*tw: parental death* born to king edmund and queen alexis, rulers of the dark kingdom, horace eugene fitzherbert was meant to be a prince. but when an opal dropped down to their land and began to wreak havoc, the king had made the decision to destroy it. in a failed attempt to do just that, an event that ultimately killed horace's mother and destroyed the kingdom, the king had no choice but to send the citizens away for their own safety - including his infant son.

he grew up in an orphanage in corona and went by his middle name, eugene, although to this day he's under the impression it's his first and he has no middle. with nothing but his imagination to fill in the blanks of his past, eugene grew up to focus on helping the other kids at the orphanage and dream of his parents as heroes meant to come back from him when the time was right.

at seventeen, he escaped the orphanage and left a past he knew nothing about behind, adopting the moniker flynn rider (after his favorite storybook character) and went on to leave eugene fitzherbert and all of his undiscovered history behind.

life as flynn rider ;

the trials of adulthood came fast and flynn realized way too quickly just how much money and resources were needed for daily survival. he quickly adapted, however, when he found himself surrounded by people who could teach him how to do just that - by taking it himself.

this new life of theft got him in trouble, of course, the kingdom of corona eventually becoming littered with wanted posters that donned his gorgeous face. there was something exciting about this extended era of, well, running from the cops - but it catches up with him eventually. it's, in part, what makes him run to elias.

as soon as flynn gets to elias, he runs into reagan - a girl he had only met once before but managed to make a permanent impression on him all the same. when he found her unexpectedly, locked away in a tower - it turned into a 3-day adventure that started with an escape heist and ended in a lantern festival he could never forget. showed him a side of himself he never got a chance to see before. reuniting with the girl only brings that out in him again.

the move from corona to elias allows for a bit of a flynn rider soft reset. allows him to find the adventure without the risk of wanted posters flying around elias, too.

what's to come ;

at this time, flynn has no idea of his royal background. he had learned to accept, in his own way, that he wouldn't know about his birth parents or the life stripped from him when he was dropped off at the orphanage. he had created the story himself in his head and was okay with accepting that as fact. but soon, the truth behind the downfall of the dark kingdom will unveil itself. king edmund has been waiting on the right time to potentially revive the land. and when he does - the dark kingdom will need its prince.  // this will be updated later, but for now you can read about flynn learning of his lineage ( and not believing it ! ) here .

elsa fled to elias after her coronation. after a heated argument with her sister her powers were revealed to the citizens of corona.

since coming to elias she made friends with hades. elsa was unaware of his alliance with malfiencet. even when the monsters attacked she still sided with him finding a kinship in both of them being misunderstood. the god helped her with her powers. hades helped elsa realize there was beautiful in her magic not shame. she grew confident enough to remove her gloves.

her friendship with jack has also made her feel less alone in the world given his own ice powers.

her powers are still hidden from those she’s not close to. while elsa is more comfortable with her ice magic she still fears how others will react to her.

there is still so much she has yet to see and do after being hidden away for years. for the first time in her life she’s happy. as much as anna wants her to return to arendelle and be queen, elsa is content with the life she’s forging in elias.

since elsa was isolated for so many years and the gates of the kingdom were closed no one would know of her royal status unless they were royal themselves or lived in norway.

past

tw: elsa’s past mentions parental death & trauma.

born on the winter solstice to king agnarr and queen iduna, Elsa, was gifted with magical powers—the ability to control ice and snow—as a reward for her mother’s heroism when saving agnarr when they were teenagers. these powers would not manifest until she was three. Iduna was unaware of the origins of Elsa’s powers, but believed that they were born out of love and thus a gift rather than a curse since she was born from the union of an Arendellian and a Northuldran. She accepted her daughter’s uniqueness and correctly believed that Elsa was a gift from the forest’s spirits and born with her powers for a reason.

