Alright, so the names are Jungkook and Taehyung, right?" Yeonjun asked, and you nodded. "And what's the name of the group Jimin's part of?"

"BTS. I think…" you said, and he hummed in response before he began to type in their names.

"Jungkook, BTS…" He muttered before he pressed search.

You anxiously bit your lip as the search results slowly began to show. You didn't know what to expect.

"Okay, so apparently, he's turning twenty-six this year! It says he's about 1,79m tall, and his full name is Jeon Jungkook," Yeonjun read. "And oh my gosh, are those real?"

You shifted closer to Yeonjun and rested your chin on his shoulder so you could look at his phone.

"He's so handsome, oh my gosh. The tattoos, the piercings, oh my," Yeonjun gasped as he scrolled through the many pictures that appeared once he clicked on images.

In some pictures, he looked like a bad boy straight out of a teen romance movie, mask up, dressed in all black and chunky shoes. Not to mention his sleeve of tattoos and multiple piercings. And in others, where he wore a simple hoodie and sweatpants with a backpack on his back, he looked like a typical student.

The man had pretty doe eyes, and in the photos where he wasn't wearing a mask and could see his smile, his smile that reminded you of a bunny.

When he's dressed in brighter colours and his sleeve of tattoos is covered, Jungkook's entire appearance screams adorable. Until you see other pictures of him. You'll realise that despite his round face, he had a sharp jawline, and suddenly he isn't so adorable.

"Your soulmates were blessed with looks. If Taehyung is this handsome… girl, the universe favours you," Yeonjun commented before tapping the search bar to type in the other name on your shoulder.

The two of you were in the student lounge, using google to find out about your other soulmates while waiting for Yuna's photography lecture to end.

"Now, let's see if Taehyung is part of BTS or just Jimin's friend group," Yeonjun said. "Taehyung. BTS… and search!"

Again, you were nervous because you didn't know what to expect.

"Okay, so his name is V… but it says it's just his stage name!" he told you. "His real name is Kim Taehyung, around the same height as Jungkook, and he's turning twenty-eight," he read before clicking on images to see what he looked like.

"Holy shit… is this man even real," he gasped as he scrolled through the images.

Your eyes widened when you looked at one of the pictures.

The man's visual screamed royalty. His piercing eyes, sharp jaw and angular features reminded you of a cold prince. In some of the pictures you saw, he had a stern and mysterious look, and if you hadn't seen a picture of him smiling, you definitely would have thought he was a cold person.

In the pictures where he was smiling, Taehyung's rectangular smile was bright. And like Jimin, his eyes seemed to disappear when he smiled.

"Holy shit, he's just as beautiful as the other two-" Yeonjun muttered as he stared at one of the pictures. "The universe favours you. Like, how are all three of these handsome guys yours?"

"Actually, we don't know that yet. My soulmates Jungkook and Taehyung could be different from this Jungkook and Taehyung." Your friend rolled his eyes at your words.

"Oh, come on, y/n. I can google Taehyung without putting BTS, and the same guy will show up."

"He might not be famous," you mumbled. It was hard for you to believe that all three of these men could… well, be your soulmates.

"What are you two talking about?" You and Yeonjun glanced over your shoulders around to see Yuna.

"Hey, Yuna. We're talking about y/n's other soulmates and looking at pictures of them," Yeonjun told her before looking back at his phone.

"Really? So did you find out if Taehyung's part of BTS?" she asked as she made her way to the seat next to yours.

"Yeah, he is. Also, because of what you said earlier, y/n doesn't want to believe that these two handsome guys are her soulmates," Yeonjun told her.

"Why don't you ask Jimin? I'm sure he'll give you the answer you're looking for," Yuna suggested, and he hummed in agreement.

"Why don't you do that? It's not like he can say no. Those guys are your soulmates, too," Yeonjun said.

Unbeknownst to you, your soulmates were having a conversation similar to yours.

"Do you think y/n's curious about us? Like what we look like and stuff?" Jungkook asked as he closed the now-empty water bottle

"I don't know, but I think she is. She's probably googled, you guys. Just like she did with me," Jimin chuckled.

"I wish y/n was an idol or something, so we could just google her too. I want to know what she looks like." Taehyung softly whined as he rested his head on Jimin's shoulder.

"We should add y/n to the group chat," Jungkook said. "I don't think I'' be able to wait until we meet in person to talk to her."

"So you want to text her first?" Jimin asked, and Jungkook nodded. "You don't want to call her anything like that? A video call, so can she see your faces?"

"I feel like a call would be awkward," Taehyung muttered. "Unlike you, we've never talked to the woman."

"Yeah…" Jungkook sighed. "I feel like we should connect with each other over text first. I don't want her to see me like this."

The three soulmates had just finished practising choreography and were taking a break.

