Willpower! Great show and totally enjoyed myself watching this drama. I cannot emphasize how great Vincent Wong is at portraying the rich ass kid that thinks he can get away with literally anything in the world because of his wealth and power in the business industry. I really hated Ka Yiu for his arrogance and playboy image which shows how great Vincent Wong did.

I was also impressed by Power Chan’s portrayal of the character Ka Cheung with autism. Even though he hadn’t much to play in the beginning of the story, his performance went from good to amazing at the end. Especially at the last second episode when he was summoned to court as a witness and due to the overwhelming amount of stress from lawyer Sum and his mom, he almost broke down in court.

One other thing i liked was all the funny scenes between Moses Chan and Wayne Lai. Their characters Morris and Wilson (OH! Realized they gave them English names that has the same beginning letter as their real names. Random...) were HILARIOUS with that friendly rivalry between them. Even though they look all serious during the debates at court, the mini “competition” they had at the hospital while trying to recover from their illness or to impress the ladies and also the stupid ideas they had while being captured by the gang were all really entertaining and funny 😆 it was nice to see them being friendly and going out for drinks and exchanging ideas to also help each other out at the end. One other thing is that I’m amazed at their ability to memorize that much amount of lines to be delivered in court. Moses Chan and Wayne Lai are seriously the few top actors out there.

Moving on, I was so so so annoyed at the casting of lawyer Sum... no offense to the veteran actor Chung King Fai but well... unpopular opinion here but it was annoying to always see him with that constipated face when things are not going his way... It is true that his character as a manipulative and greedy lawyer played a part at “hating” on him as an audience watching.. but the lack of a charismatic and powerful feel as a famous lawyer from the actor makes it even more hateful towards him. I’d rather have him remain as the preachy-grandfather-at-home-giving-life-lessons-to-grandkids type of role. And seriously, I think Chen Fala can be his granddaughter instead of her father... IMO, I would rather cast Hugo Ng for this role...

The end was as what every character deserved for what they have done. And there wasn’t much to complain about. Simple end to the entire series with Morris and Wilson continuing their jobs as lawyers and friends.

Now I understand why Vincent Wong received the best actor award for Legal Mavericks at that year’s award show (in contrast to Best Actor given to Kenneth Ma for Big White Duel in 2019.. no offense but was his performance that great?!guess it’s an encouragement award after all that has happened...) I have to admit, it was impressive not only for Vincent Wong but for the entire cast (Sisley Choi, Owen Cheung and Ali Lee)

Luckily they included “superhero” as a genre for the drama since Hope man’s acute senses was a little too dramatized to me.. heard there were criticisms surrounding Sisley Choi’s acting as being too loud and Tracy Chu receiving many critical acclaims. I really beg to differ and instead find that Sisley Choi’s portrayal of Sis Dean was so well done. As a law clerk who likes Hope Man and brother/sister to Gogo, Never and her triad gang, she delivered it so well that it was almost believable. The way she joked around with Gogo to being able to scream and cry at Hope Man’s “heartless” behavior, I really liked her buck teeth character. Tracy chu however was just being sweet and smart who studied law and medicine while trying to protect the boyfriend, ran away from the wedding and sadly lost her life... No offense but I don’t think I can remember any scenes where her acting was really impressive.

It was so so exciting at the end and I have to admit the stunt team did a super realistic job. The part where Dean Sis was flung aside after being hit by that taxi was so damn real. And also the fight scene Tai Tak Yan and Gogo in the warehouse felt really real! Omg it was such a sad moment when the super team started falling apart with sis dean hurting her legs, never going missing and Gogo stuck in jail. Hope man started tearing at Sis dean bedside was real feels!!!

Too bad Never had that ending. Was it coincidence that they removed her character plus her comments on hk politics that led to her lessened opportunity at filming dramas at tvb..? Too bad we can’t see her in Legal Mavericks II and was “replaced” by Kelly Cheung (why is she getting so much opportunities to shine... seeing her everywhere). Anyway back to the ending, unrealistic when Hope man being blind can actually fight Tai Tak Yan, who is an able bodied and fit, in the woods.. ??! well, superhero drama I guess. Sad that Gogo had to serve time in prison for sth he didn’t do... but luckily everyone was happy at the end!

The Impossible 3!

Didn't expect it would take only 6 episodes for the entire show. I thought it wasn't updating or something was wrong with the uploading.

Anyway, a very funny and entertaining story. I like how they throw not only the audiences but also the characters into their own imaginary world, thinking about how they would react differently in the situations they are facing. I like how they create simple characters that are relatable. 作家 who is a story writer that faces writers block sometimes. Bou Yi who is (supposedly... until revealed at the end) a normal tour guide that likes to fantasize about being cool in action films/drama. Last was Mou tze who is a stuntman but yet always timid and almost chickening out of all the dangerous stuff. It was nice to humanize the characters and allowing audiences to relate to them instead of putting them as those action-hero/heroine who always saves the day.

The humor was done right, not overly exaggerated. I was laughing at all the funny conversations and action esp Bosco W. whose character is literally 怕死. Nice to see a little cameo by some of the famous HK actors like Vincent W., Moses C. and Sammy S. I think the pairing of Chilam C., Chrissie C. and Bosco W. was done right and I also like how they simply split the entire drama into 3 different stories (Saving the kids from illegal trading, Saving Jackey C. (Bou Yi's friend) and the Revelation of Bou Yi's identity). Easy to keep up with and entertaining enough. Furthermore, the fact that it was short with only 6 episodes made it way quicker to finish.

All in all, a very entertaining and short series to kill time. Chrissie C. was as cool as I've seen her in White War and the other two guys made looking cool and swag really easy. Loved the humor incorporated and also how the characters just stand around sometimes trying to give off the Avengers-team-slow-mo-walk. Entertaining!
