How does a virtual trade show work?
A virtual trade show is an online event where businesses can showcase their products and services to potential customers and partners. Virtual trade shows are typically held on a virtual event platform, which provides attendees with access to a variety of features, such as:
Virtual booths: Exhibitors can create and customize their own virtual booths, where they can display product information, videos, and other marketing materials. Attendees can visit virtual booths to learn more about products and services, and to chat with booth representatives in real time.
Networking: Virtual trade shows typically offer a variety of networking features, such as one-on-one and group video chats, and instant messaging. This allows attendees and exhibitors to connect with each other and build relationships.
Educational sessions: Many virtual trade shows also offer educational sessions, such as webinars, workshops, and panel discussions. These sessions can provide attendees with valuable insights into the latest industry trends and best practices.
To attend a virtual trade show, attendees typically need to register for an account on the event platform. Once registered, they can browse the list of exhibitors and visit virtual booths to learn more about products and services. Attendees can also network with other attendees and exhibitors, and attend educational sessions.
Virtual trade shows offer a number of advantages over traditional in-person trade shows, including:
Cost: Virtual trade shows are typically less expensive to host and attend than in-person trade shows. This is because there are no costs associated with renting a venue, setting up booths, or traveling to and from the event.
Convenience: Virtual trade shows can be attended from anywhere in the world, with an internet connection. This makes them more accessible to businesses and individuals who may not be able to travel to a physical trade show.
Reach: Virtual trade shows can attract a global audience, which is not possible with in-person trade shows.Overall, virtual trade shows offer a convenient and affordable way for businesses to connect with potential customers and partners from all over the world.

London, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene, is a premier destination for art enthusiasts and collectors. The city’s diverse range of galleries, auction houses, and online platforms offers a plethora of opportunities for those looking to purchase paintings.
The London art market caters to a wide array of tastes and budgets, from contemporary works by emerging artists to classic masterpieces by renowned painters.
The Gallery Scene
London Art gallery scene is bustling with activity, featuring both high-end and more accessible options. Renowned galleries such as the Tate Modern, Saatchi Gallery, and the National Gallery showcase works by world-famous artists, offering a glimpse into the masterpieces that have shaped art history.
Tumblr media
While these institutions primarily display works for viewing, many associated galleries and private venues offer London paintings for sale. For instance, the Saatchi Gallery often collaborates with contemporary artists whose works are available for purchase.
Smaller, independent galleries in neighbourhoods like Shoreditch, Soho, and Mayfair provide a more intimate setting for discovering new talent. These galleries often feature rotating exhibitions, giving buyers the chance to acquire unique pieces directly from the artists.
Places like the Whitechapel Gallery and the Flowers Gallery are excellent spots to find contemporary and modern art that might not yet have reached mainstream recognition but hold significant artistic value.
Auction Houses
London’s auction houses are the perfect places to explore for those interested in more prestigious or historic pieces. Leading auction houses like Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and Bonhams regularly hold auctions that feature a wide range of paintings, from Old Masters to contemporary works.
These auctions offer a chance to acquire rare and valuable pieces, often with a rich provenance.
Attending an auction can be an exhilarating experience, with the possibility of securing a treasured painting at a competitive price. Both seasoned collectors and new buyers can benefit from the expertise of auction house specialists, who provide insights and guidance on the artworks available for sale.
Online Platforms
In the digital age, the online art market has become increasingly significant. Websites like Artsy, Artnet, and Saatchi Art offer extensive catalogs of paintings from London-based artists and galleries.
These platforms provide a convenient way to browse, compare, and purchase artwork from the comfort of your home. Many online platforms also feature virtual tours and detailed artist profiles, enhancing the buying experience.
Art Fairs and Events
London hosts numerous art fairs and events throughout the year, such as the Frieze Art Fair, the Affordable Art Fair, and the London Art Fair. These events bring together a diverse array of galleries and artists, offering paintings that suit all tastes and budgets.
Attending these fairs provides an excellent opportunity to explore a wide range of artworks in one place and to meet artists and gallery owners personally. Art prints UK offer a versatile and affordable way to enjoy and collect artwork.
Available from various sources such as online stores, galleries, and art fairs, these prints feature works by both renowned and emerging artists. They provide an accessible entry point for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Art as an investment can yield significant financial returns while providing aesthetic enjoyment. Investors often seek works by established or emerging artists, anticipating appreciation in value over time.
Diversifying a portfolio with art offers a tangible asset that can withstand market fluctuations, making it a unique and potentially profitable investment.
Conclusion
Whether you are a seasoned collector or a first-time buyer, London’s vibrant art market offers an abundance of opportunities to purchase beautiful paintings.
From prestigious auction houses and renowned galleries to bustling art fairs and innovative online platforms, the city is a treasure trove for anyone looking to invest in or simply enjoy fine art.

