“Yo nací en esta ribera del Arauca vibrador…” 🌹☀️ . No existe un venezolano en todo el planeta que no haya cantado el “Alma llanera”, que indudablemente es nuestro segundo himno nacional. . El “Alma Llanera” fue estrenada como parte de una zarzuela el 10 de septiembre de 1914. Luego Pedro Elías Gutiérrez decide independizar la pieza de la zarzuela musical y así monta la canción con la Banda Marcial de Caracas. La estrena en la plaza Bolívar de Caracas, en la retreta de despedida del año, el 31 de diciembre de 1914. . Esta viejita que tiene una vigencia de 105 años tiene la particularidad de emocionar hasta las lágrimas. Cuando se escucha fuera del país parece crear un puente emocional entre el corazón, la nostalgia y el llanto. . Alfredo Sadel, Aldemaro Romero, Juan Vicente Torrealba, y por supuesto, Simón Díaz, la han interpretado. También voces internacionales la han hecho suya: Gilberto Santa Rosa, Julio Iglesias, Pedro Fernández, Plácido Domingo, Jorge Negrete y la National Philarmonic Orchestra of London 🎵🎵 . Sin embargo, estamos casi seguros que no hay nada más sublime y emocionante que escucharla con los extraordinarios músicos de la Orquesta Simón Bolívar de Venezuela 🎶🎶 . ¿Por qué se usaba para cerrar cualquier evento? . Desde los primeros años de su interpretación, el “Alma Llanera” cerraba las retretas de los domingos en la plaza Bolívar, que fue donde se popularizó este joropo. Era solicitado por el público, al final, cada vez que la banda se presentaba. . . Con el tiempo creció su popularidad y era interpretada por las orquestas locales para cerrar los bailes. Hacia finales de los años cuarenta la Billo’s Caracas Boys incluyó el “Alma Llanera” en su primer LP. .