"I think you look hot, though," Jimin joked. "I'm sure y/n wouldn't mind seeing you like this."

"But I do mind," Jungkook whined. "It's the first time she'll be seeing me. I can't let her see me like this…"

"I agree with Jungook. It's too early for y/n to see us like this," Taehyung chuckled before opening a bottle of water and taking a sip.

"Okay. I'll add y/n to the group chat," Jimin told them before opening his phone to add you to their exclusive soulmate group chat.

You looked at your phone with wide eyes before excitedly trying to show one of your friends your screen.

"What? For me to see your screen, you'll have to stop shaking it in my face," Yuna sighed before taking your phone from your hand.

"What is it?" Yeonjun asked, trying to look at what you wanted to show them.

"Looks like y/n's going to interact with her other soulmates."

"Really? What did Jimin say?" He asked with his eyes slightly opened wide. "He added her to a group chat called Corei3 and sent a text saying that they, which I'm guessing are her other soulmates, to somewhat introduce themselves. And now an unknown number is typing." Yuna explained.

"What are you doing? Give y/n her phone back so she can talk to them!"

"Didn't you hear, Yoongi? Jimin found their last soulmate while he was out one night," another told him. "So, I guess they're talking to her right now. I mean… we've only ever seen them smile like that with each other."

"I hope I don't look or act the same when I find my soulmate," Yoongi muttered, shaking his head.

"I honestly feel like you're going to be ten times worse than they are," The leader said with a chuckle.

"Nah, nothing can beat whatever the fuck that is. We're witnessing a lovesick soulmate but times three."

"How are her cheeks not sore? She's been staring at her phone with that stupid smile for the past fifteen minutes," Yuna said, causing Yeonjun sighed.

"You wouldn't understand what she's feeling right now, Yuns. You haven't found your soulmate yet."

jimin: i managed to go to a club yesterday without getting caught. being able to go to a restaurant will be easy.

taehyung: don’t forget you’re not going in and out alone. you’re going in and out with three people. two men and a woman. 🧍‍♂️

"What're you guys talking about?" Yeonjun asked as he tried to peek over your shoulder.

"Jungkook wants us to go out," you told them. "But it's going to be tricky since they're famous, and them being seen with me could cause problems."

"So, are you just going to have an indoor meeting?" Yuna asked, and you shrugged.

"Jimin says they're gonna make a plan, but I don't know…"

"This is why I lowkey wish my soulmate isn't famous. Or at least, isn't a kpop idol because I know how ruthless the fans can be," Yuna sighed, shaking her head, which caused you to frown.

"Are their fans that scary?" You asked, and she nodded.

"Very. Well… the delusional ones who think the idol shouldn't be allowed to date anyone else but them," Yuna explained.

"People actually think that? In a world where your partner is determined by the soulmate system?" Yeonjun asked, sounding as equally shocked as you are. She hummed in response.

"Yep, they can get dragged and cancelled for falling in love if the fans are insane enough. But don't worry, not all the fans like that. Many fans know their place, and some even route for their idols to find love," she said.

Yuna managed to answer your silent question about whether all of their fans were like that.

"I don't know much about your soulmates' fandom, but I'm sure majority of them are chill. I mean, I've only bumped into one or two crazy ones. The rest were cool. But then again, I haven't met a lot of BTS stans."

"So those guys are right for wanting to take any precautions. Wait, but does anyone know that they're soulmates?" Yeonjun asked, and Yuna shook her head.

"Not that I'm aware. I don't remember seeing any articles or posts about the members' soulmates when I looked into the group. Meaning y/n, the members, and probably some staff know about the three being in a cluster."

"And us. We know that too. Wait, OMG, I just realised I have to keep such a huge secret! Oh… but that means y/n can't let other people know who her soulmates are," Yeonjun said, causing you to sigh.

"To be honest… I don't think I mind," you told them. "Sure, it would be nice to go out publicly and post about them like I've always wanted to, but I don't mind."

You were just happy to have found them.

"I'd rather be with them in secret than not be with them at all," you smiled.

You looked at the time and sighed. "I need to catch the bus. I have to go home since I have an assignment to finish."

"Right," Yuna said, getting up. "I need to meet some people in my cinematography class for a group project."

"So we're all just going home?" Yeonjun asked, and the two of you nodded. "Alright."

"See you two tomorrow!"

"I feel bad y/n has to keep us a secret," Taehyung muttered while Jimin groaned, running his fingers through his hair. "Even though we have to hide our relationship, at least I can be seen in public with both of you."

"As much as I love my job and our fans, sometimes I wish I wasn't an idol. Sometimes I wish I was a regular person who wasn't part of a popular boy group."

"Same here," Jungkook said, closing his eyes. " I wouldn't have to hide the actual kind of relationship we have. I'd peacefully go out without worrying whether dispatch might see me."