for years elsa used her powers mostly to entertain her younger sister anna. the two were close as can be. all was well until one night when elsa was merely eight years old she accidentally struck anna while playing with her. she struck anna in the head and knocked her out cold.

her parents sought help from the trolls. paddie, the shaman was able to cleanse anna of the magic, which included memories of elsa’s magic.

elsa was traumatized by the events. she almost killed her beloved sister.  after that night elsa was locked away in her room to keep herself safe but also anna. her father gifted her gloves that helped suppressed her powers. that’s where her mantra “conceal, don’t feel, don’t let it show” came from. for years elsa was distanced from others but instead of powers getting under control suppressing them only made them more unruly.

despite wanting elsa to conceal her powers, agnarr was optimistic that his daughter’s would learn to control her powers. her isolation was only temporary, however, the king and queen would never see the day elsa left her room. on the way to the celebration of the return of the lost princess in corona, the king and queen died. their ship was sunk due to extreme weather. distraught by their death, elsa lost control of her powers. she didn’t attend their funeral and after that elsa further isolated herself from anna.

three years after their passing elsa came of age to become queen of arendelle. it was the first time the gates would open to the public. it was the first time elsa would interact with anyone outside of her parents since she was eight. it wasn’t just the kingdom of arendelle but other neighboring kingdoms.  

the night was going well. elsa even reunited with anna. all the worries she had began to melt away that is until her sister asked for her blessing to marry prince hans of the southern isles. elsa insisted that anna could not marry a man she just met. the two begin to argue until elsa says the party is over and the gates be closed immediately. of course anna only continued to push which not only made elsa anxious she grew overwhelmed with frustration to the point she accidentally unleashed her powers on anna and the guests. horrified by what she had done and fearing how people would react to her, elsa fled arendelle until she found herself in a city called elias.  

future

elsa hasn’t had her ‘let it go’ moment yet so i would like to see that. she’s grown more confident yes but she hasn’t let go of anything. she still harbors a lot of anxiety and has yet to let her powers be seen to the public.

in the future, i want elsa to find out about the enchanted forest and her being the fifth spirit. eventually she’d be called forth to Ahtohallan and have her show yourself moment.

she would discover the truth about her parents, her family’s past and ties to the enchanted forest and know that her parents did love her. she would want to help bridge the Northuldra and the Arendellians.

i want elsa to heal from her trauma and realize she is not the monster she believes she is. she was a mere child who should have been given guidance instead of hidden away. she didn’t know any better.

like in frozen 2, she would give arendelle over to anna and leave to protect the enchanted forest. there she would find a sense of self and freedom.

i would hope she mends her relationship with anna. her mother knew that if anyone could help elsa with her powers it was her sister. healing will allow her to create a family of her own and hopefully do better for her kids than what she was given.

philip was sent to elias with his brothers by their father for their safety. they had come in disguise, trying to live out as normal people and told to lay low by his father but the charmonts are on the side of more notable royals given florian and philip’s time in the media.

he reunited with aurora, the girl he had met in the forest when he was eighteen and fell in love with. in a twist of fate it turns out that aurora and he were betrothed. they wasted no time marrying in a private ceremony after reuniting

a normal life is all philip has ever wanted and now he has been granted that with aurora. they live in a little bubble of bliss and while it might look selfish to others for philip to drop his duties as a prince to play house.

deep down he’s searching for purpose. outside of a prince, philip doesn’t really know who he is. from birth, there were expectations placed upon him. he feels as though he has not met any of them. mostly due to choice. he’s always wanted more in life. he wanted to be more, do more. who is he beyond the crown ? who is philip charmont actually to his core ?

he keeps the facade up that all is fine. philip is someone who would rather present that he’s happy to keep everyone from worrying about him even when he’s actually not okay. he does this because he’s been the mediator for his brothers for so long. in his mind, philip’s problems always felt miniscule compared to kit and florian’s. philip is in fact worried about what is to come.  he’s never doubted his skills until now. maleficent is powerful. philip fears he may not be strong enough this time.