Isabelle Wenzel
Isabelle Wenzel (b. 1982, Germany) studied to be a photographer/artist, but is also a trained acrobat. Usually, she sets her own body before the camera. Within the seconds that the self-timer allows her, she assumes an impossible position and continues to hold it until the camera has clicked.
The central focus of the photographs of Isabelle Wenzel is the body as a physical form, rather than people themselves. By making a photograph, she freezes a pose in time as it were, and in doing so draws attention to the sculptural qualities of the body. In order to achieve a certain image, the manoeuvres need to be carried out repeatedly. In this way, Wenzel does her own little experimental performance in front of the camera, which captures it for us in ‘frozen’ form as a photograph.
Artist statement:
I stretched forward. Felt sensations of heaviness. Was overwhelmed by choice. Got lost. Stumbled. Failed. Started again. I’m a space in the landscape. A geological formation. A botanical shape. An island of isolation.  A thinking body. Look at me in slow motion. Look at me frozen in time.

Trends in Music Education
As with so much of our current engagement with the world, trends in the field of music education flow from the innovations of 21st century technology. Two of the most prominent trends emerging with changing ideas of musical pedagogy are:
A) The emergence of virtual collaborative communities, where musicians and artists from diverse backgrounds can meet to exchange ideas, collaborate on projects and advocate for artistic expression. These online gathering places provide an environment with a sense of belonging and encourage collective growth within the musical and wider artistic communities. Virtual platforms have also allowed for the integration of technology with traditional music teaching methods making music education more accessible than ever before. Students can seek out instructors from every corner of the globe with technology that also enhances learning with virtual practice sessions, interactive learning experiences music composition tools, and real-time feedback.
B) The development of inclusive and diverse music curriculum to integrate music from various cultures and wider genres. The article Mapping trends and framing issues in higher music education: Changing minds/changing practices (London Review of Education Volume 15, Number 3, November 2017) describes a project called ‘Taking Race Live’, which was aimed at “tackling inclusion in the curriculum, and seeking to enhance the student experience by integrating opportunities for wider networking challenges within and beyond the classroom, and the inclusion of social and digital media”. In this initiative “students were encouraged to question their own experiences of the performances and exhibitions, and to raise questions with their peers. The creative response of the students was notable”. It would be nice to have a more quantitative measure of the so called “creative response” but none the less, it sounds like this project had a positive effect in leading to desired outcomes of inclusivity using “live experiential methods to explore personal and collective experiences to supplement classroom learning”.
These ideas and projects are a positive sign considering the rigid and teacher centred traditional approach of music education/pedagogy. In the past, inclusivity has never been a hallmark of formal institutional music training, so I feel this is one of the most important trends we are seeing in music education.

