So, the word Valkyrie can be reconstructed in proto-Germanic as *wala-kuz-jō, lit. "corpse(battle-slain)-choice-AGENTIVE" (the meaning "Chooser of the Slain" should be familiar). The noun "kuza" is even vaguely to do with the English "choice."
The proto-Germanic *walaz, meaning something like "those killed in battle/the place they are killed" is the origin of the Old Norse "valr," which has basically the same meaning. This is the origin of Valhöll and Valravn and similar words which the average norsedork will know.
There is, in proto-Germanic, another noun meaning "choice", and it is related to the English "will" and the German "Wahl": *wala. This word shows up in Old Norse as "val," and iirc the word "valg" has become the more common word by far in Dansk and Norsk than the cognate of "choose", which I suppose would be "kår."
All this to say that there is an alternate universe in which, instead of "Valkyrja," the Vikings said "Valvalja," from the proto-Germanic *walawala (or *walawaljō I suppose), giving Modern English "Valval."

youtube
this is a lengthy 20 minute video by walawala but every second of it speaks of what I also think about onew. I thought me crying over the issue was over but then this video happened. nonetheless, I am happy there are a lot of people who still support him and are willing to wait for him, just like me.
“Guest: Onew easily breaks down when someone criticizes him Taeyeon: So he has a weak heart? Guest: Yes, he is a leader with a weak heart Taeyeon: yeah he’s too gentle, like a soft tofu”
please watch it if you like and again let others see the good in him.💙

Sophisticated dreams of Kenny Williams Tjampitjinpa.
Kenny Williams Tjampitjinpa was born around 1950 in Iliya, not far from Kiwirkurra. Western Australia. Kenny is the eldest son of Naata Nungurrayi and her first husband Pilamartitja Tjangala (circa 1917-1961), who died of thirst in the desert two years before their group’s first encounter with white men. In 1963 he and his family came across Jeremy Long's Welfare Branch Patrol. In 1964, Sandy Nim Nim, as Kenny was nicknamed, and his family were brought to Papunya. In May 1988 Kenny began painting his Dreamings for Papunya Tula Artists, aided by Ronnie Tjampitjinpa. Kenny’s principal ‘homestead’ site is Walawala near Kiwirrkurra.
Kenny's main Dreamings tell stories about the (Kuniya) python and Ngamanpura, a swamp west of Kintore where a black berry with the same name can be found. For a few years, Kenny was the chairman of Papunya Tula Artists and in 2000 he won the prestigious Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award. Kenny Williams is a perfectionist: he works slowly and with painstaking care. His paintings can be distinguished by a fine play of careful zig-zag-patterns, executed in subtle earth tones. The whole composition often has a hypnotic effect. Like the old masters from Papunya, Kenny treats his brushes and paint with great pride and reverence.

One of the most recent spells in Wunna’s repetoire that I’ve come up with courtesy of talks on Discord is the “One’s Plea of the Ancestor Spirits.”
It is a spell that is taught to many clevermen upon the initiation of their training, as it will become important one day if they absolutely need it. However it is always considered a risk none should make unless the circumstances are especially dire.
One calls upon Ancestor Spirits of The Storms, The Earth, and The Sea to grant them the ability to reach across the plane and speak directly to the Ancestor Spirit of Life and Death, whom Wunna calls Auntie as an honorific. To take some of their life force, and in return heal the injuries of one they wish to save just enough that they aren’t in danger anymore.
Here is the incantation to it, in Wunna’s native language.
“Garuu Gungan, Gunimaa, Garuu walawala Banma-li dgaya-li ngaya. Nginnaayngu ngaar-gu Miinba-y Nganha. Gaa-gi Nginnaayngu dhuraay Yaanguuwii Dhuwi-Ga Ngaragay Bana-Ga. Burriin Ngaanawaa Nagaya galuma-li Ngaya-nginda. Ngama Yaanguuwii Ngaragay Balu Banma-li Gaga-li.
Ngama Yaanguuwii Ngaragay Balu, Wuu-rii nginda ngaragay Gaaguwi-y nginda. Balu-baa gamil nguruga Gaaguwi-y gun gan gamil. Baabi-li gamil ngaya-nginda. Gamil Yaanguuwii Dhuwi Ngaar. Gamil gii dhuruyaal. Gamil Ngadhangaa giliin. Ngama Yaanguuwii Ngaragay Balu, Wuu-rii nganha nhalay. Dhu-rri Nganha Yaanguuwii Dhuwi Ngaambi-li Ngaya-nginda.”

hello love, where do you buy your seeds?
I buy them from all over, but most of mine are from Etsy. Here are some shops online I source from:
UnusualSeeds is a really good shop for getting, well, unusual seeds. It does take a bit to get to the US since he’s located in Serbia.
Walawala Studio. The seeds are a bit more expensive than other shops, especially for the quantities, but they also have some unusual things and are domestic for North America buyers, so you’ll get your seeds more quickly if time is an issue.
Smart Seed Emporium is a more general seed store. They have a few unusual succulents, but they also have things like many food plant cultivars and flower-oriented plants. This is where my Aloe polyphylla’s seed came from!
Baker Creek Heirlooms is a more agriculturally-oriented shop for if you’re looking for interesting food crops.
Correction: it looks like Baker Heirloom seeds are crypto fascists and invited one of the whites supremacist guys who took over an East Oregon reserve.
Back to succulents and other ornamentals, Mesa Garden is another really good one! I got my Drimia intricata seeds from here.
I hope this helps!