he now has a job as a personal trainer at the achilles gym. it’s another piece of normality he’s collected. it’s also allowed him to begin being independant - earning his own way through the world and helping people in some way.

update 06/01/23: almost a year ago philip was cursed by maleficent with a sleeping spell. he was in a sleep coma for six months. it’s been a few months since he’s woken up. that doesn’t mean he’s processed the trauma of it. because of the institution he was raised that allowing space for emotions, philip has shoved down any feelings he has about the situation. he’s grinning and bearing it. faking it until he makes it because that’s what he was taught to do: smile and wave. of course ! this isn’t going to end well ! but alas !

past

the youngest of the charmont sons, he was expected to be just as perfect as his older brothers. however, philip was always wild. not in the same sense as florian was, but in the sense that he could never sit still. if you were ever looking for philip you would never find him where he needed to be. he was always out in nature, the stables or in town.

he doesn’t remember much of his mother her last few months. philip doesn’t know if that’s because his brother didn’t allow him to be around their mom when she was ill or because philip didn’t want to remember her like that. he only remembers the good.

he was close to his mother but not as close as florian. philip loves and respects his father but he knows that the king puts a bit more focus on kit given he’s the next in line for the throne. if he had to pick a parental figure he was closest to it would be kit. at times philip feels his older brother raised him more than their own father.

philip played middle man between his brother’s feud. he saw both sides and did what he could to ease tension in the castle.

philip was expected to be king of some kingdom. hubert was determined to marry off his sons. he had been betrothed to a princess in ylisse when he was young but after her disappearance it was broken off. leaving king hubert to find someone else for his son. philip would always turn away the girls his father had in mind for him. he wanted to marry for love not for status.

he never cared much for his royal status. philip was always gallivanting off to anything but his duties. he dreamed of a normal life. one where so much wasn’t expected of him. he wanted to go places without people knowing who he was or having these ideas about who he was as a person. he just wanted to be philip a regular guy. not philip charmont prince of ulstead.

their alliance with ylisse is what caused maleficent to threaten the kingdom of ulstead. philip fought his father on leaving. he begged the kingdom not to send them away. philip believed he could stay and fight. his father was weak, someone had to protect him and their people. it was kit who knocked sense into him and urged philip to listen to their father. he was sending them to elias for their protection. so he agreed to leave if only to ease the king’s mind but he wouldn’t leave without putting up a fight.

future

with being married to aurora, philip will have to learn to be king. something he never expected but something that was expected from him. it’s a new learning curve. in a way i hope it’ll bring him and kit closer since he’ll see what his brother had dealt with all along.

i want philip to realize that his purpose was right in front of him all along. he doesn’t need to go on grand adventures to make a name for himself to help and save people. although he shunned the idea of royalty for so long his status is what will help him be the hero he always wanted to be. using it for good and helping his people is how he will bring change. it will also i feel bring him peace to finally stop fighting with that part of himself.

lots of maturing for this guy. he lives in a fantasy and i love that about my sweet himbo but he still has a lot of growing up to do. it’s always been so easy for him to brush off his problems or not speak about them but i want philip to actually deal with his emotions, acknowledge them and stop putting others before himself. he deserves the happiness he fights for everyone else to have.

10.19.22: honestly, max is just trying to make it through the holiday season without something else bad happening. just give him a break. all he really wants is to vibe for a bit without having to figure out how to get rid of the sanderson sisters. he has spent so much time trying to find a way to solve his problems that he really does need a small break. or like. so he thinks.

past !

moving: max had everything before he was forced to move from his sunny california city to hallow falls. did he want to move? no. especially not in his senior year of high school. but it wasn’t his decision and he was allowed to mope about it. he was used to the vast variety of people in california, not the strange and unusual people who believed in witches in hallow falls. since his opinion on the holiday was much different than everyone else’s, he stuck out like a sore thumb. everyone in town knew it.

