You have to try to be at least as kind to yourself as you would be to an acquaintance you find mildly annoying. You are legitimately harder on yourself than you are on people you know you dislike. Don’t you dare take this as a new shame fixation either. Just be honest with yourself about how you treat people and accept that if your friends can be nice to you you can be nice yto you. It doesn’t have to be valid or mood or so same friend it can just be sincere in a quiet and come t free way.

Unlike papa, who needs a personality change for people to even feel comfortable around, Ghost just needs to learn to allow people to be dependent of him and vice versa. Other than Toast of course.

I’m not sure if he’s even mentioned Maxwell? Even though the two might’ve been close at a time, seeing as they were alive and near papa at the same time before their death. Except Jose is actually a vengeful spirit and Maxwell came back through a sacrifice and summoning.)

and then once he died and became a vengeful spirit he stuck to the name with the thought process of ‘this is just another crime, this isn’t my life and I shouldn’t treat it as such.’ and basically disowns himself from his real name. Which was a real confusing thing for Maxwell when they finally met again beyond the grave.