Title: Crushing the Competition: Mastering Social Media as a British Builder In an era where digital footprints have become more important than our physical impressions, navigating the labyrinth of social media can be perplexing, more so for trades like building and construction. Yet, a well-curated social media strategy can be a true game-changer, bolstering your British building firm's reputation, reach, and relevance. The conventional imagery of the British builder need not be relegated to a magic slate of construction plans. Today, your firm can etch its prestigious name on the limitless digital slate that social media provides. Here are some strategies to help you master this beast and edge out the competition. **Unleash the Power of Content** Embrace the habit of sharing interesting, engaging, and informative content. Show followers the breadth of your knowledge about construction, keeping them updated with the latest industry insights, design trends, and cutting-edge project ideas. Remember, quality over quantity - it's better to leave your audience wanting more. **Project Showcase** Use your social media platforms to exhibit your portfolio of projects. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words. The stunning imagery of a conservatory built in Suffolk or a refurbishment in West Sussex can provide authentic endorsements of your workmanship and capabilities. **Use Local Language** Speak the lingo. As uniquely British builders, use local language and references to strike a chord with your audience. Familiar cultural symbols and colloquial phrases can make your posts highly relatable and memorable. Your brand needs to sound as British as it truly is. **Encourage Customer Testimonials and Reviews** Leverage the power of customer testimonials and recommendations. A customer's praise streamed live from Staffordshire or a happy client's salute from Somerset can lead to a significant boost in your reputation. **Deploy Video Marketing** Video marketing is not merely the future of social media; it's the present. A systematic and creative use of video can work wonders. Walk your audience through a half-finished loft in London or an under-construction farmhouse in Cotswold. Show them how bustling construction sites transform into stunning living spaces. **Engage, Don't Just Project** Social media is not a one-way street. Engage with your followers. Respond to comments, answer queries, and show appreciation for shares and likes. This interaction fosters a sense of community and loyalty, enhancing your brand's image. **Monitor and Adapt** The dynamic nature of social media necessitates regular monitoring and adaptation of your strategy. Make use of analytical tools to get insights about engagement, reach, and audience demographics. Use this information to adapt and tailor your content. Mastering social media as a British Builder isn't about wrecking balls and rivets; it's about crafting a digital narrative that screams authenticity, authority, and allure. It’s about creating a conversation, fostering relationships, and most importantly, constructing an online presence as solid as the brick and mortar edifices that you build. Let digital narratives lay the foundation for your social network, brick by virtual brick. So dust off that hard hat, roll up those sleeves and nail your online presence as resolutely as you would a roofing joist. In the digital landscape, your missions aren’t measured in metres and tons, they’re measured in tweets, shares, likes, and follows. The blueprint to Crushing the Competition in the social media sphere is now in your hands, British Builders. The question is – are you ready to build? Sure, let's imagine London-based building firm, 'Winston Brothers Construction’, renowned for premium quality, eco-friendly constructions but struggling to attract new customers despite their stellar reputation. **Unleash the Power of Content** Winston Brothers started by transforming their social media narrative from a passive display of projects into a living library of useful content.
They shared posts detailing upcoming trends in green building technology or design inspiration, focusing on three platforms: Facebook for long-form articles, Instagram for photos and short videos, and LinkedIn for industry insights and networking. The content was crisp, educational and engaging. As a result, they saw engagement rocket and website traffic double within three months. **Project Showcase** By adopting Instagram stories as an open book of their ongoing projects, they created visually rich narratives of transformation. One notable story - the conversion of a Victorian terraced house into a modern eco-friendly home - generated more than 3000 views and increased their follower count by 20%. **Use Local Language** Winston Brothers stopped using corporatese and started adopting the local vernacular. Local slang and colloquialisms made their posts more relatable, fun and engaging. Terms like 'chuffed' and local references created a unique brand voice, earning a 10% rise in followers within one month. **Encourage Customer Testimonials and Reviews** With each project completion, they requested clients to record a testimonial and shared it on their platforms with a heartfelt thank you message. These testimonials, like the one from pleased homeowners in Fulham, received thousands of likes, shares and positive comments, enhancing their credibility. **Deploy Video Marketing** YouTube became a digital showroom, exhibiting 3D living walkthroughs of properties and timelapse videos of construction progress. A timelapse video of a loft conversion in Ealing gained over 10,000 views in a week, resulting in five new contract inquiries. **Engage, Don't Just Project** They made it a point to reply to comments, share follower's posts, and