Product Development Process & Agile with Scrum
Pembelajaran minggu ke-9
Perbedaan lean and agile a. LEAN-> remove waste (lebih ke kecepatan dg mengurangi dan menghilangkan waste dlm proses)-> *ramping* +lean-> ini penting gak!? ini penting gak? kalau gak penting yg penting dulu +lean focusses on removing waste as part to improve efficiency in delivering products +use case-> scoping MVP-> saat masih berusaha mendefinisikan MVP nya +type of waste in lean-> excess processing b.
agile values: a. individuals and interactions b. customer collaboration c. responding to change
the following is lean/agile manifestation: a. faster release timeline b. higher chance of success c. remove unnecessary fearures early
user stories "as a [persona], i [want to], [so that]" *who*how*why
maksud user stories disini-> are short requirements or request written from an end user's perspective. user stories should represent the delivered value to our users.
to get complete user stories, we also need acceptance criteria
cara metode utk mengurangi waste pada lean a. overproduction-> gadibutuhin b. reduce transportation-> yang perlu2 dulu c. reduce inventory d. motion-> kalau team butuh dependency satu sama lain bisa mengurangi keefektifan e. mengurangi defects-> bahkan bisa fokus pada pengurangan defects dibandingkan yg lain
the Agile manifesto consists of four key values: a. Individuals and interactions over processes and tools b. working software over comprehensive documentation c. customer collaboration over contract negotiation d. responding to change over following a plan
3 level: a. initiatives-> contoh initiative dari agar berat badan menurun-> olahraga b. epic-> the collection of user stories that drive toward a common objective; fungsi epic-> memudahkan untuk grooming agar bisa baca requirement lebih mudah c. user stories-> a good user story example: as a new customer, i want to be able to complete my transaction with a debit card so that i feel secure in the checkout process
what criterias of good user stories?-> INVEST a. Independent-> the story is not dependent on other stories getting done b. Negotiable-> the story prompts but doesn't prescribe a solution c. Valuable-> the story makes clear the benefit it delivers the users (what value it delivers to the users. example-> ___so that i understand the total value saved and proceed to checkout (why) d. Estimable-> the story gives enough detail to estimate the size of the story e. Small-> the story is the smallest piece of work that will deliver useful software f. Testable-> the story is clear enough that you can assess if the story is done
the five types of scrum ceremonies (source: https://www.projectmanager.com/blog/guide-to-scrum-ceremonies#:~:text=A%20sprint%20employs%20four%20different,sprint%20review%20and%20sprint%20retrospective ): a. sprint planning b. daily scrum c. sprint review d. sprint retrospective
tentang backlog dan develop team-> https://bigpicture.one/everything-you-need-to-know-about-product-backlog/
user interaction and design-> cukup detaild ada unhappy path-> contoh: kalau promo ga valid (krn palsu/expired)
effort estimation of a task is done by the engineering team and tell it to product manager *** Agile with Scrum
outcome of Daily Scrum-> teams gather in the daily meeting to share what has been accomplished and identify any blockers that might compromise sprint goals
how to plan and execute scrum sprints +do's (source: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/scrum/sprints) a. Make sure the team sets and understands the sprint goal and how success will be measured. This is the key to keeping everyone aligned and moving forward toward a common destination. b. Do ensure you have a well-groomed backlog with your priorities and dependencies in order. This can be a big challenge that could derail the process if it’s not properly managed. c. Ensure you have a good understanding of velocity, and that it reflects things like leave and team meetings. d. Do use the sprint planning meeting to flesh out intimate details of the work that needs to get done. Encourage team members to sketch out tasks for all stories, bugs, and tasks that come into the sprint. e. Leave out work where you won’t be able to get the dependencies done, like work from another team, designs, and legal sign-off. f. Finally, once a decision or plan is made, make sure someone captures that information in your project management or collaboration tool, like your Jira tickets. That way, both the decision and the rationale are easy for everyone to see later.
Scrum has roles below: a. scrum master b. product owner c. development teams
scrum can be used in: a. development and sustaining of cloud and other operational environments b. research and identification of viable markets, technologies, and product capabilities c. development of almost everything we use in our daily lives as individuals and societies

Week 9 Summary/Reflection/Notes: Methdology Chapter
I've been a little slack on 703 this week in the lead up to prototype presentations for 702. So trying to make sure my methdology chapter is coming along.
Looking to other structures to inform mine:
Obviously mine won't be as long as Elena's, but I think some of her process is similar
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Structure:
Overview
Here she does a short introduction to this section, naming the approaches she takes
2. Research paradigm
She identifies that her project is Pospositivist and defines this
3. Research Methodology
Here she idnetifies an autoethnographic approach supported by heurisitc inquiry. She then defines these approaches and situates them by quoting other academics' arguments about them. She explains HOW her work is autoethnographic and HOW it is heuristic.
Research Methods
She explains her process here with images documenting the following methods:
Researching Archived Data
Studying Narrative Design
The flow Journal
Bedesa (a Russian Term)
Road Mapping
Sketching Thumbnail Spreads
Character Drawing
5. Critique of research design
advantages of the research design
She outlines personal, practical and academic advantages to a heuristic/autoethnographic inquiry
challenges of the research design
She reflects on the ethics of these approaches, referring to other academics and also engages in some reflexive thinking
6. Summary
Just a short summary to conclude this chapter and reiterate her approach. She then points the reader to her next section; contextual inquiry.
Reflection: the parts I liked from her structure/content that I would like to employ in my own exegesis were
reflexivity
numbering sub-sections
images
explaining HOW my approach is heuristic etc.
a reflective and personal approach makes the text more interesting to read
In all, I thought it was really well written and researched. i really liked how when she defined different methodologies, she referred to academics not just to give a bland definition, but also to give a 'take' on the approach at the same time.

I’d type Hoseok as 125 or 126, but I’m still a beginner and 6 are so goddamn hard to understand let alone type…
i don’t think hoseok is 6-fixed, as he lacks the characteristic 6 inability to trust himself & his judgement that is particularly obvious with a fix, since fixes usually manifest as the fundamental elements of a type rather than all the fluff of a core. jimin and namjoon are good examples of 6-fixed people. they’re both chronically unsure of themselves but seeking surety (for jimin, in perfectionism. for joon, in introspection), and jin is a very counterphobic 6w7
i’m pretty confident that hoseok’s a 173. he’s not needy enough to be 2-fixed and the 3 is pretty obvious in how particular he is abt his appearance & image. the 7 honestly speaks for itself in my opinion, with his need for positivity & hope & dismissal of anything uncomfortable to avoid it, often using humor but sometimes just straight up pretending he doesn’t see it lmfao
on that, hoseok does have lots of 6 behaviors, but they remind me of a wing. he’s very attuned to what can go wrong & risk averse but lacks the anxiety & self-doubt of real 6. his risk aversion looks like a 7w6 avoiding potential discomfort
i’m actually pretty impressed you were able to see past his 7-ness and catch that he’s probably a core 1 (since he sees acting like a 7 as part of his 1 duty, and his particularly powerful 7 fix + integration). it took me until i rlly sunk my teeth into his tritype recently, & i haven’t seen anyone else point it out. good job!!
