Do you have a plan to watch kim junghyun's new drama this September 👀?
I 100% am ready to see Kim Jung-hyun in a new drama!
I'm excited that it's a black comedy so it sounds like it might be kinda unique? Romance is not listed as a genre but maybe we'll get lucky :)

A late night Lolex dialogue
I miss Lolex so much so why not I'll write a late night dialogue.
Also, let's just say apart from both the loss of Lolex and my currently both permanently and equally d**d and unresponsive 6 year old 2019 Macbook Pro model; I did felt truthfully more stressful than I was on a personal yet an irrelevant note; sorry. :(
But enjoy this dialogue from me to everyone. ;)
Also, I did felt as if they both are messaging via Sony Ericsson flip Phones especially the T707 phones.
A Lolex text message between Alex and Logan.
Let's just truthfully say, I'll truly imagine Logan is now living in the island of Oahu; Hawaii—both single and living a "Normal daily life" imaginatively in my very own universe. ^_~
Alex: Logan, do you truthfully miss me?
Logan: Yeah, I do; you?
Alex: I do really miss you very much. It hadn't been the same without you; buddy. :(
Logan: I know, it hasn't been the same without you.
Alex: Where are you now living?
Logan: An apartment building, dejectly not in an area near the beach but in the inland area.
Alex: At where, buddy?
Logan: Honolulu, Oahu: Hawaii. If you go near the area near a canal called Ala Wai Canal, it is on the opposite of the canal. Not the one with the hotels but much more inland or makua as what they had told me about. Makua means "Inland".
Alex: Oh okay, but I do truthfully miss you very much that every day I tried not to cry but already it does feels challenging to truthfully hold it back so I did ended up crying.
Logan: ?
Alex: I cried so much all because how you had left me so soon, buddy.
Logan: Sorry, maybe can you look for me at Island Vintage Coffee? It's Hawaii version of SB.
Alex: Okay but at where?
Logan: Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center; next to the pink iconic hotel building at Waikiki.
Alex: Okay. I'll see you there buddy.
Logan: Yep, I'll see you there. Plus you'll get to meet a new friend I had met her when she works at a boutique at the Waikiki Beach Walk.
Alex: Oh, can I get to know her?
Logan: Yes, but I'm going to truly keep it as a secret so no 'true' offense to you; buddy. Sorry. ;P
Alex: Oh. :/
Logan: But I'll make you a special cup of coffee but go get your sleep okay? See you soon.
Alex: Sure, take care of yourself. See you & miss you, bud.
Logan: Same here, I miss you too & take care: bro! Brothers forever & always.

I was never into the American Doll toys cus they weren't popular in my country, but I've always had the feeling that the XX century dolls all look like they are wearing adult's outfits. And tbh I don't think it's that bad cus some of the most iconic dresses of their respective eras weren't standard styles for children. I saw someone commenting that the styles on the 90's doll look like tv characters, and I think that's accurate for dolls from other decades as well, maybe it just irks us millenials cus that's an era we were closer to living so it doesn't feel natural.
It depends on the character, as far as I can tell! Going down the decades:
Samantha definitely looks like a little girl from 1904 (see: the dropped waists and short skirts on her dresses- adult ladies in that era wore gowns at their natural waists, with long skirts, and their hair pinned up).
Ditto Rebecca. Similar age rules to Samantha's era, all well-followed. No notes there.
Claudie...was made recently and therefore her collection is peak Mattel-tastic hot nonsense, painful as that is given how amazing her story could have been. Her Meet outfit isn't too bad? Like it's believable for a 1920s girl? But everything else looks awful, from a quick Google search. Not even Adult 1920s Fashion; just bad stereotypes.
Kit seems pretty on-brand for 1930s little girls' clothing, though we're getting further from my eras of expertise. The original collection, not the BeForever BS.
Molly is, again, getting way out of my wheelhouse, but she's definitely not wearing 1940s adult fashions. It's interesting to see the same era done with Nanea considerably later in the company's timeline, because it seems much more like their later "distilled" approach to the historical characters. Less researched, less detailed, less of the period and more Generic Vintage. Also, it's the 1940s and she has NO casual dresses? Really? I get that she lives in a tropical climate, but, again. 1940s. Little girls generally wore skirts most of the time, in any place where western fashion predominated.
Tumblr media
(Class photo, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Waikiki. 1942.)
Maryellen is very...Intensely 1950s, but based on what I've seen, she's not Overly Mature in her attire per se. I feel like they're leaning too hard on the big fluffy skirts- didn't girls often wear a slimmer silhouette for school, out of practicality? -but it's not too old for her. I don't think. and of course, this is well post-Mattel takeover, as with Claudie's collection
I feel like they're trying really hard to differentiate Melody from Maryellen, but based on photos of my mother as a kid in the early 1960s, there was a lot more bleed-over between the two decades than people realize? this is another Mattel Made It Costume-y one for me, I think. it's not too mature exactly, but it's. Off, somehow
I kind of see Julie as the beginnng of the end, in terms of research quality in the company's history. It's not WRONG, but yeah, it's only one specific aspect of the era's clothing and it's more something popularized by adults. Kids did wear the hippie look in the 1970s, but it's definitely not what you think of when you consider a child's play-clothes or school-clothes back then.
Courtney is just. Okay, while she was considerably younger, my sister was an '80s kid, and she did not dress like Madonna or a Jazzercise dancer 24/7. Serious question- is AG allergic to jeans on historical character dolls from eras wherein jeans existed?
And now we have. Clueless and The Disney Channel Exploded, coming soon to an overpriced mall store near you!
This has been an unnecessarily long walkthrough of AG thoughts with Marzi! Thanks for giving me an excuse, and I'm so sorry.