"Hey, but at least we got permission to go out with her," Taehyung said.

The three members came from a meeting with some of the managers and told them about you, their last soulmate.

"I know. Even though avoiding the public eye will be difficult, I can't wait to go out as a complete cluster of soulmates," Jungkook said, happily clapping his hands.

"What do you think you wanna do, though? Should we have a typical first-date dinner? Go to an amusement park and have the kind of date you see in romance movies?" Jimin asked.

"Let's ask y/n. I mean, the girl is the reason we're going out, right?" Taehyung said.

"Jeez, sorry," your friend scoffed. "Anyway, is it a formal or casual date? And- wait, since your relationship has to remain a secret, will your soulmates book out a whole restaurant or something? I heard that's a thing famous people do."

"One question at a time, Yeonie. Give the poor girl a chance to speak," Yuna said.

Yeonjun muttered a soft apology as you chuckled.

"I'd say casual since we're going to an arcade," you said.

"Arcade? Are they actually going to book out an arcade?" Yeonjun asked with wide eyes.

"At first… they were, but Taehyung and Jungkook wanted to go out and be around people. And I don't really mind," you told them. "You know… since I'm used to being in public places without having to hide."

"Ah, it's the kind of date I've seen kids in high school teen romance movies! Omg, that's super cute!" Yeonjun squealed.

"If I lived the kind of life they did, I would want to be around some people other than my members and staff too. Anyway, so tomorrow is the day, right?"

You hummed in response.

"Great, so we have enough time to find an outfit for you then," Yuna said.

"I hope you don't think you're going to be the one to pick out an outfit for her," Yeonjun said, causing your friend to scoff. "And why not?"

"With the way you dress, there's no way I'm going to let you pick out something for y/n."

"Really? What makes you think y/n would be better off with someone who dresses like you as her stylist?" Yuna asked.

"Someone like me? What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'm not going to deny that you dress in many different styles, but you dress in your dark street style the most, Yeonjun. Dark colours, oversized clothes and fucking stompers. y/n is going on a date for the first time. She's trying to end up in one of those fashion in japan tiktoks."

"You're one to talk," Yeonjun scoffed. "You dress the complete opposite of the way to act. You act so cold, mean and boring, but then dress like a unicorn decided to empty its stomach on you. Make that make sense."

You couldn't help but chuckle as they continued to quarrel.

"Guys… you know I'm capable of picking an outfit for myself, right?" You asked, and both of them scoffed.

"Yeah, there's no way we're letting you do that. You have the worst fashion sense," Yuna said, and Yeonjun hummed in agreement.

"I agree. We can't have you go out looking like the basic bitch you like every day."

totally agree with ur last ask, seen lots barely even mentioning the travel show or jikook at all but only tweet about “I hope it’s more vminkook” and even seen lots saying they think yoongi will be in it too:/ jikook erasure all over lmao people can only handle them when they’re not together it’s so weird

if they want vminkook traveling together or for yoongi to show up, just go watch the hours and hours of bon voyage and in the soop. like please. at that point we have half the group.

i've also seen some discussion around how jikook are harder for people to digest because they do seem so real but simultaneously ambiguous. everyone loves vmin, they're soulmates. yoonjin, jihope are roommate duos! namgi are musical contemporaries. jinkook are very brotherly. these "tropes" cemented in bts lore.

but jikook don't have a title like that. or an obvious indicator to boil down their dynamic. (obviously every duo is nuanced, but jikook often show a variety of sides to their relationship that isn't always obvious in others.)

plus, with how much of their recorded history could be framed as romantic, that scares people too (some due to the prospect of a possible relationship and internal conflict over real person shipping, homophobia, or preference for other member dynamics).

i don't even really know what i would call jikook, i wonder if they have any names like this that i just haven't seen. (i personally like soulmates more for them then vmin, don't kill me please. i just really feel like jikook are each other's person and they have such good chemistry on stage, as a comedic duo, as vocalists, as friends and support system. no matter romantic or platonic, that's soulmate material).

so food for thought as the show starts airing! i just can't help but feel so spoiled we get this show and grateful they decided to share these experiences with us :').

I really really HATE that "vminkook are cuddling", "xyz will burn you to keep abc alive", "vmin are soulmates" shit like MOVE THE FK ON no one's burning shit Sherlock and vmin are not soulmate because you want them to be shut the fk up. We all saw the soulmatery of Mr taehyung last year and we gladly resign him from that responsibility. He don't need to put an act of giving shit about jm. I'm NEVER forgiving him for being a d towards jm's project and even after all jm still went to his music show when no one was there cause he doesn't put an act he actually supports the ppl he call his friends

Recalling all those threads on twitter armys would make about Jimin being there for TH to bolster their “bond” and how long they got. But you literally would never see them make thread vice versa because it’s basically crickets on TH’s end. Lmao. Vminkook has always been heavily skewed towards jimin in that department.