magic isn’t real: he’d be the first to tell you that witches weren’t real. the first to believe that the sanderson sisters weren’t real. he wasn’t afraid of his opinion, even if he was one of the few people in his town, and even his own sister was one to believe in the myths. so he did what anyone would do and he made fun of those people to a degree. max was arrogant and haughty about his opinion, instead of maybe believing that it could possibly be real.

the cabin: the night the sanderson sisters escaped, dani did what she did best and threw a fit to get him to go trick or treating with him. honestly, max knew that dani could go by herself, but she got her way that night and max followed his sister around, that night. only for it to turn out just alright when they knocked on his crush, allison’s door. after that, the three of them headed to the cabin where the sanderson sisters were supposed to have lived. 

black flame candle: of course it was hubris that max light the candle thinking that nothing would happen. he didn’t believe in witches and he was going to prove that they weren’t real. but the second he lit the candle, he knew that something was wrong. he was wrong. he knew he had been wrong. when the sanderson sisters appeared, max knew that he was wrong about his opinions. that dani and allison were right. or well, he didn’t think that right away. it wasn’t until a cat turned into a human that he truly believed it. but of course by then it was too late. the sanderson sisters were out, free, and planning on hurting children.

fixing the problem: so now, he’s on a whirlwind mission with his small ragtag group of people to fix the problem that he created by lighting that black flame candle. 

family: only max is allowed to tease dani. his family is important to him, even if he doesn’t say it that often enough. with what he’s going through, max is going to protect his sister and make sure that nothing bad ever happens to dani. he won’t tell her that, but that’s the only reason that he’s going after the sanderson sisters. also he really doesn’t want blood on his hands if they do start hurting children. but mostly, it’s for his sister. 

future !

obviously max needs to learn more about magic in order to defeat the sanderson sisters and save the children. he’s been proven wrong about magic, so he’s got to fix his mistake even if he doesn’t want to. part of this is going to have to be him learning to trust those around him and admit that he’s not always right. unfortunately, he’s not much of a research man. he’s a plan man, so he will leave the studying to allison and dani and help with coming up with ideas on getting rid of the sanderson sisters. so yes, eventually, it would be nice to fix the problem he solved, but it’s going to take effort.

max needs to learn to be more articulate with his feelings, including how he feels about his sister. it’d be nice to explore these sorts of feelings with other characters as well. he probably does think it’s obvious that he cares for his sister, but to the outsider, it probably doesn’t look that way. and it’s not that obvious to dani. it is something that he needs to work on. 

he needs to learn that he can be wrong. period. lighting the candle is the start of him learning this, but future plan is that he really learns that sometimes he doesn’t know what’s best and sometimes he needs to listen to people that are smarter than him and that’s okay. he doesn’t have to be the smartest person in the room or the one that knows everything. sometimes believing in the magic is just as important as proving that it doesn’t exist. it’s not exactly nice to make fun of people who don’t believe in the same thing that he does. so maybe he just needs to let people think what they want to about magic and leave it be.

Georgette is bitter. She’s in Elias because she has to be, not because she wants to be… and where she wants to be is her 5th Avenue penthouse in the city of her dreams living the life she was supposed to have after looking her mother in the eyes and telling the divorce lawyers that she would be staying with her father. The girl is in denial about all of her inner demons and that manifests itself in an ego the size of Manhattan. An ego that Jenny and Oliver (and now the whole of Elias) has to deal with. Georgette is supposed to be looking out for the pair as they navigate through university, but she’s more concerned with rebuilding her brand in a mysterious city that she knows nothing about. She went from holding New York in the palm of her hand to now having to start all over on the bottom of the Elias barrel. The girl is determined to show this city (and her new adoring fans) that she’s the cream of the crop and will always end up on top.