Perdrakoran berdasarkan genre. Yg di tandai hijau itu berarti cuma nonton bbrp ep dan ngga lanjut. Action & crime jg salah satu yg mayan sering jd pilihan, diantara list diatas paling fav sih Flower of evil seruuu bgt. Historical emg jarang2 jg, beneran pipilih deh kaya moon lovers, mr. Queen, kingdom, mr. Sunshine (belom tamat ini wkwk). Ngga masuk di list deh ih.. Slice of life, fav bgt selalu deep alur ceritanya tuh bahkan bikin baper dan heartwarming aja gt, khusus waikiki itumah komedi bgt cuy ketawa2nya sampe bengek lah. Genre fantasi super jarang bgt dijadiin pilihan sih, entah knp kaya kurang cocok aja di aku. Romance, butuh bgt disaat pgn genre yg light gapake mikir, romansa yg perfect.
Belom lg kalo kualitas cd nya jelek dahlah nontonnya jg jd macet2an banyak distraksi bgt. Akhirnya tahun2 berikutnya mulai deh berubah jadi file (ttp donlot jalur harom), jadi lebih ringkes bisa pake media lebih kecil yaitu flashdisk haha. Tukeran fd minta sama kawan2, udah tau caranya mah lsg donlot sendiri aja.
2010 atau 2011 gt mulai suka reality show korea, drakor ttp jalan tp reality show jg jadi ngikutin. Running Man! Yaampun ini bukan suka lg tapi kecanduan, ngakak bgt nontonnya beneran hiburan dikala mumet kuliah. Awalnya aku nonton di yutub sama bestie smp/sma ku kami memang sefrekuensi ttg yg bikin ngakak mah. Kalo ngga salah saat itu udah berjalan brp puluh ep gt trus aku mulai ngikutin dr ep 1. Serunya ya member RM nya superlucu trus bintang tamunya jg jd tau karakter lain mreka, ya ada idol grup, aktor, atlet. Kdg aku tau idol grup itu ya dari RM hahaha. Selain RM, mulai suka sama reality show lain kaya appa eodiga, superman return dan msh bnyk lagi lahhh.. Nah malah skrg udah gapernah ngikutin reality show nih, skrg di Netflix lg gandrung single inferno aja ngga aku ikutin hehe.
Perdrakoran ini ternyata belom menular ke suamiku nih. Disaat suami2 org nobar drakor kaya Reply 1988 yaa genre slice of life lah gt. Seru kayanya kalo ngedrakor bareng suami haha. Baru terpengaruh series barat aja selama ini, blio blg "aku gapernah nonton series, semenjak sama kamu jadi suka" apalagi semenjak ada netflix blio lebih explor seleranya sendiri dan rekomenin ke aku. Biasanya yaa aku yg rekomenin. Kalo koreaan sih blio ngikutin filmnya, dan suka.. Genre nya jg thriller gt kan. Aku coba2 deh cekokin drakornya, Kingdom dan Jirisan blio nonton tp ngga tamat huft. Skrg gpp belom suka, one day okeeeh hahaha ambis bgt