Jungkook solo stans are honestly some of the most deranged group of people I've ever encountered. Jikookers are 100% right beside them. Like I'm convinced they HATE their favs. Even antis couldn't hate jikook the way these two groups of people do.

To jk solo Stans, autism is a hellish thing. To even consider the possibility of jungkook being neurodivergent makes them sick to their stomach, they'd call you crazy and not "do him like that omg". They simply refuse to see his sweet side, they don't care how 99% of the time he's just a demure, sweet, caring, loving man who is not capable of hurting anyone, let alone his lover or his group members. They so desperately want him to be this brooding alpha male who has anger issues and is rude and hateful and cares nothing for anyone but himself and is possessive and misogynistic and homophobic and simply hates anyone who doesn't "obey" him. It makes me so sad actually. It makes me so fucking MAD. He would hate the kind of man they want him to be and they are blind to his real self.

Jikookers as well. They WANT their favs to be hated. They insist jikook are just a hateful couple who despise their group mates, who cannot stand anyone else but themselves. This unhealthy, toxic, disgusting couple with zero manner and zero culture and a disregard to people in general. Someone needs to ask them, is jikook supposedly "hate" their members (especially tae who they've cried for on multiple occasions) what would they think of them?

Their insistence on tae being an unwanted participant, they both LOVE that man to bits. I've not seen a single taekooker say anything mean about jimin. I myself would never think that. The kind of relationship that vmin have is so, so pure to me, at times even purer than taekook (I am a taekooker; vmin are definitely platonic soulmates tho). I could never even think of disrespecting jimin because I know he doesn't deserve it. If this was a taekook show and jimin was a guest I would genuinely be even more excited because I love how taekook are with jimin. They disrespect jikook when they villanise taehyung, they see them as nothing at all. They don't care how genuinely happy BOTH jimin and jungkook were when taehyung came on the show. It actually was better in more ways than one. Jimin could feel better by himself, he could take some time for himself while the focus could shift from him a little bit. He was sick, he does not need to worry about the show on top of that. Jikookers crying about taehyung stealing jikook time, he was doing y'all a favour. He was doing the whole show a favour. You had content BECAUSE he was there. You don't need jimin to recover fully? If he's lying down trying to feel okay you want to blame taehyung for it like it's a bad thing?

All in all, me being a taekooker who hates the jikook fandom (not the pairing, not unless it's forced romantics bc honestly I see nothing even remotely romantic in any of their interactions. They're so deeply friends-coded I don't understand what anyone could ever find worth shipping romantically) I was actually excited for the show because I wanted to see how this duo would turn out to be precisely because I could never really see them matching each other's energy. Tae's addition was a lovely surprise and it just proved to me that jikook actually really do not match each other's energy at all. Not that that's a had thing, it isn't. Friends are so different from each other yet their friendship makes sense. And jikook's friendship makes sense too but their dynamic is not what the show tried to make it out to be. From my observations, it's actually the opposite of that. It's not jungkook that is used to take care of jimin, it's the other way around because jimin's love-language IS care-giving. So it didn't work when jimin was the one in need of care because jungkook being the youngest is used to being babied. Especially from jimin, so he had no idea how to go about it and ended up only doing what he was asked to do.

Taekook in that manner are a lot different because with them there's no set roles. They both care for each other and both like being taken care of. Ofc jungkook likes it more because again, he's the youngest, he's used to it. And it works because taehyung likes having him need him.

I agree with a lot of your points. It’s so annoying when solos misinterpret and mischaracterize the members they claim to support. The ND discourse was messy, and those portraying it as a negative thing were definitely gross and ableist. However, there’s a difference between recognizing patterns of behavior and relating to it vs assuming it’s a fact that JK is neurodivergent — there was valid discourse around that imo.

As for jkkrs, they often have a skewed perception of both JK and JM to begin with. So any “point” they try to make is usually so detached from reality. And I’ve said before that they react with animosity toward Tae because they can’t explain how he fits into the narrative they’ve created between jikook.

I do have to say that I disagree about the show trying to portray jikook’s dynamic differently though. Tbh, it’s exactly what I expected — they’re friends, and their interactions reflect that. And I also disagree that JK likes being babied more 😅 A lot of the time, I think JK is very pretty resistant to being babied. Which actually plays a significant role in how I’ve interpreted jikook’s dynamic tbh. Like you said, it’s in JM’s nature to be a caretaker, and JK is less than enthusiastic about being babied, specifically by JM, which creates that sort of banter and push-and-pull that we see between them at times. JK is absolutely capable of caring for others when he wants to (and I think that side is often seen with Tae) So while I agree that TK don’t have any set “roles” between them, I also think that it’s a bit minimizing to say that JK enjoys being babied because he’s the youngest and is used to it. To me, their dynamic is more fluid and balanced, with each complementing the other naturally.

