Speaking about stupid people you have to deal with on your job... 

Imagine the following conversation between someone working at a car repair shop and a customer on the phone: 

Hello, I think my car is broken. What’s wrong with it? It started smoking and turned real hot, and now it won’t work anymore. Smoking? What were you doing when that happened? Just driving, normally. I was going 140 km/h on the Autobahn and it started smoking. Okay... What car is it? Um, I don’t know. A car. With wheels.  Err... yes. But what brand? I have no idea. But hold on a second, I’ll go out and check.... Okay, I think it’s a ‘Veew’ A what? A Veew. Do you mean VW, Volkswagen? That’s the one.  Okay, what model is it? I don’t know. It’s just one of the regular ones. I bought it at yours. Err, yes ma’am, but we have many different types of cars here. I need to know which brand and model it is to help you.  It’s... hold on, let me check.  Sure. I’ll wait.  Okay, it’s a Golf.  All right. That car should be able to go 140. What else were you doing?  Nothing, just driving.  Okay, and... what gear were you in? Um, no idea. What’s a gear? Well, your car has five, and there’s that stick in the middle of the front area where you shift from one gear to the other.  Ah that. Yeah, I dunno which one I chose. I just switched them around a bit. Third I think. Okay, but... when you’re going 140 you should definitely be in 5th gear. Why? The car papers say it can go 190.  Well, just because it can it doesn’t mean it can in EVERY gear. If you were in third gear then you definitely can’t go 140 kilometres per hour. 100 max, and that’s stretching it by far. 

And so on...  Something like this would be pretty much unthinkable with CARS. With e-cigarettes however, I have such and similar conversations at least twice a week. Especially the part about not knowing the model name. How the fuck am I supposed to figure out the problem (e.g. it being too hot or tasting burnt) when I don’t even know what device they’re using. You WOULDN’T ask for a car repair without knowing the name of your car model. Why do you do that with e-cigarettes when you bought it in a shop with several shelves stacked with all sorts of different models? You SAW that there are more than one type of e-cig.  Ugh. So fucking frustrating.
