Hello everyone and hope you’ve had a great week! Today I’m sharing three more books that I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on recently. I started collecting the Vintage Modern Classics Designer Editions and of course, I couldn’t stop at a few, I’m adding to my collection bit by bit and these are the latest two editions, A Far Cry From Kensington by Muriel Spark and My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier. Another older book that I couldn’t resist was Clare Chambers first novel, Uncertain Terms. I read her recent Women’s Prize longlisted novel, Small Pleasures recently, completely fell in love with it and was determined to read her entire backlist of works. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Hello everyone and happy Friday! I’m still so grateful for taking photos in advance as unfortunately I’m still poorly and mostly confined to my bed. Ah, the joys of chronic illness! 😅 I talked on Monday about wanting to get the whole Virago Modern Classics Designer Editions and these are four more gorgeous ones I managed to get my mitts on. They are: The Birds (and other stories) - Daphne du Maurier. This is one of my favourite books, I always recommend it! Jamaica Inn - Daphne du Maurier - another of my favourites and the second book I read of hers after Rebecca. The Magic Toyshop - Angela Carter - unread but I have read and enjoyed the author before. I love this cover so much! The Enchanted April - Elizabeth von Arnim - unread, one I hadn’t heard of before now but I’m excited to get to.
