Strange as it might be, there had been nothing outwardly alarming about the stranger's mysterious appearance.

If you told the Doctor that he'd be caught in a hug, he'd be confused but not really unbelievable. But he didn't exactly expect - well this. So it's safe to say that he was confused. Surprised a bit at best or completely, but that didn't deter them from returning the hug back. Not that it was a complaint, plus besides getting the hug of death as he jokes. Not with Jackie in earshot, why would he call it that with her there, he'd probably get yelled at for it.

He just doesn't often get hugs from other people outside of his family, and even Tony seems to have gotten into hugging him like it could be the last. So he was going to spend every second of this hug happily.

Burger King's late-night hours have saved him plenty of times when he found himself lost in his projects, and so has this particular 7-Eleven when he found himself short on coffee and in desperate need of a caffeine fix.

A bell chimes to announce their entrance and Emmett squints under the harsh fluorescent lighting, blinking a few times against the drastic change from the darkness outside. The cheerful title music of Wild Gunman rings out on a short loop from somewhere in the corner.

The only other soul in the store besides them is the clerk, a fairly young man not much older than Marty who looks up, bored, from the magazine he's been reading to acknowledge them with a nod when he realises they're likely not here to rob the place.

Sarah Jane reached for one of his hands, placing her own hand over it, as her eyes searched for his. “I could hear the television from upstairs. What matters, however, is that you’re okay.” At least he said he was. She would try and take his word for it. “So, don’t apologize, alright?”

The television, being louder than usual, had not woken her up. She had not yet managed to fall asleep.

“Besides, nature documentaries are not the worst thing to be blasting.” It was quite innocent, really.

Sorry Arthur hasn’t been around this year. Stuff has been chaotic, started a new job, hoping to move soon. Life do be lifing. But I’m not off tumblr completely! I am on two blogs mainly rn ( @little-basilsprout is my main/regression blog, and you can find me roleplaying on @voidxxdrifting ) so y’all can hmu over there at any time!

I may sit down at some point and do a full blog revamp at some point. I do still ADORE Arthur, the stories we’ve made here, and all of you guys.

But I jumped on here to say I hope everyone has some happy holidays! My Hanukkah was pretty cool, and I’m looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my gf and her family. I hope everyone here has a holiday that’s peaceful and at the very least over quickly if it can’t be.
