Propaganda
Vonetta McGee (The Great Silence)—her debut was in 1968, but her debut has straight up one of the most tender and nicest love scenes I have ever seen in a western. a rare western that is at least neutral about interracial relationships, and even though it’s a tragedy you’re really rooting for her to get her revenge and continue this new love and fucking survive. incredible movie for the hurt/comfort
Jane Birkin (La Piscine)—Jane Birkin propaganda I think is pretty neat: the Birkin bag was named after her, she's the mother of actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Agnes Varda devoted a whole documentary to her.
This is round 1 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.

Vonetta: Oh finally! You’re proposing!
Emil: What?! How did you know?!
Vonetta: You dropped the ring six times during dinner.
Emil:
Vonetta: I even had to pick it up once.