acknowledge shares. This cultivated a sense of community and boosted their brand image. An interactive Q&A session on Facebook rememberably resulted in much wider engagement and client leads. **Monitor and Adapt** The firm used Google Analytics to understand the audience demographics and behaviours. This enabled them to tailor their posts to match audience preferences, maximising engagement and ultimately, lead generation. By thoughtfully deploying such strategies, Winston Brothers Construction not only elevated their social media presence but saw a fantastic growth in their business, thereby crushing the competition. Their case is a clear example that British builders can indeed thrive in the social media arena, one post at a time. **Take the Next Step with Us** Are you ready to take your British building firm to new heights? Time to swap the trowel for tweets, the hammer for hashtags, and use the digital world to elevate your real-world craftsmanship. If you're prepared to start this journey, we are here to guide you. With a proven track record in transforming traditional trades into social media powerhouses, we will show you the right techniques to nail your online presence. Don't just build properties; construct conversations, foster connections, develop digital dominance! The Future of Designer Menswear
Fashion's masculine wardrobe is experiencing a revival. From tailoring's return to gender-neutral styles being accepted more readily, menswear is experiencing an unprecedented period of evolution.
With sales of menswear increasing exponentially, luxury retailers are expanding their product lines and revamping how they sell menswear clothing - but what will this mean for designer menswear in general?
Kenneth Cole
Kenneth Cole, one of the premier fashion designers who established his name brand in 1982, is best known for combining classic and modern styles in his designs, which have quickly become highly coveted among both classicists and modernists alike. Furthermore, his company is widely respected for their environmental policies as they utilize recycled and organic materials when producing their goods; additionally they provide shoes and accessories inspired by New York culture which encompasses various cultures and styles.
Cole is widely distributed throughout department stores, specialty boutiques, his own retail shops and online e-commerce site as well as discount outlet centers worldwide. His company maintains global operations out of New York City.
David Hart
David Hart is an American designer who participates in the CFDA Men's Fund. His tightly edited fall 2020 collection showcased his interpretation of what modern men want to wear, beginning with an ivory camel suit embroidered with wildflowers on its lapels -- nodding toward today's "yeehaw agenda," then followed by extra-roomy trousers paired with a camp shirt featuring printed bananas duct-taped to its seams; an allusion to Maurizio Cattelan's now-famous plantain (and all its subsequent virtual reinterpretations).
Hart has always had an affinity for tailored clothing, beginning with neckties in 2009. Six years ago he launched a small tie line that has since expanded into an entire ready to wear collection. His designs bridge classical tailoring techniques with contemporary fits and colors for an elevated experience - silk and wool ties, Doegal Tweed suiting and trim banlon Polo Shirts all exude an effortless style and exude an aura of crooner cool!
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton is one of the world's premier luxury brands, founded in France in 1854 as an aesthetic journey inspired by travel and discovery. Since then, this French fashion house has continued its expansion by designing products with ergonomic features to accommodate new modes of transport; continuing the values set forth by its founder through savoir-faire and creativity.
Louis Vuitton has an illustrious history of collaborations with prominent artists and designers. Perhaps their most acclaimed collaboration was with American streetwear brand Supreme, designed by Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse in 2001. Furthermore, Murakami created his signature graffiti style collection of Louis Vuitton bags featuring his unique blend of cute art over classic monogram canvas in 2008.
In 2010, Louis Vuitton opened its most luxurious store in London: Louis Vuitton Island Maison is a three-story building featuring an open air courtyard and private terraces as well as museum and exhibition space, restaurant, bar, as well as museum exhibition space. Additionally, in 2022 the brand will launch its inaugural LVMH-owned shop in China.
MR PORTER FUTURES
Fashion industry competition is getting ever tougher for young aspiring designers to break in, which makes it hard for aspiring young designers to break in. Therefore, luxury online menswear destination Mr Porter and Klarna are teaming up to launch a global designer mentorship programme called MR PORTER FUTURES that will assist three young designers build their brands while designing and producing at least 15 pieces to launch on Mr Porter's platform. In addition, each chosen designer will also receive an intensive high-level business incubation program along with coaching sessions from leading industry mentors; plus they will share 50% of any Net Profits* generated through sales on Mr Porter over 12 months - an invaluable opportunity!
Applications from all around the world may submit applications until June 6, 2019, to be considered for mentoring by our Mentor Selection Committee. After review of applications are aggregated in June, three designers or duos who scored highest will be invited for interviews with us, then chosen three will have a two season window in which their responsible collection can be available on our platform.