With a silver spoon in her mouth the moment she was born, Georgette inherited wealth and status without any examples of how not to abuse it. Especially with her father as a role model. She wanted for nothing and always had eyes on her… so naturally the more she grew, the more spoiled she became. Georgette ran with the elite of New York City and made sure everyone knew it. Her lifestyle revolved around money and luxury, and it began to drastically corrupt both her attitude and her identity. At the end of the day, the only person she ever felt like she could let her guard down around was her mother. Now, Georgette’s mother was by no means a saint. She wasn’t always around and wasn’t necessarily the best role model either; but to Georgette she was everything. Her mother knew all her fears, all her dreams, all her doubts— she was almost like a sister. Their connection was undeniable… until Georgette’s father forced her to choose between love or money.  That decision, as well as everything surrounding her father’s affair, brought out the worst in Georgette. How could her father choose the maid over herself and her mother?? And on top of that, he was slowly trying to be a better person because of them? Why couldn’t he be better for his actual family? Georgette quickly went from spoiled to all out rotten. For the first time in her life she felt inferior, so she made her father (and everybody else) feel the same in return. My hopes for Georgette’s future is for her to embrace who she truly is away from the money, the attitude and the limelight. Georgette has big dreams and actual talent that she suppresses in fear that she will fall from the top of her sky-high pedestal. Deep down, she wants to be more than the person she pretends to be. in his teens: 

kit stayed mainly within ulstead, finishing all his relevant studies. 

not really a party animal, not many close friends, was known as a very polite kid but kind of quiet and kept to himself

literally the one who like stays at home doing homework for the next school year.

smartest kid in school, valedictorian, all of that. started learning languages at this time, president of the academic decathlon, hehe

in his twenties:

kit studied his undergraduate degree in arts, while also commencing more rigorous royal studies to complement his duties. 

he also began training with the royal army and navy

it’s within this decade that his mother dies.

in his 20s-30s:

kit began to want more from life. always prepared, and very self-aware, he knew that in order to be the king/brother/son that his family needed, then he needed to make sure he was okay. 

his late 20s/early 30s was a time of self-reflection and soul-searching. he started to travel alongside his royal duties, learning as much as he could of the world and ‘living’ as much as he could before he stayed permanently within ulstead’s borders.

his travels took him all over the world, but he would not have stayed for more than 2 weeks somewhere before he came back to ulstead. 

he knew his father was preparing to pass the crown to him soon, and he wanted to be ready. 

marriage ???? no !!!

he finished his travels around age 34. but just because he stopped travelling, it didn’t mean he stopped learning. this man is the literal definition of ‘lifelong learning’. much to his father’s chagrin, he was still balancing time between princely duties and his personal passions. but no one could say that the royal court ever suffered, because kit was always on time and did his homework, providing substantial discussion etc.

he got along really well with his father, until it came to the marriage thing. 

he had to marry ??? what why ??? so that someone could take care of him ??? not right now ://

but then ella ....

you know the story. the beautiful maiden in the gorgeous dress, attending the royal ball in ulstead. no one knows who she is, but look! she’s caught the crown prince’s eye. who was she!

he’s not sure he fell in love, but he had never been more ready to fall in love than at that moment. he would have leapt into love for her.

now the charmonts are in elias. 

kit was the last one to leave ulstead. he understood the need to protect his brothers, but he couldn’t fathom why his father wanted him to escape too. who would be left to protect their kingdom? who would be the one to come up with a plan? his father’s aging advisors? that snivelly Grand Duke??

and by last to leave, i mean he left a few days after his brothers. he fought tooth and nail with his father that he should stay. tried every trick in the book. but eventually, he surrendered to his father’s desperation.

he’s been at elias now for at least a 1.5 years. he was there for the big battle with hades and maleficent (let’s just say he played a super small role and didn’t do much other than general fighting).

he lives in an apartment all by himself. and two cats: vienna & antoinette. they have lil cat backpacks.

he has no horse :(( he has a car here, but mainly rides his bike around elias. 

