On this day, 5 years ago, I took my first violin lesson with Lumière, the violin! I was 27 years old and at that time, I honestly didn't think I would be able to learn, after all I was too old for that! . Now Beren and I still have a lot to learn, I often feel frustrated and think about giving up. But music is part of me now and brings me a lot of joy, so I can say: 𝓘'𝓶 𝓪 𝓿𝓲𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓼𝓽!! "All progress takes place outside the comfort zone"😊 Practicing at the 3rd position.😅 I'm still frustrated by slow ability to read the 3rd position notes faster and get the right intonation and put my fingers on the right notes faster. 💪That is the situation. FOR NOW. 😤 However,  im sure with deliberate practice i will be able to master it eventually. 💪😊 It's similar to when i was starting to learn how to play the violin and the first position notes.  I must break through my comfort zone and practice doing things that are not comfortable.  Being comfortable with the first position may make me feel good, and have a secure and happy feeling but it doesnt allow me to grow and learn more about the things i need to learn about the violin.  Just like when i was beginning to play the violin, it wasn't comfortable, i was frustrated and sometimes skipped practice when i didn't felt like practicing. 🙈✌Everything is uncomfortable at the beginning but I did stick with it, and disciplined myself to continue even when I'm not in the mood, then eventaully i did slowly get better. 😁 The only time you can actually grow is when you are outside your comfort zone.  It doesnt matter where you are starting from, what matters is you are willing to learn. 😁 #violin #violinist #violinbeginner #violinplayer #music #musician #comfortzone #continuousimprovement #deliberatepractice #3rdposition #outsidecomfortzone #continuetolearn #discipline #determination #practice #violinpractice #deliberatepractice https://www.instagram.com/p/Bud244kgf5Z/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=74vfoyll2xc2

Celebrate every small wins😁 with every practice session i try very hard😆 to have at least a list of things that i have accomplished problem solved: slurring "whizzing" sound during string crossings skills improved: rythm with slurs (im able to keep with the metronome this time)🙈💪 something learned: speed = fast finger shifts and slow bow its challenging because with every problem solved another one comes up😅 but it doesnt matter. we should celebrate every small wins. of course the results wont be immediately apparent but i belive that these small wins will lead to achieving my hidden and full potential.💪celebrate every tiny victory #violinplayer #violin #violinbeginner #violinist #practice #smallsteps #celebratesmallsteps #practicegoals