This makes it easier for people to attend, even if they have busy schedules or are located in different time zones.

Alibaba Marks Fifth Anniversary Of Tmall Luxury Pavilion With Metaverse Upgrades
The present moment continues to be a big one for high-end and fashion brands’ involvement in Web3. As reported by InternetRetailing, Chinese mega-marketplace Alibaba has acknowledged the fifth anniversary of the launch of its Tmall Luxury Pavilion platform by introducing a variety of metaverse-based improvements.
What are Alibaba and Tmall Luxury Pavilion?
Alibaba is an online platform that connects China’s manufacturers and wholesalers to individuals and businesses around the world that are seeking to trade or resell. Users purchase products via the platform for their business with a view to using or reselling them, or they register to be a supplier with the right to use Alibaba as a selling platform.
Tmall Luxury Platform, meanwhile, is a luxury platform that Alibaba launched in 2017, as a means of connecting desirable brands from across the globe to shoppers in China. The service has proved to be a roaring success, with increasing numbers of Chinese customers using it to buy high-end items, and more than 200 luxury brands now signed up to be present on the site.
What are these latest enhancements, and what is their significance?
Alibaba Group revealed via its Alizila news site that it was “multiplying the ways that luxury brands can connect with China’s affluent shoppers in the metaverse with a series of digital upgrades and events” during September.
The company said that such developments included Tmall Luxury Pavilion hosting an augmented reality (AR) fashion show and introducing a Meta Pass, the latter a means of conferring priority digital access to the products of brands ranging from Burberry to Bogner.
This month also saw luxury executives in Shanghai attend an awards ceremony and explore an exhibition on extended reality (XR), in a preview of the future of retail.
This latest news doesn’t mark the first time Tmall Luxury Pavilion has engaged with the metaverse. Indeed, as Alizila noted, recent years have seen it already deploy 3D shopping, AR, and virtual reality (VR) try-ons for products, digital avatars, and digital collectibles.
Nonetheless, the development marks another stage in the evolution of Tmall Luxury Pavilion, which saw a 153% increase in its customer numbers between 2019 and 2021, and which – since the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival last November – has seen 21 luxury brands release 37 digital collections on its platform. Indeed, some 3,500 consumers have also claimed digital collections.
In the words of Janet Wang, head of Tmall Luxury Pavilion: “Today, Tmall Luxury Pavilion has grown into the largest online destination in China to host over 200 luxury brands from the five major luxury groups. This is the destination for Chinese consumers to interact with brands, to browse, to experience the brands.
“We’re introducing a whole new metaverse experience, including MetaPass, AR fashion shows and extended reality experience so that the consumers can enter an immersive virtual world of luxury. We do believe metaverse is going to be a game changer.”
How could we help your own high-end brand realise its ambitions in the years to come?
With our global, growth-oriented focus as a luxury digital marketing agency, we stand ready here at Skywire London to inspire, guide, and support your brand to sustained success in the fashion, lifestyle, or luxury sector. For a more in-depth conversation on precisely how we may work with you to achieve this, please don’t hesitate to enquire to our highly capable and seasoned team.

Art Fairs and Auctions

They offer a unique opportunity to view a wide range of artworks in one place, from modern and contemporary art to classic and historical pieces.

