hey happy Pokemon day or whatever but I just realized.

No one is talking about the datamine from prior to scarvio release that stated there was gonna be paradox Suicune (Walking Wake the beloved, clearly, from how many posts on the Pokemon tag I've seen) and paradox Virizion (Iron Leaves, absolutely naming mine Verizon Wireless if I can fit it somehow). Or at least no videos I've watched talking about those two ever mentioned the prior datamine so it's like. These were swept under the rug, we all forgot, and Pokemon company really went: "oh my god, finally, something that got mined was forgotten about, time to release these and have no one remember the Mining Incident" and then there's me who's memory is dogwater at best being like ahaha.

I still wish, however, that we'd gotten the paradox mons from the books, I wanted to see how those would work, they would have been so cool. Not complaining about Walking Wake though, he's baby. I named mine Serenity.

keldeo and grovyle?

I hate to dissapoint but I never had a strong opinion or much of an interest in Keldeo? This could change but at the time, I don't really have anything to say about him. To my defense, both Pokemon BW and the Keldeo movie hammered home this idea to me that the Swords of Justice are parental figures to Keldeo so seeing how Virizion and Keldeo's dynamic is portrayed as a friendship instead caught me off-guard and I'm still trying to... get used to it?? Does that make sense?

Anyways Grovyle my beloved was like half of the reasons I cried several times the first time I watched an EoT playthrough. This poor lizard dude has gone through so much and I know there's mixed opinions on the ending of SE5, but one of the reasons I'm glad the future Pokemon survive is because that means Grovyle gets to live in a peaceful world without the pressure of needing to sacrifice everything for the greater good. I said before that I love how Explorers Hero feels like an actual character who had previously existing relationships with other characters and while his whole deal with Hero makes you feel sorry for him, the game manages to make you feel attached to him even with the player character not remembering their friendship with Grovyle. I also think it's fascinating how he seems kinda cold, fighting any Pokemon who get in his way and leaving Hero and Partner behind to concentrate on his mission, but he shows to care about others a lot. He holds concern for Hero and Partner after parting ways with them, even if he felt the need to go on on his own while they didn't trust him, and he reasoned with Dusknoir after being tricked by him, just because he still believed that Dusknoir had the potential to make things right. Grovyle deserves the whole world and therapy.

for electrics,, fun fact, electric types was my first ‘favorite’ type when i was little! my definitive answer!

back then, pichu and pachirisu were my top two favorites!

asdkghsd wow okay. this is hard!

1. gates partner! this was a difficult choice but i gotta give it to them. the best partner in my opinion and the pmd character that lives the most rent free in my mind. they mean so much to me...gates partner my absolute and complete beloved ;-;

2. munna! the best pmd antagonist and the most painfully relatable character in the entire series. gates would not be the same without her. i just want to give her a hug and tell her everything will be okay

3. grovyle!! love that funky lizard. an absolutely iconic character and i adore him with my whole heart. thank u for ur service mr grovyle i love you

4. virizion!! wife. love her. one of the, if not the best written character(s) in pmd. all of her speeches make me cry. watching her grow over the course of gates never gets old and im so proud of her

5. chatot! look i know about the whole apple woods thing. i know. i get it. but still. i'm a sucker for strict, stickler-type characters (chatot reminds me of cheren from bw/bw2 and i love them both)