he spends his days doing a ‘work from home’ situation, still attending royal meetings and fulfilling his duties. things have recently become more difficult due to his father’s exhausted state. it’s hard to be semi-king of your kingdom when you’re an ocean away.

other things he does in elias:

volunteers time with different organisations, such as orphanages, homeless shelters, and fundraising events

he started the ‘chatty cafe’ in the community centre. on tuesday and thursday afternoons, you get to just sit and chat about anything, and there’s free coffee, tea, and snacks. kit is always there, without fail, to chat to anyone who needs it.

bit of a good samaritan around elias, just known for doing nice things like helping someone with their groceries, paying for the items of the people in the queue, getting a cat out of a tree hehe

kit has always done very well with like self care and all that. 

but being stuck in elias makes him restless. he’s not sure if he wants to make a life here. he’s got his cats, he’s got his hobbies, but it feels like the longest business trip in the world. and the worst part is, he’s not meant to act like a prince here.

they’re meant to be ‘in hiding’ technically, so he introduces himself as only ‘kit’. and it comes with its perks — he has to admit it’s a little freeing to now have that time he used to crave. the time to just be whoever he wanted to be. only it came a decade too late because he literally just got into the rhythm of being an almost-king in ulstead, and now he has to be .... HIDING ????

being in hiding from a witch, being kept away from his beloved home country .... this was NOT in his ten-year plan.

he’s so proud of being a prince, he loves his kingdom so much. WHY CAN’T HE JUST GO HOME !!!!!

on the family front: he and florian are tense atm (have been for a few years now), and ... kit doesn’t know how to fix it :((

stranger in need, is a friend indeed : kit doesn’t shy away from asking if someone needs assistance. there’s very little he can’t do. study help? yes. language help? yes. assistance with navigating forms and paperwork? YES. 

did someone say ... prince charming ? : similar to the above but more the ‘damsel in distress’ route hehe. here is literally prince charming. can end up hilarious, serious, dramatic, sad, you name it. not necessarily romantic. ( any gender !!! :3 )

despite the three of them being created at the exact same time, test tube babies in the most literal sense, the utonium triplets naturally filled roles that mimicked a certain birth order: beverly as the oldest, beatrix in the middle, and little miss brynne as the baby. it’s a dynamic that’s followed them to this day.

growing up, brynne liked to think of herself as a normal kid - even if her powers made her a little bit special. she thrived in school and joined lots of clubs, emerging herself in the full experience of being a typical american child. well, as best as she could.

the nickname ‘ bubbles ’ came from beatrix in childhood. when they were learning how to fly, brynne would float in the air, bouncing to and fro. trixie said it reminded her of a bubble, and the nickname stuck from then on. 

present ; 

brynne’s first big move towards independence happens when beatrix is still in townsville - she gets a job in the dietary department of the city of townsville memorial hospital. it’s a great way to meet people, earn some money on her own, and still help the city of townsville ! everyone has to eat, especially sick people ! 

when that job doesn’t work out (more about that can be found here) brynne redirects her sights on nursing school. her goal is to redirect her life, immerse herself fully in the college experience, and hopefully find herself along the way. 

future ;

for now, i can see brynne finding a life in elias and settling down here in adulthood, working her way up as a nurse at the medical center or hospital. as of 10/22 she’s a brand new baby so i haven’t put a whole lot of thought into her future. more to come !

present !!

walt academy was the main draw for marinette. hours researching in her bedroom with her best friend, countless mental breakdowns over what was the right decision, they all brought her to one singular school. sure, it’s no institut français de la mode, but she’d tried that and failed miserably. apparently, multitasking isn’t exactly appreciated when you’re expected to earn your place among the greats with exceptional work every single week. and being a superhero was quite a taxing second job, or at that point, a second life for marinette. it had become impossible to combine the two, and together they threatened to destroy her. her friends noticed, and pulled her out. at first, she wasn’t even sure another school would be the right choice for her; after all, being ladybug and protecting paris from evil was her main purpose in life, but marinette had never chosen anything for herself, only ever for the good of the people around her. despite how difficult it was to believe, it was time for her to choose marinette for once.