Open studio events and local art markets provide a platform for artists to sell their work directly to buyers, fostering a more personal connection between the creator and the collector.
Street art also plays a significant role in London’s art market. Areas like Brick Lane and Camden are famous for their dynamic street art scenes, where works by artists like Banksy Exhibition can be seen.

Online marketplaces like Artsy, Saatchi Art, and even Instagram have made it easier for artists to reach a global audience. These platforms offer diverse artworks, from London paintings and sculptures to digital art and photograph artwork, catering to various tastes and budgets.

Digital Citizenship
The concept of digital citizenship pertains to the conscientious and ethical utilization of technology and virtual platforms. The concept encompasses the comprehension of effectively maneuvering through the digital realm, safeguarding one's privacy and security, and participating in online endeavors with ethical and responsible conduct (Bearden 2016, pp. 1-2). The concept of digital citizenship is closely associated with that of traditional citizenship, as it entails engaging in virtual communities and fulfilling corresponding obligations and entitlements in the digital realm (Vromen 2017, p. 2).
Diverse perspectives exist regarding the concept of digital citizenship. There are individuals who perceive it predominantly as ensuring safety in the digital realm, with a focus on safeguarding online privacy and enhancing security measures (Bearden 2016, pp. 32-33). Some individuals perceive it as an educational matter, emphasizing the instruction of responsible technology usage to people (Bearden 2016, p. 29). The concept of digital citizenship can also be delineated by the platforms themselves, as social media platforms establish their own regulations and anticipations for their users (Bearden 2016, p. 30).
Platform studies refers to the examination of digital platforms as intricate socio-technical systems. This entails an analysis of the technological, social, and economic dimensions of platforms and their influence on user behavior (Nelimarkka 2020, pp.2-4). Platformization pertains to the phenomenon wherein an increasing number of activities, encompassing social interactions, commerce, and politics, are being carried out via digital platforms (Nelimarkka 2020, pp.3-4).
Hashtag publics refer to virtual communities that coalesce around particular hashtags on various social media platforms. Communities may be established based on a specific concern or objective, and can serve as a means of promoting activism and civic participation (Wang, Liu & Gao 2016, pp. 852-855). The #MeToo movement originated as a social media hashtag and subsequently evolved into a worldwide movement aimed at combating sexual harassment and assault, as noted by Burke (2023).
The concepts of digital citizenship and political engagement exhibit a strong correlation. Vroman (2017, pp. 3-7) posits that social media platforms afford individuals the opportunity to participate in public discourse and articulate their viewpoints on political matters. The concept of digital citizenship encompasses the knowledge and skills required to participate in online political discussions with a sense of accountability and morality. The concept also encompasses the acknowledgement of the capacity of digital platforms to facilitate political involvement and leveraging them to advance social and political transformation. The Black Lives Matter movement employed social media platforms as a means of coordinating demonstrations and increasing public consciousness regarding police brutality and systemic racism (Campbell 2021).