More controversial take, but I don’t even think vmins relationship is all that special. It’s based on being same age friends and Jimins babying of Tae but there is no real substance there, at least not on Jimins part. Army hype up the relationship to a ridiculous degree, obsessively so, but take away the affection and what is there? It’s much more obvious they didn’t spend much time together in chapter 2, and I really want people to know that’s okay and it’s normal. People drift and come back together and the love remains, but to me it highlighted how their bond doesn’t extend much outside of work, where as it is so obvious Jikook share life together.

I know the show isn’t a hard launch of Jikooks relationship (whatever it is) but it isn’t not a hard launch. I mean the enlistment should have done that, shocked people to the core but nope, so the show is it. To me it’s them saying we’re close, deal with it, in a way in which we haven’t seen before. Like jkks know they are but Army at large ignore it, and although they still do, they are showing us them. They said that themselves so I know that’s the point. You can see it so clearly it’s impossible to ignore, highlighted even more by Tae’s presence.

Blogger stormy answered an ask earlier about FS in the show and if it’s present, it’s the ot7 mentions. And whilst I don’t think those mentions are forced, that is so true imo. The notion of the ot7 bond is what keeps BTS going, but I think chapter 2 did give them a much needed break, and time apart, again absolutely normal. These are young men, they need space to live their own lives. But the mention of others was sweet, Jimin calling Joon seeing as he was the only huyng not in MS at the time. It’s probably like calling your dad lol. Joon being the only one who turned to see Golden live counts for something in terms of namkooks relationship. Still though, it proves my thoughts and I think Goldy has said this before, that Jimin is the glue that holds them together for the most part. They all love him lots and he’s their centre I think, he tends to do the most ot7 FS (not a negative). It’s no wonder sometimes JK gets hurt in the process (not always on purpose aka the teasing), but man’s got him some alone time with Jimin and book Tae is there. Must have been frustrating. And for him saying it was better with Tae there, he literally followed what Jimin said first. But that’s the ot7, I don’t actually think they were serious, and obviously wanted to be alone, as it was meant to be for the two of them.

I just love the intimacy and domesticity they have, it’s so natural to them, like breathing, I’ve been in a relationship for 8 years and it reminds me of myself and my partner, of when you’re in your own world (we have no kids so have that freedom to be just us), they leave no room for others, and if they do it’s minimal. Although busy chapter 2 will have allowed them time to be them, no group work or content, no members breathing down their throats or trying to separate them. Just time for them, and it shows.

I don't necessarily trust that when I see people hype something up between members that it's because something is actually there. I think it's more that those people want vmin to be soulmates (forever) so they will keep insisting on that. which I can sympathise with because if after the military jikook were less close, it would hurt me a lot (not afraid to admit that lol) cause I'm invested in their (first of all) close friendship so I would be delulu about it for a while for sure. but in terms of dynamics, I think from around 2016/2017 is when the vminkook dynamic changed and it was when jikook became closer. Tae’s post from today were so surprising, as soon as I saw jk on his stories I honestly couldn’t believe what I was seeing lol. But I was just thinking that from those posts and the reactions from jikookers, especially, I just think it’s gonna be super interesting if tae was actually filming with them in or just there while they were in jeju. Bc they think these trips are a romantic getaway before enlistment. And I feel like tae ruins that thought and coupled with the posts today, I just don’t understand why they are in such denial. Well to Jkkrs a lot of things Tae does is difficult to deal with, because he shows a very consistent favoritism for Jk. No one can say Tae invests the same in the other members, not even in Jm who is his soulmate. Their only option is to say that Tae does it for attention, because if they accept Tae’s honesty it opens up a conversation of ‘how different is Taekook from Jkk’ and that’s a conversation they can’t win. Because if you also filter in Yoonmin.. you will find that actually Tae’s mentioning of Jk is much more standing out than. I think Yoonmin is probably also standing out more than Jkk. People brush over Jk’s mentions of Tae.. but they were also numerous last year.

What jkkrs use as proof are the big things.. like enlistment for instance. But Jm and Jk enlisting together is always first proof of them being close friends. There’s nothing screaming ‘romance’ about two members enlisting together. It speaks of a deep friendship though.