so walt academy it was. she left behind her old life ( well, sort of. she brought her superhero alter-ego with her, because you never know when a shouted ‘spots on !’ can come in handy in the middle of an unknown country, state, and city ) and packed up her things. it was stressful, but she knows in the end everything will probably be worth it. and if not, at least she can say honestly that she tried her best. she just has to learn to navigate her new life, and to accept that it’s okay if she fails again. there’s no harm in that. but hey, try telling that to someone who has told themselves for over ten years that she needs to be perfect no matter the costs, or people get hurt.

now in elias, marinette once again holds down a parttime job while studying ( and occasionally scouting the rooftops for trouble ), but things are much more manageable than they were. with expert counselling and understanding professors, there’s a nice balance for her and easy adjustments to make. but still, she’s not sure if this is the right place for her. she might not ever be.

past !!

marinette’s life truly began at the age of thirteen. it was an incredibly young age to be burdened with saving the capital city of france, if not sometimes the world, but she bravely shouldered it for the good of everyone. an old man gave her a pair of spotted earrings, and just like that her world had changed. she was now the holder of the ladybug miraculous of creation, the power to restore evil done. but every action has its equal and opposite reaction, and creation cannot exist without destruction. so ladybug had her partner against crime, chat noir. and things were well.

with powerups, upgrades and friends who tagged along on their adventures when the dynamic duo needed a bit of help, things, in fact, were well for a long time. evil remained, but the miraculous gang was able to keep it in check and save the citizens of paris time and time again. everyone casually overlooked the fact that it was a bunch of children saving them, of course, or it was the magic of the miraculous. no one knew. 

eventually, everyone completed their end of year exam and graduated, including marinette. now an adult, she had choices to make, and went with the one she pressured herself into; fashion school in paris. it was the most obvious choice for her, with her outstanding designs that caught the eye of gabriel agreste himself. things went well for the first few weeks; she observed many of the great minds of fashion, saw how they worked and took interesting classes she actually enjoyed. but the first two assessment periods gave marinette a much-needed reality check; she could not continue being ladybug while turning in less-than-mediocre work at the single most prestigious fashion institute in the world. dividing her time between working her ass off to barely pass classes and literally saving the city was taking a toll on her performance in both fields, and she broke down. finally, she made the decision for herself and came to walt academy for a fresh start.

she’s retained much of her childhood self after her reality checks, mainly her insecurity. things at walt are easier, but there will always be that looming threat of failure due to her past experiences in paris. her sense of determination and independence also hasn’t gone away, coupled with the fact that she still hides half of her life from the world. thankfully, she’s learned to be less clumsy ( thank you, etiquette lessons ) and to keep her explosive anger in check... somewhat. it’s something that sticks with you after being judge, jury and executioner for so long. 

future !!

i’d like for marinette to build a new life in elias. i don’t want her to forget her roots, because paris will always be close to her heart, but that sense of a second home would be ideal. though she hides it, her heart is still pretty set on adrien, but you never know ! i’m open to any and all connections for her. i want her to have some success in the fashion industry, to see her hard work paid off, but ultimately it’ll be a toss-up between her passions; baking with her family, designing with the greats, and fighting crime with her partners. 

of course, success cannot come with at least a few failures, and no one becomes a star overnight. marinette is far from done with learning from her mistakes and she needs to make a few more to discover who she is; because that’s what this journey is truly about.

