i was only on vivo for a few months so unfortunately i don't have much to show for it, just animated a few shots here and there before i moved on to HT4 (which was my first time being a lead so i had to leave vivo early to get a head start on that)

i'm happy to hear you liked vivo though! a new tool was developed for the 2D animation look so that it could all be done in maya in 3D to make it look hand drawn. i didn't get to work on any of those shots but the folks that did put a ton of hard work into them and they look amazing. it's a shame it kind of flew under the radar because the amount of love and care that went into creating vivo was huge, it's a beautiful movie

VIVO would be more well known if it was released in the movie theaters. I just know it would've done good at the box office, and the press tour would've been better and entertaining. But.. nooooooo, it had to go to Netflix😒, and that's more than likely all because of the pandemic. 😠 Anyways, that's just my opinion. Guess I gotta go watch the movie now?? I'm not doubting my man's Lin's singing is amazing and that he's improved since his Hamilton days, I just have a shite attention span. 😀

i totally agree with you! i've made this poll a while ago and to absolutely no one's surprise, most people haven't even heard of vivo. and in my humble opinion it's better than encanto.

and i also guess you have no choice but to watch it now, because i will be super annoying about it! (yes, i can be even more annoying, it's my superpower) 🤣 have you listened to the soundtrack yet? i can't wait to hear your thoughts!

and i totally feel you, i usually just keep watching the same things over & over again because it's hard for me to focus on anything new, but i can guarantee lin's voice really helps in this case! 🤭
