The nerve of this man. He certainly had guts for a soon to be dead man once she decided incognito was going through the damn window. Soon enough if he didn't let go of the bag she'd bought filled with food. A growl almost slipping out as she throws another rock at the wannabe thief when he peeks his head out at her. Narrowly missing given everything as she only then runs to grab what is rightfully hers. Snatching it back just moments before he can grab it and skidding to a stop as she can glare at him definately.

"I don't give a damn! Stealing is not the way to go!" A stomp of her foot for emphasis as she does shift just enenough. Taking more of a defensive stance as she can't help the fact the edges of her glamors are definately rippling. "Seriously. Gonna leave me without anything to eat either? You can't pick from someone with actual money coming out their damn pockets?"

It would be foolish if he wasn't aware of what went on in the city, didn't matter that he rarely venture into it. Preferring to keep hidden away in his hideout and away from the suffering — it helped ease his mind, if only a little bit. He didn't want to see the horrors that had come to pass. Having witnessed it enough in his opinion, bleeding over and over for a world that kept marching towards destruction. He hated that he ignored it BUT it had destroyed not just him but someone close to him. Turning away from it like that man had to save what little of himself was left now, so what if it was selfish?

He was definitely curious about this young man. Enough to keep a watchful eye on his whereabouts and activities. Smuggling water and other supplies was not something that was uncommon — a few struggling to help those ailing from hardship. You would be stupid not to know about it. Having turned down several who had tried to use him like an enforcer to shutdown such affairs when it effected them. Sure, he was no saint by any means and the jobs he did take were not for the faint of heart BUT even he wasn't about to get involved in such things. Let them fuck with those in charge, he would neither help nor hinder either side.

Almost disturbingly quick his wrist flicks and the little metal conductor's wand he carried around flies over and past the young man's shoulder. Piercing straight through the forehead of a large hulking monster of a yaoguai behind him — the being falling backwards and into a heap. The metal rod floating back into his hands before the masked monkey stands, stretching out his arms and scratching his neck with it.

"Watch your back or they ripe it out before you know it."

Honestly, it was cute that a simple smile was the cause of such reaction from his fellow celestial monkey. Only stirring him to see how much he could tease him now in response — what buttons he could push to get even more out of him.

The sage began leaning closer, invading Macaque's personal bubble JUST enough. Though he was mindful for now not to get too close or touch him — he wanted to tease him sure, but there was still those personal boundaries he kept in mind for now. Their relationship was still very rocky right now and he didn't want to do anything to push that divide that was already there.

His first instinct had been to say no, that he was alright and reassure Mk that this was no big deal. However, he'd be a hypocrite for doing so. He was trying to get Mk to see that it was ok to ask for help and lean on the support of his friends, that he didn't need to do things on his own.

How was he supposed to show him that when he couldn't do that himself? Then he heard Mk speak when he saw the blood and heard if he needed help, wincing as he moved his arms slightly and nodded his head. "I didn't want you to see me hurt but yeah, I do need some help here bud."

"Unlike you I'm not dying with curiosity." If only she could have avoided him of all people. While this may be a different version of the man who singlehandedly destroyed her entire life alongside another bastard, she'd atleast thought she could have gotten away from this mess sooner than later. Being caught now only meant he must have picked up something linking her to another. The successor of this world's Wukong. He doesn't have the blood running through his veins but the similarities are all there. It makes her want to gag. Frankly, the boy has it far better than she ever did. Yet that doesn't mean those memories don't lurk at the edges of her mind. If this one was anything like hers had been, it would be easy to atleast lay him flat on his back and run with that moment of distraction.

Even still she won't be caught with her hair down as some would say. Gripping the edges of the bucket filled to the brim with apples a bit more tightly. How easily he moved out of the shadows before her made her fur crawl, carefully crafted glamors made her always appear human. She needed to be in a world that was unlike hers. Staying anonymous was her best bet here. She was given a second chance and she'll take it. Though many of her questions will always remain unanswered. Why did she alone survive when her world died? Why did she end up here? Has those events already taken place or is she just unlucky in being thrust into a world of a past time?

"....so what brings the legendary six eared macaque my way. Surely those ears of yours didn't pick up anything interesting from my lips. I haven't the habit of talking nonsense."