How is it possible that Japan has convenience store brands of delicious cheap chicken nuggets that you can find in gas stations?
So Lawson is a company found in 1939 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The once American milk store would eventually after a serious of mergers and corporate back and forths go defunct as a brand. But today, it is now a chain of over 14,600 convenience stores in Japan. I could get side tracked by their business model offering a “'Hub of refreshment in every community' through the three 'Whew!' Surprises." The vision of "Creating Happiness and Harmony in Our Communities" is the best and real social purpose I've ever read.
In 1975, under a deal with The Daiei, Inc., the first Japanese Lawson store would open. It would take until 2012 to reopen Lawson stores in Hawaii on American soil again - side note the 2 locations are located in hotels: the Sheraton Waikiki and the Westin's Moana Hotel. The chain is expanding rapidly with over 5,000 additional stores in China.
Now that would all be unremarkable, except they would also go on to launch their "Kara-age-kun" chicken nuggets in 1986 (what a time to be alive). They have launched over 100 flavours, and reportedly sell 500,000 orders every day. Or as legend would have it - they have sold over 150,000 Mt. Fujis tall worth of tasty chicken nuggets. And like the Costco hot dog of Japan - they only recently increased prices for the first time. They wouldn't even have the cute packaging and branding until 2003.
Lawson is the story of a brand that started in Ohio selling milk, launched as a novelty American store in Japan, is now owned by Misubishi and turned into an iconic chicken empire.

Famous Filming Locations in Oahu
Oahu means “gathering” – whether that be a gathering of friends on the beach, family on vacation, or a gathering of experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
Here at the Imperial Hawaii Resort, we infuse our vacation packages with tours, great food, incredible views, and more than a little historical importance. As one of the top hotels with two room suites near Waikiki Beach, we offer one of the best breakfast deals in Honolulu and invite guests to transport themselves from their room to the beach within minutes.
But it’s not all relaxation and cocktails on the beach on the island of Oahu and around our resort. As one of the prominent hotels near Pearl Harbor, Oahu is an island which has long been considered one of the top filming locations for Hawaiian movies and blockbusters.
Here are some of the best and most famous locations in Oahu – and the movies that were shot there.
Lost – the whole of Oahu
Lost quickly became a hit when it immersed viewers in the drama of a set of adults stranded on a Hawaiian island after their plane crashed. Oahu was the set used to film Lost, with the crew transforming a series of locations across and throughout the island – including Kualoa Ranch and the Valley of the Temples.
In fact, the Kualoa Ranch has been the setting for some major movies and big screen experiences, thanks to its natural surroundings and the vast expanse of trees, forests, and grasslands available. A tour of the site today will invite you to see leftover props from some of the biggest projects, which include Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, and Pearl Harbor.
Hunger Games - Turtle Bay Resort
Turtle Bay is an iconic hotel which not only offers guests a unique and luxurious experience, but which has also played host to a number of movies, namely the Hunger Games crew, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
This beachfront resort offers experiences to both guests and those who simply want to visit and enjoy the activities, making it a great stopping point on your vacation regardless of where you are staying.
From Here to Eternity – Eternity Cove
Eternity Cove earned its nickname from its moment in the 1950s movie From Here to Eternity – though it is actually called ‘Halona Beach Cove’. This site is where the two main characters shared their iconic movie kiss, which is what earned the beach its name, though the site has also appeared in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and in Jurassic World.
Movie Magic
Oahu is a destination which combines movie magic with history, offering tours to visitors from all walks of life alongside marine activities, land adventures, and all the Tiki bars and cocktails that you could ask for. For more information on exploring the island and making the most of your Hawaiian adventure, get in touch with your hotel rep or visit our website and other inspiration blog posts.

After playing Stump the Band on “The Tonight Show” Lucy wins a dinner for two at the Brown Derby. There she runs into Johnny and Ed McMahon.  In an homage to the classic “I Love Lucy” episode also set at the Brown Derby, Lucy manages to cause a tray of drinks to be spilled on Carson.

To teach Harry a lesson, Lucy takes Harry to lunch and has Kim wait on him. She is making 40 cents an hour. Lucy orders a hamburger and iced tea. Harry’s usual is a salad - which Kim spills all over him - deliberately. She then dumps an ice cold glass of iced tea in his lap!
Tumblr media
Chasen’s ~ “Lucy and Eva Gabor are Hospital Roomies” (1972)
In the hospital Gabor’s assistant Walter (R.G. Brown) brings Gabor's dinner on a silver tray. He says it was prepared especially for her by Chasen's, a real-life West Hollywood restaurant frequented by entertainers. It first opened in 1936 and closed for good on April 1, 1995. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were regulars and had their own private booth there. Although it is mentioned, no scenes are set there.
Tumblr media

Schwab’s Pharmacy was a drug store located on Sunset Boulevard and was a popular hangout for wannabe movie actors from the 1930s through the 1950s. Schwab’s also had a soda fountain serving ice cream and light meals. It is Hollywood legend that actress Lana Turner was discovered at Schwab’s. Schwab’s closed its doors in October 1983 and five years later was demolished. Schwab’s was mentioned on “I Love Lucy” in “Lucy Wants to Get Into Pictures” (1955).

