I’ve been replaying Andromeda, and it really is A LOT more enjoyable this time around, haha. A whole different experience.

It seems like the patches went a long way towards fixing various mechanical issues, and mods helped me fix a lot of other (mostly visual) nitpicks I had. Also it’s just been nice playing the game at a leisurely pace, instead of racing to keep up with everyone else playing lol.

I definitely still have some personal problems with it -- like the development hell, the animations, and whoever thought Gil’s character arc was a good idea, among other things -- but overall I’m really having a great time this go-around. I maintain this game may not be perfect, but I still consider it better than it was given credit for.

Still a little bummed that we never got story DLC for it, and will definitely never get a sequel. I wanted to see them explore the Kett society more, give us a more in-depth look at the Jardaan, and let us find out wtf happened with the Quarian ark lol. Ah well. :(