So let me get this straight. Jikook dated for years. JK told us with GCF Tokyo, they showed us their hickey JK got from Jimin after a night of drunk fucking, who eventually broke up. Now Tae, the one who said he likes Jimin the most. Said Jimin is his soulmate. Said Jimin is his only best friend, has had a falling out with Jimin and decided to crap on JM and date JK. Stabbing Jimin directly in his back. Being a trash friend, who only cares about himself. Yet, JK clearly still loves Jimin, since he leaves Tae to go home and cry over Jimin & tell him he misses him, to come over & watching non stop videos about Jimin? So Vminkook are messy, toxic and don't give a damn about the others feelings, but their own. And also Tae is cheating on Jennie, but Jimin is also using Suga to cope? Did I miss anything.

"I don't think the course is boring… I think it's the professor," you whispered.

"Alright, that's all for today, students. Please remember to submit your assignment by the end of next month. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me," Your Professor said, and you let out a sigh of relief, muttering a soft finally. "See you all on Wednesday."

"I think it's the fact that we have this lecture on a Monday morning that makes this course so dreadful," your friend said, getting up from his seat, and you couldn't agree more.

"It's also because it's fucking three hours long." You mumbled, packing away your notebook. "I don't know how someone can speak in a monotone voice for three hours."

"If the man had more energy when he spoke, I'd probably be awake for most of his lectures," he chuckled. "When's your next lecture?"

"Uh, it looks like I have Ethics next, at four, so I have two hours of chilling around campus," you told him.

"Aw, I have Sociology, and it's an hour," he grumbled. "Gosh, I hate Mondays." You chuckled, throwing your arm over his shoulder, bringing him into a playful headlock.

"We still have time to chill," you said, ruffling his hair. "Do you wanna go to the cafeteria? I think Yuna is done with her Cinematography lecture."

"How was Cinematography?" You asked Yuna, your other best friend, and she shrugged.

You sighed before turning to Yeonjun. "Junnie, please feed me," you sang, pointing to the plate of chips in his tray.

He playfully rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around your shoulder before bringing your body close to his. "Here you go, you big baby," he said, stuffing a few chips into your mouth.

"Gosh, I feel like I'm third-wheeling," Yuna commented, looking at the two of you with a grossed-out expression. "I sometimes even forget that Yeonjun has his soulmate."

Ever since your twenty-first, you dreaded the topic of soulmates. All excitement you could have possibly had of meeting your soulmate died the second you saw your shoulder.

And that was three years ago.

Finding your soulmates was a difficult task. The only thing that could help you find them was their names engraved on your shoulder. And because you had three soulmates, you had it three times harder. You had no idea where to start looking.

It's hard enough finding your soulmate when it's one person. And now you're supposed to look for three. It would've been easier if their names were written with their last, but no. The universe only gave you their first names.

"You know, if you put some effort into finding them, maybe you would've found one of them by now," Yeonjun suggested.

"And what effort do you think I'm supposed to put in when all I have is their names? I can't go and ask people for their names, and I definitely can't type them into a google search bar. For all I know, they could be commoners just like me."

"Maybe you should go out more. Like, meet new people? That's one way you can try to find them," Yuna suggested, and you groaned.

"And how do you think I'd meet people? You know my social skills are almost non-existent," you huffed, crossing your arms. "You two and Mingyu are the only friends I have!"

"How about this? Yeonjun and I will take you out tonight!" She said.

"Out?" You asked, raising a brow.

"Yeah! We'll take you out! Out to a place where you can easily meet new people!" Yeonjun.

"I should've known these two were taking me to a club," you grumbled as Yuna dragged you to the entrance. "Why did you have to choose a club?" You asked with a raised voice.

If you could barely hear your voice while being on the outside, you guessed it would be 5 times worse on the inside.

"Because you can easily and accidentally make physical contact with anyone here!" Yeonjun said. "Anyone could find their soulmate simply by bumping hands as you make it through the crowd."

"Now, that's enough talking. Let's go inside already!" Yuna said before taking your and Yeonjun's hands and dragging you inside.

"I hate you guys!" You shouted when you saw the number of people in the room. "You know I hate crowded places!"

You hated going to places like this. You couldn't stand being in a closed space smelling of alcohol and full of drunk people rubbing against each other. You cringed as you tried to squeeze your way through the crowd of people.

"There's Mingyu!" Yeonjun said when he saw his soulmate sitting at the bar. "Mingyu, my love!"

"Hey, guys," Mingyu greeted before embracing his boyfriend.

"How could you let them bring me here, Mingyu?" You whined, sitting on the barstool next to him.

"You should let them help you," Mingyu chuckled. "Though, I don't think a club was the greatest place to start… it's still a start!"

"Exactly. Live a little, y/n. How else do you think you'll find your soulmates when all you do is stay cooped up in your apartment. I swear you only leave your house for school and food," Yuna said.

"Anyway, we're going to leave you alone now," Yeonjun said, causing your eyes to widen.

"We brought you here to socialise and meet new people, remember?" He asked.