‘The creation process of digital art itself frequently relies on complex collaborations between an artist and a team of programmers, engineers, scientists, and designers. (Several digital artists are also engineers by training.) Digital art has brought about work that collapses boundaries between disciplines — art, science, technology, and design — and that originates in various fields, including research-and-develop- ment labs and academia. From its history to its production and manifestation, digital art tends to defy easy categorization.’ (Paul, 2015)
Digital media has revolutionized the way art is created and consumed. Art can now be created using digital tools such as graphic design software like adobe photoshop, animation software, and virtual reality technology. The different contexts of art in digital media include historical, cultural, social, and personal. Also, are the threats of AI, which steal artworks from different artists and use their styles as a form of photo editing.
The historical context of art in digital media often refers to the evolution of digital technology and its impact on art. Digital media allows artists to create new forms of art that were not possible before, such as digital paintings and 3D animations. The digital era of art has brought about new ways of distributing and exhibiting art, such as online galleries and virtual exhibitions. Online art also include NFT’s (Non-fungible tokens) which is a type of crypto art. It’s a way of making digital files ‘one of a kind’.
Digital media has allowed artists to create artwork that reflects the multicultural and global aspect of society. The internet has also created a platform for artists to share their work with a wider audience, regardless of their location.
Art in general can be used to address and comment on social issues, such as poverty, war, and inequality. For example, the Guernica painting by Pablo Picasso was created in response to the bombing of the Spanish town of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War, and is a powerful symbol of the horrors of war.
It has also been used to address issues such as political activism, gender equality, and environmentalism.
The personal context of art in digital media relates to the personal experiences and emotions of an artist. Digital media has allowed artists to express themselves in new and innovative ways, such as through interactive installations in a Tate Gallery, and virtual reality experiences.
Reflecting on the different contexts of art in digital media has helped me to appreciate how digital technology has impacted the art world. Digital media has allowed artists to create new forms of art and has made it easier for them to share their work with a wider audience.
Digital Art has brought about new opportunities and challenges for artists. By understanding the different contexts of art in digital media, we can gain a deeper appreciation for how digital technology has impacted the art world.
The impact of Artificial intelligence stealing original art work has been presented as a new challenge in recent years. With the increasingly developed softwares being produced, AI’s are able to mimic artist styles and create compelling portraits which are oddly human-like.
‘The expansion of digital technologies and their impact on our lives and cultures will induce the creation of even more artworks that reflect and critically engage with this cultural phenomenon’(Paul, 2015)
In conclusion, the different contexts of art in digital media provide insight into how technology has impacted the art world. By reflecting on the historical, cultural, social, and personal contexts of art in digital media, we can gain a deeper understanding of how digital technology has impacted the way art is created and consumed.

Virtual Tours in London that you have to try
Tumblr media
If visiting London is something that you’ve always wanted to do, but the cost of travel and lack of time is holding you back, then we might just have the ideal solution for you.
A new way of exploring London’s top bucket list attractions and destinations, without the expense of finding a hotel near Hyde Park or navigating the complex booking systems which stand between you and tickets for all the best attractions and things to see, in this blog we’re shining a spotlight on virtual London – as seen through your screen.
A concept which rose in demand exponentially during the pandemic and various lockdowns, virtual tours of London have now become the norm for those who cannot afford or don’t have the time to visit the city itself. Here are some of the best available.
360 Visit London
Jump straight into all of your favourite bucket list destinations and London sites with the help of Visit London, which has created this accessible online platform with incredible viewpoints of all the major stopping points on any good London tour. When you click on an attraction from the onsite map, you are taken straight in and up close to that site or building, with the tool letting you zoom in and out, and circle the building from all angles.
The “home” button is the London Eye, giving you a birds eye view of all the sites that you can access, from Buckingham Palace to the most iconic Hyde Park London restaurants. And as all the visuals have been captured on a sunny blue sky day, this really is escapism at its best for a grey and dreary day at home.
The British Museum With Google
This virtual tour embodies all the education and entertainment from The British Museum and compiles it into an online experience which is both virtual tour and educational resource. Aligning all of the exhibitions and nuggets of information in chronological order, the online tour lets you click on the different circles which span thousands of years and cover all the world’s continents, learning more about the items and exhibits which relate to that time period and location in the museum itself.
The British Museum is one of the most popular attractions within walking distance of many of London’s top family hotels with special offers, with this virtual attraction making it even more accessible to everyone.
Buckingham Palace Virtual Tour
Where better to end our online tour of London than Buckingham Palace – with this incredibly popular virtual experience which lets you explore different rooms and spaces within the palace, clicking on individual paintings and furnishings to learn more about their origin, meaning, and the role they play in palace life.
A virtual tour of London may mean missing out on a stay at the Signature Town House Hyde Park, but with the rise in travel and living costs at an all time high, it’s understandable why these virtual tours and so many others are gaining such popularity.
