the existence of an ancient ocean on Mars, which possibly may have hosted early life. Since landing, the Zhurong has been heading south towards potential coastline areas, observing the exposed Vasitas Borealis Formation along the way. Zhurong traveled about 1921 meters (centre image), and used different imaging and analysis systems to conduct detailed in-situ observations of outcrops and surface rocks. The navigation and terrain cameras have obtained 106 sets of panoramic images, which recorded in detail "the surface morphology and structural characteristics of many rocks near the route of the Zhurong rover. The research team examined the photos sent back by the Mars rover's on-board camera and found that the exposed rocks developed bedding structures, which are significantly different from the common volcanic rocks on the surface of Mars, and also different from the bedding structures formed by aeolian sand deposition. The structures indicated bidirectional flow characteristics consistent with low-energy tidal currents in Earth's littoral-shallow marine environment. Based on the rock images obtained by MSCam, the research team analyzed in detail the surface structure of the rocks in the inspection area of the Zhurong rover. Since the observed rocks are all located in the Zhurong inspection area, the research team named the geological unit it represents the Zhurong Member. During the study, the research team found that the rocks in the section typically retain local lens-shaped cross-bedding fabrics, mainly composed of a variety of small-scale cross-bedding, accompanied by a small amount of lens-shaped flaser bedding and sedimentary structures of small channel structures (lower image). Among them, the layers that make up the cross-bedding overlap and tilt in two opposite directions, indicating a bidirectional paleocurrent environment. In addition, since the thickness and grain size of the strata have large differences in different directions, it indicates that there are differences in the intensity of paleocurrents in the two directions. This bidirectional water flow pattern is usually formed by the fluid action with periodic flow direction changes, which is not common in eolian and fluvial environments, but is common in the littoral-shallow sea environment of Earth. Compared with Earth, Mars has only two small satellites, which makes its surface have a low-energy tidal system, and only small-scale bedding structures can be formed in this tidal environment. In addition, the bedforms and sedimentary structures identified in the study have evidence supporting aqueous flow rather than eolian deposition. The team’s observational results of the Zhurong member rocks in this study are the first direct in situ evidence detected to support the existence of ancient oceans in the northern plains of Mars. The location of the landing site of Zhurong indicates that the observed sedimentary structures may have formed during the regression of the northern plain paleo-ocean (bottom image). The sedimentary structures found in the Vasitas Borealis Formation provide new insights into the early history of Mars. The in-depth exploration by Zhurong in this area and future sample return will deepen our understanding of the habitability of Mars and the preservation of microbial life traces. Turning gaze skyward as the three men were heading out with their bags in tow, a comet had begun to streak across the night sky. While the closing ceremonies had been lovely as well as their time here, it was time to head home to their own timeline and observe the race Ashe had gotten herself into in another place in this timeline.
Caught up in the comets streaking across the sky however, Leon and Kianga watched with a large or small smile depending on the man while Grusha merely looked at his phone. He had seen plenty of comets. This one wasn't anything special as the other ones were. That being said, as soon as it ended, the trio were headed to a more quiet spot to be teleported back to their own timeline, disappearing as if they had never been there.

Đâu là định nghĩa của TBF về một văn phòng hay một toà nhà có tính bền vững?
Có thể hiểu một toà nhà/ văn phòng có tính bền vững (hay còn được gọi là toà nhà xanh) được thiết kế với tư duy và triết lý có trách nhiệm với môi trường, tối ưu tài nguyên và tiết kiệm chi phí trong quá trình thiết kế, thi công, vận hành và bảo dưỡng trong suốt vòng đời của một tòa nhà.
Một toà nhà có tính bền vững hướng tới giảm thiểu tác động tới môi trường thông qua nhiều cách khác nhau, điển hình như sử dụng các vật liệu xây dựng thân thiện với môi trường và có tính bền vững; sử dụng năng lượng tái tạo, giảm thiểu rác thải và phát thải khí thải nhà kính. Đặc biệt, yếu tố sức khoẻ của người lao động cũng sẽ được tính đến trong quá trình thiết kế, để từ đó, công trình góp phần mang lại phúc lợi chung cho người làm việc tại tòa nhà.
Ngoài nhu cầu theo “xu hướng”, một toà nhà bền vững sẽ giúp gì cho việc giảm thiểu phát thải carbon và cho người sử dụng? 
Theo một chia sẻ mới đây tại Diễn đàn Doanh nghiệp Việt Nam (VBF) thường niên năm 2023, lĩnh vực xây dựng đóng góp khoảng 6% lượng phát thải khí nhà kính tại Việt Nam. Lĩnh vực này cũng đang được Chính phủ quan tâm và vạch ra những lộ trình chuyển đổi để góp phần giảm phát thải khí nhà kính nói chung, hướng tới đạt được mục tiêu về Net zero vào năm 2050.
Ở phạm vi nhỏ hơn, tính bền vững được thể hiện cụ thể khi một toà nhà có tính tới các yếu tố môi trường trong quá trình thiết kế, thi công, bảo dưỡng. Bằng cách sử dụng các vật liệu ít phát thải trong chính quá trình xây dựng, tiết kiệm năng lượng sử dụng trong tòa nhà thông qua việc sử dụng hệ thống chiếu sáng, sưởi ấm và làm mát tiết kiệm điện năng sẽ góp phần giảm phát thải carbon vào môi trường.
Những cách hiểu chưa đúng về văn phòng/ tòa nhà bền vững hiện nay tại Việt Nam?
Đầu tiên, nhiều người thường đánh đồng “bền vững” là “xanh” - tức là tòa nhà nào có thật nhiều cây xanh, mảng xanh tức đó là toà nhà mang tính bền vững. 
Thứ hai, “bền vững" đi kèm với “chi phí đắt đỏ" so với những cách xây dựng truyền thống thông thường. Đây là một trong những lầm tưởng phổ biến nhất hiện nay.
Thứ ba, xây dựng bền vững chỉ dành cho những công trình hay dự án mới và có quy mô lớn. Trên thực tế, các tòa nhà hiện tại vẫn có thể cải thiện tính bền vững của mình thông qua việc trang bị và cải tạo thêm. 
Cuối cùng, thiết kế bền vững thường đơn điệu và không nổi bật. Đây là một quan niệm không chính xác.
Chúng ta nên xem xét những yếu tố nào để xác định liệu không gian có được thiết kế với tư duy bền vững hay không?
Có nhiều yếu tố khác nhau, ở đây, tôi có thể liệt kê một số khía cạnh để các bạn tham khảo.
- Hệ thống chiếu sáng và thiết bị tiết kiệm năng lượng
- Sử dụng các nguồn năng lượng tái tạo
- Sử dụng nước hiệu quả
- Sử dụng vật liệu bền vững
- Quản lý chất thải hợp lý
- Chất lượng không khí, lưu thông gió bên trong tòa nhà, khả năng tiếp cận với ánh sáng tự nhiên hay có nhiều mảng xanh trong toà nhà 
- Khả năng tiếp cận với hệ thống giao thông công cộng, có chỗ để xe đạp cho nhân viên cũng như một số hạng mục khác như nhà tắm, khu dốc cho xe lăn,…