"Look, if we stay here and keep talking to you, there's no way you're going to try and talk to anybody else," Yuna told you, placing a hand on your shoulder. "The whole point is for you to interact with new people, y/n. With us around, you're definitely not going to do that."

You looked at Mingyu with pleading eyes, hoping he'd offer to stay with you, but he just shrugged. "These two know you better than I do. Sorry, y/n."

"Don't worry too much, y/n! I'm sure you'll make a lot of new friends!" Yeonjun winked before grabbing his soulmate's hand and dragging him to the dance floor.

You watched as your friends disappeared into the crowd of dancing people with your mouth agape.

"You have a pretty interesting bunch of friends," the bartender said, and you huffed. "Tell me about it."

You quietly sat by yourself with a glass of pina colada in your hand as you watched the crowd jump and dance as they sang the lyrics to the song blasting through the speakers.

It seemed like everyone here was having a good time except you.

You had a few people come up to you for some small talk, but it didn't take time before they ended the conversation and danced away.

"You don't seem to be having much of a good time," a voice said, startling you.

The masked male quickly backed away from you, raising his hands in defence. "Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you!" He apologised with his voice raised now that he had put some distance between you two.

"It's okay!" You said, gesturing to the stool beside you. "You can sit next to me!"

"Can I?" He asked, and you nodded. "My name's Jimin! Park Jimin!"

"Jimin?" You asked as he sat next to you.

"Yeah. Jimin."

"Nice to meet you, Jimin. I'm y/n. _ y/n."

Although you didn't expect this conversation to last, it did.

You guys talked a lot, and the topic seemed to change every few minutes. Something about Jimin made you want to know more about him.

Throughout the entire time you two spoke, Jimin kept his mask up and beanie down, allowing you to only see his eyes.

As he talked about his recent visit to the beach, you took the time to notice how his entire appearance was mysterious. He was dressed in all black. His jacket? Black. His t-shirt? Black. His baggy jeans? Black. His boots? Black. Everything except his hair was black.

His hair was a dark blue, something you wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the white lights coming from the bar.

"What do you do for a living?" He asked, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. "Are you a student, or are you working?"

"Oh, I'm still a student. I major in Criminology."

"Really? That's interesting. What made you decide to choose Criminology?"

"I, um, make music," he told you, and your eyes widened. "I guess you could say I dance too."

You shook your head, pushing the glass away from you. "No, not at all. It's the alcohol. One hundred per cent." Jimin let out another laugh.

"Anyway, let me answer your questions. I guess you could say we're famous. And no, this isn't really my usual style. I just needed something dark for tonight."

"Ooh. That makes sense. Kind of? I don't know." Jimin couldn't help but chuckle.

In his eyes, you were funny and cute. Whoever was your soulmate must've been lucky.

"Have you found your soulmate?" He asked. The topic surrounding soulmates hadn't been brought up until now.

"Nope, that's the main reason why I'm here tonight. To meet some new people and maybe find my soulmate or one of my soulmates, to be exact."

"You're looking for your soulmate at a club?" You nodded.

"I'm not a club/party girl. My friends thought bringing me here would be a good idea. Apparently, it's the perfect place to meet new people."

"Are you supposed to be part of a cluster? You mentioned how you were looking for one of your soulmates." Jimin asked, and you nodded.

His eyes widened. "No way! Me too!"

"You're part of a cluster too!? Have you found any of your soulmates?" You asked, and he hummed.

"I've found three of the four. Still looking for our missing piece," Jimin sighed, and you couldn't help but sigh too.

"You're so lucky to have found some of them. I haven't found any of my soulmates."

"I'm only lucky because they're in my group. So I found out about their birthdays. The last one, however… I did say we're still trying to find them."

"That is really lucky. I-" Jimin raised his hand, signalling you to stop talking before pulling his phone out of his pocket and bringing it to his ear.

"Hey, love. Really? Okay, I'll leave now. I'm going to say bye to my friend first," his eyes glanced at you at the mention of a friend.

While Jimin talked on the phone, your eyes wandered around, hoping to spot one of your friends. It sounded like he was about to leave, and you didn't want to sit alone and talk to the bartender.

"Yeah, I made a friend. And yes, she seems nice. Really nice, actually. I'll talk to you at home. Love you, bye."

"Sorry about that. That was one of my soulmates. Looks like I need to go," Jimin apologised once he got off the phone.

You couldn't help but feel a little sad that your time with him was over. Something in you wanted to get to know him more. But he was apparently famous. So you weren't sure if he would even be able to?

"It's okay. I had fun talking to you!" You smiled.

"I had fun talking to you too, y/n. Uh, can I get your number before I leave? I'd love to talk to you again," Jimin asked, extending his hand with the phone.

You almost dropped his phone from the sudden shock in your body when your fingers brushed together.

