Galtean AU - “The first encounter”

The gardens of the Altean Royal Palace were rich with lucious greens and flowers. The brilliant light coming from the giant terrace windows, so strong and almost intimidating.

It was Keith’s first time on the foreign planet, here on an escort mission of their leader, and while the higher ranks were occupied with meeting after meeting, he took the opportunity to explore.

I finally watched the last season of Voltron and feel like the odd one out for actually enjoying it. That gay kiss at the end had me clapping!

Yes yes yes yes yes yesssssssss I was really happy for that kiss with Shiro and Curtis too! It gave me a big smile. The first scene of VLD was Shiro entering hell, being captured by the Galra, and the entire series he’s suffered and kept himself strong through war, leadership, and tough burdens. At the end of the show, the final scene, is Shiro finding his peace and happiness - and giving us a cool animated gay kiss on screen. And while S8 wasn’t my number one favorite season, I’m not disappointed or upset by it, either, but happy to have gotten VLD’s conclusion. I’m happy to join forces with you and others to scream positivity of VLD S8!!! There are LOTS of things to talk about and enjoy about S8.

I think it’s interesting because, in my irl friends circle and close url friends circles, almost all of us had fun with S8. And then, in contrast, online VLD S8 has gotten its... reputation and backlash.

I’ve noticed in my positive posts for VLD S8, lots of people in the tags will thank me for posting positive things about the season. We’re not alone in having fun with this season, especially if we take the initiative to talk about it with each other! I think we all just need to shout our voices more. :)