Tumblr media
Persian Restaurant ~ “Lucy and Her Prince Charming” (1972)
Lucy is dating a handsome man (Ricardo Montalban) who turns out to be royalty. When Harry finds out that the Prince is in love with Lucy, he'll stop at nothing to get the two married - including masquerading as a fortune teller during their date at a Persian-themed restaurant.
Tumblr media
Villa Roma  ~ “Lucy’s Last Blind Date” (1973)
When Harry finds out his cousin Ben (Don Knotts) is rich and single, he wants Lucy to go on a blind date with him.
BEN (to Lucy, about the menu): “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but this is all in a foreign language.”  LUCY: “It’s Italian. You kinda have to expect that in a restaurant called the Villa Roma.”
Much of the episode also takes place at the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop (see the first entry above).
Tumblr media
The Proud Penguin ~ “Lucy and the Franchise Fiasco” (1973)
The Proud Penguin is a frozen custard stand on Citrus Boulevard across the street from the Los Angeles Zoo. Lucy and Mary Jane are partners in the business, The episodes also features scenes set in the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop and on the dining terrace of the Westland Country Club, where a dinner of a whole albacore tuna is destroyed by baby penguins!
Tumblr media
Refreshment Stand at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ~ “Lucy and the Big Game” (1973)
Lucy and Harry recieve tickets to a football game between the USC 'Trojans’ and the University of Oklahoma 'Sooners’. Two visiting team fans (Cliff Norton and Al Checco) pass by singing the title song of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Tumblr media
Restaurant ~ “Lucy and Andy Griffith” (1973)
Lucy has coffee with Andy Johnson (Andy Griffith) to talk about his work with underprivileged youth. In the next scene, Kim and Harry meet at the same restaurant and sit in the same booth!  The red booths used in the episode were also seen in the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop.

Tumblr media
Harvey’s Welcome Inn ~ “Lucy Fights the System” (1974)
To prove that a waitress Mary was let go because of her age, Kim goes undercover as a new hire. She deliberately turns the restaurant upside down to prove how capable Mary was. This is the last episode of the series. Fittingly, Harry gets a pie in the face.

Embrace the Spirit of Aloha with Sunner Oahu
When we think of Oahu, images of sun-kissed beaches, rolling waves, and a vibrant island culture come to mind. It's a place where the spirit of aloha isn’t just a saying but a way of life. Capturing this essence is the Sunner Oahu collection, a clothing line inspired by the island’s natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle, and rich cultural heritage. Whether you're a surfer catching waves at Waikiki or simply someone who appreciates the laid-back vibe of island living, Sunner Oahu has something special to offer.
The Inspiration Behind Sunner Oahu
Oahu, the heart of Hawaii, is known for its diverse landscapes, from the bustling streets of Honolulu to the serene beauty of the North Shore. The island’s energy is palpable, with a blend of urban sophistication and untouched nature. Sunner Oahu draws from this duality, creating clothing that reflects both the adventure and relaxation found on the island.
The brand is deeply rooted in the surf culture that thrives on Oahu's shores. Surfers from around the world flock to places like Pipeline and Sunset Beach, where the waves are legendary. Sunner Oahu's designs pay homage to these iconic locations, incorporating elements that resonate with both seasoned surfers and those who simply love the ocean.
Key Features of the Sunner Oahu Collection
1. Sustainable Materials
Sunner Oahu is committed to sustainability, using eco-friendly materials in their clothing. Organic cotton, recycled polyester, and hemp are just a few of the fabrics that make up their collection. These materials are not only better for the environment but also offer superior comfort and durability, perfect for those who spend their days in the sun and sand.
2. Island-Inspired Designs
The designs in the Sunner Oahu collection are a true reflection of the island’s beauty. Think bold tropical prints, ocean-inspired hues, and subtle nods to Hawaiian culture. From t-shirts and tank tops to board shorts and sundresses, each piece is designed to evoke the feeling of being on Oahu. The brand also incorporates traditional Hawaiian patterns and motifs, adding an authentic touch to their clothing.
3. Versatility
One of the standout features of Sunner Oahu clothing is its versatility. The collection is designed for both the beach and beyond, making it easy to transition from a day in the sun to a casual evening out. The relaxed fit and breathable fabrics ensure comfort in any setting, while the stylish designs make sure you look effortlessly cool.
The Sunner Oahu Lifestyle
Wearing Sunner Oahu is more than just putting on clothes; it's about embracing a lifestyle. The brand encourages its wearers to live with the same sense of freedom and joy that you find on the island. Whether you're hiking up Diamond Head, exploring the lush rainforests, or enjoying a sunset on the beach, Sunner Oahu clothing is made to enhance those experiences.
Living Aloha
At the core of Sunner Oahu is the concept of "living aloha." In Hawaiian culture, aloha is more than just a greeting; it's a way of life that emphasizes love, peace, and compassion.
