imagine the same dabi from ur love is series .. like the reader is really kind, warm, and so forgiving & patient with him (even though dabi can be very harsh) the reader takes him in despite everything .. but what if the reader is still pining for someone else ?-? it can be an ex or jus a long time childhood friend theyve always had feelings for !

im interested to know ur thoughts to how dabi would react & feel when the first person he's ever fallen for; the person who's made him feel loved & cared for to be hung up or having feelings for someone else ㅠoㅠ

ok now moving onto the actual content lol im not gonna write a full piece on this but i do have some Thots....

while i do think that something like that is such a heartbreakingly tragic fallout that could make a beautiful story line...i just dont see reader doing that??? like i think the whole reason they are the way they are with touya (patient when he's harsh, gentle when he's cornered, sturdy when he falters) is because they are just as in love with him as he is them! the whole series is basically me giving touya the love and care he deserves LMFAO so i envision reader as the embodiment of his personal little angel for his little broken soul </3 i see their dynamic kinda like the "A fell first but B fell harder" trope, i think touya and reader are just as much in love with one another, but go through their own journeys with coming to that realization and showing that outwardly. and i think thats the beautiful thing about learning to love! its different for everyone and doesnt have a specific shape or form. its like water, slipping through crevices and malleable to the touch

but hypothetically taking this question out of context from the series and just thinking about touya loving someone who loves someone else, i don't even think he'd let himself. i think everything he does is an internal battle, so even if someone loved him wholeheartedly, he'd still try his very hardest not to let himself reciprocate it. hes been hurt too many times and has dealt with too much pain to even let himself try. i also think its pretty clear that he views himself as a lost cause and has one sole thing in mind for himself before dying, so i truly dont think he'd allow himself to fall in love with anyone, let alone someone who doesnt feel it back. hes so pathetically stubborn, i dont think he'd ever allow himself to indulge in something as fragile as love

second of all aRE WE ON THAT STRANGER THINGS SHIT??? i gotta ask how are you feeling abt the current nancy/steve/jonathan situation because me personally i am feelin very not happy about it mostly because i love jonathan but this season is making it very hard to actively love jonathan and prefer him over steve when he’s a) not there and b) on some dumb bitch shit. like literally rewatching s2/3 to remind myself why i love jonathan but at the same time i love steve i just,,, dont love steve with nancy so why are the writers seemingly pushing steve and nancy?? very upsetting to me so i wanted to see your thoughts (also very upsetting that i have to wait till jUly for pt 2 but oh well we cope)

oh gosh honestly i’m not a huge fan of it, steve is one of my faves and i hate to see him being almost like ??? jerked around by the writers, if that makes sense??? like he just can’t seem to catch a break especially in the relationship department (my boyfriend rly wants steve to find a good girl and settle down and be happy LMAO) and they’re dangling nancy in front of him like a piece of meat, which is imo disrespectful to nancy’s character, too.

i like her with jonathan. i think they have a really interesting dynamic and that they each bring something to the table in their relationship, and they’re a lot more interesting to watch than her and steve (who is obviously the ‘safe’ and generic choice for somebody like nancy; somebody who comes from a good home and a good family). it’s fun and intriguing to watch her and jonathan try and navigate + reconcile these differences in a way that works for both of them, and i really love that good girl/troubled boy trope (tho jonathan isn’t necessarily what i’d call ‘troubled’, but he’s definitely had a rougher home life than nancy).

so yeah, i agree with you, it’s annoying!!!!! i wish they’d give steve like his own romantic storyline apart from nancy. i get that she was like his first love or whatever and that’s sweet, but i think it would be super interesting to see steve fall for a more ‘troubled’ girl and explore those dynamics there. i think he’d be sooooo sweet 🥺🥺🥺

I have ships I like and ships I don’t and ships I’m indifferent about, but I’m a firm believer in the ship and let ship principle~ sadly bkdk is strictly platonic for me (I see them too much as sibs for it to work in a romantic way, at this point), but I do adore their relationship and the way Horikoshi is writing it TT^TT it’s def one of my favorite Bakugou relationships, such a wonderfully complex story 💕

I have in the past drawn them in AUs inspired by characters from other fandoms, if that’s what you’re asking! At the top of my head I can remember drawing them as Black⭐Star and Tsubaki from Soul Eater, Doumeki and Watanuki from xxxHolic and Jacuzzi and Nice from Baccano!, but I’m sure those are not the only ones... I’m never against that sort of AUs, if you have anything you’d like to see ask and I’ll see if I know the fandom you’re thinking about! :D

I don’t ship it, sorry :( as far as shipping Bakugou goes, I only ship him around if Kirishima is involved - I do have a few Baku ships I like just for the aesthetics (like with Jirou, or Todoroki!) but I wouldn’t really call it “shipping”, I just like to see them next to each other cause their designs work well together haha

I’ve never, actually :thinking: the vld fandom is very scary to me so I try to keep away from it, ngl! I’ve also not watched past the first season of the cartoon itself so by now I don’t think I have the necessary information to make AUs based on that fandom, but the concept of my kids in space or piloting mechas is a wonderful one nonetheless haha

Oh heck thank you so much for being interested in something like that! I’ve actually thought about something of the like, but if I ever did it would be a small zine with pieces made specifically for it! I’ve said this a couple of times before, but I’m really only interested in dabihawks if Dabi is Touya at this point! I might change my mind if Hori develops their relationship more, but right now that’s how it is... and until I have more concrete proofs of Touya and Dabi being the same person I don’t wanna get too involved with the ship, in case I end up disappointed haha
