Spent the greater part of a physics tutorial drawing MH redesigns in my notebook and really wanted to colour them digitally and finally got around to it! Here’s Lagoona and Frankie <3

I really grew to love pink Lagoona but I do feel like she was set up for failure with the multicolour hair because it’s so hard to give her a unified colour palette so my take on her is trying to be a little bit more cohesive colour wise 😭 also she deserves to be a vsco girlie because I said so (I forgot to colour in her scrunchie pretend it’s pink)

As for Frankie I honestly think their g3 design is my favourite of them all but I do miss the mall gothy look they had in g1 so I tried to combine that alongside the nerdy vibes they get along all generations :))

I have more redesigns on the way I just haven’t coloured them in yet but I’ll post them as soon as I do 😈

a pro tip also is to search your blorbo/team/etc places other than google/youtube, like vimeo (this is where the cream of the crop content is hiding, i search nhl on vimeo every few days), photo websites like flickr, vsco, etc. really try to think outside the box with this! for example u can search inside books with the internet archive/google books. i found jack was randomly featured in a book about sidney crosby this way.

learn to use google and twitter etc search tools so you can filter through searches easily. this is more useful the more common of a name your blorbo has, and unfortunately for hockey there is many a tyler.

Thank youuuu!! I use my IPhone 13 Pro Max! And use portrait mode and use the “f” (f-stop) and set the depth of it to the max 16, then I’ll use VSCO to help enhance features, and use the preset app to help with better lighting!

This is without question my favorite photo I’ve ever taken. The other day I shared why Multnomah is so special to me and this photo feels, to me, like the sort of photos that I’d see on IG back when the app was new. The PNW Instagrammers perfected those moody, cloudy, foggy, rainy, grey day shots and made the rest of us dream of running into the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with classic American made boots on our feet, @woolrich socks, @filson1897 shirts, and of course a @pendletonwm blanket spilling out of a @bradleymountain backpack, and a @loyalstricklin leather mug in hand for good measure. I spent years begging Paige to teach me to shoot like those folks shot, to me they were legends and greats, and the coolest of cool back then, now I just call them friends. But to have shot this shot, in a way that felt effortless is crazy to me. In that moment I was so confident with all my settings, my framing, my everything that it just felt so natural. When I look at this image I think of all the hours of forcing my friends to teach me how to adjust my camera, how to properly plan a road trip, and how to really really step into a moment and savor it while still documenting it.