"Oh my gosh," Jimin whispered, looking at his hand with wide eyes before looking at you. "I guess your friends were right. The club is the perfect place to look for your soulmate."

I’m so glad someone said it, that Jikook are more soulmates and not vmin. I’m not 💯 up on that lore but it seems they said it once or twice, and the fandom ran with it? It drives me nuts because to me it’s not evident, not any more at least- reasons being what you’ve been talking about. Some soulmate when you can’t post for them on their release weeks, and that’s twice now. In fact not posting at all would have been better than what he actually did, which imo was disgraceful, he knew what he was doing and what happens when he does, I wish more people could see it, and stop defending him, he’s done this too many times.

To me, Jimin and Hobi are more bff/soulmate or mini moni, they have beautiful bonds. I mean Jimin does with most people and that’s wonderful but also part of the fandom’s problem because it makes him infinitely shippable. Instead of respecting their relationships, people fetishise them imo. Like with the vmin hug at jins discharge, people over the top reacting and inserting themselves. Jimin gives good hugs, his hug with Jin was also precious.

I don’t think people do that with jikook because as you said, they have not ‘labelled’ their dynamic unless you count all nighter friends (and when you truly think about that, it’s kinda wild). And I think peoples six sense can tell they are different and yes, homophobia and real person shipping play into that. When you have reactors on YouTube noticing it without context or knowledge, that’s when you can see without bias how they come across.

I look at them and see something deep and pure, a bond that is so precious they chose to enlist together, that alone shows their relationship is more, more something?! I am just hoping that with the show people will be respectful of them, and see how truly special they are to each other, the trailer alone was beautiful and showed them being so domestic in tune with each other, so precious.

i think if someone were to say that vmin aren't soulmates in any other space but this jikook space, there would be a target on their back and possibly risk being doxxed (/j but also /srs).

the main time i can think of with soulmates was friends from mots7. of course their friendships go beyond instagram posts and we have zero clue how often the members actually see each other, but vmin divorce was a thing on twitter last year for a reason. they really were not sharing about each other publicly.

i find vminkook interesting nowadays. because i think jikook make it obvious that they choose each other (often when jimin is nervous or uneasy he chooses jungkook, i.e., 2021 birthday live, beyond the star shoot in his appt). but tae still chooses jimin (and now often jungkook) as his go to in bts. never forget "jimin-ah i like you the most." even still, the fandom hooks on to vmin and hasn't let go for years.

my hot take is that there's a little something different in jimin's relationship with jungkook, despite him holding strong relationships with every other member. of course folvlowing jikook for a while will give you that viewpoint, but ot7s leaving jikook out of discussions and posts tells that they know their different.

i completely forgot about all-nighter friend, and i think that's because i could find bigger words to use in relation to them. their commitment in each other is so obvious it goes beyond hanging out all night.

thanks for the ask! i, of course, agree that the travel show will only deepen our perception of jikook and let us into their bond just a little more :'), i can't count how many times i've watched the trailer, im just too excited.

What hurted the most is i was expecting taehyung and hobi to hype jimin the most. Hobi didn't disappoint in ant way but taehyung did in every way possible. See I'm all for the "they don't have to show everything on sns" but it doesn't work when the guy is online, posting for 5/6 member's albums. He always post for his wooga, always post every Small thing but didn't do anything for jm. If it was yg i would understand cause he genuinely doesn't post anything on sns, if not for fans I feel he wouldn't even be using those apps. And then you also remember how taehyung took the early flight than all members from US concert return because he had to be present at a movie premiere of his newly made friend, you remember how he went to his wooga guy's fansign on the same day he had some music show to shoot and on the same day he had stationed party. So when you think he can do all that when he was busy but he didn't move for jm when he was literally on break going out with wooga squad. Seems like he made it known who are his priorities, he went for hobi, went for jk, went for wooga so jm definitely doesn't come in those priorities which is fine if Only the fandom let go off that soulmate shit Cause I'm tired of seeing jm put all efforts only to receive nothing in the end

Then his stans also can't drag jm for anything cause they know taehyung hardly showed any support to jm so they always go back to that one thing of jm forgetting writing taehyung's name to which he said sorry too. They know there's nothing they can drag him for.

Wouldn’t say I was personally hurt by him not showing up for Jimin. It just showed me that the tightly knit soulmate bond I once thought they had was never really reality. Like I’m certain they’re still on friendly terms, but his relationship with Jimin looks like an after thought to me nowadays. And I’ve never believed that TH had to be hanging off of Jimin 24/7 to show that he truly cares about him but there’s still such a lack of effort on his end. Armys cling onto the “vmin are soulmates” thing because it’s just another bullet point that fandom has abided by for so long. Doesn’t matter if that dynamic has undoubtedly changed over time.