sadie is here for one reason and one reason only; her brothers. the teagues are thick as thieves -- literally -- and no one is able to come between them. it’s hard to seperate people that bonded through trauma; first the wounds inflicted by their father, then by orion bartholomew. they stepped from the frying pan into the fire when it came to father figures. they had to hold onto each other, and due to their shared experiences, anyone on the outside was mistrusted immediately. in elias, this lack of trust in anyone but themselves is still very much present. sadie is a firm believer in not needing anyone else, in being fine with just the three of them, and anyone willing to take away her brothers is seen as a threat. without their mother, sadie stepped into the maternal role, trying to take care of logan and beckham as best as she can, but it’s pretty clear that she’s nowhere near ready to do so. from messed up meals saved by takeout and ordering in, to messily stitched up wounds that get infected easily because she did not clean them thoroughly enough.

she’s taken two jobs to support herself, was fired from one and is threatening to get fired from the other. turns out that customer service is not her strong point, but she can get away with more as a bartender than she could as a waitress. but what does she have to put on her resumé? dabbling in the occult, being a professional cat lady, terrorising children with scary masks even when it’s not halloween? she had to face the facts and realise that she had little to nothing to offer the world outside of hallow falls. she could no longer rely on her family to put bread on the table, so she took the first few jobs she found. but waitressing was not it (apparently, telling a customer to fuck off and get a life in response to ‘can i talk to your manager’ was not appropriate in a restaurant setting), and bartending is difficult. so she found something she was good at. 

the escort life isn’t glamorous, not in the slightest, but it pays. enough to feed the three of them, enough to have a little place to receive her clients, enough to be able to stop worrying about whether their electricity or water supply will be turned off next. so no, she’s not happy, but she’s satisfied, and that’s what matters. she has her cat (that she definitely did not reanimate after his death and restore to life. definitely not. he’s just old, it’s just a silly rumor), her books and her brothers. they’re all she needs.

PAST !!

sadie, like her two brothers, was born to carrie teague, a human, and jason teague, a demon. of course, she’d only had one brother at the time, as she came after beckham and logan came after her, but of their parentage there was no doubt. from birth, it was firmly established that the three of them could not simply be fully human. their mother was too kind, too angelic, to wonderful to have spawned those three menaces with another man, and their father was too terrible, too disgusting, too brutal to have birthed those three children with a sliver of goodness in their heart on his own. no one bothered to tell the three of them, though. so they remained in the dark, believing their mistakes were their own fault rather than their father’s.

just like her brothers, sadie had great potential. her powers manifested early on; she felt most comfortable near graveyards, talking to her friends that people around her (even in hallow falls) deemed imaginary, with a good book, her cat, and her army of ghosts. at first, they just talked to her, nudged her in the right direction and demanded a listening ear. but as she grew older, she started to refuse to listen. rebellious teenagers had problems with authority figures, and sadie was no different. whenever a ghost tried to demand something from her -- a way to help them move on, to use her as a vessel, to let their story be heard -- she refused, and it took its toll on her. she needed to be in control, but they wouldn’t let her, and whenever she lost focus for a moment, they appeared, and became visible to all, not just sadie. she’d been using her powers to keep them at bay and to protect other people from them, but it was getting harder and harder. the beings from the other side were demanding, and were now out for revenge. still, if she focused, if she stayed in control, things were fine.

actually, things were most definitely not fine. from a childhood spent hiding from an angry father and gravitating naturally towards her mother’s arms for comfort, towards the kind bookseller’s shop with little nooks to hide with her cat, to teenage years spent anxiously patching up her wounds -- and her brothers’, running away from home more times than she could count -- and always coming back for the other members of her family, to adolescence following her brothers around to a new town with new people to terrify and terrorise, to safely explore her options when it comes to her powers. but maybe that’s not what she wants anymore -- though a lifetime of sin is hard to unlearn, especially if she’s not sure what she wants.

FUTURE !!

since she dropped out of high school, walt university hasn’t been an option for sadie. elias is a place to run away to, not to settle down and have a life. but that’s what’s currently happening, as her brothers seem to have found their place and they don’t seem very hell-bent on leaving anytime soon. she’s here because of them, and because of her mother’s explicit wishes. 

so maybe she finds a reason or two to stay. a purpose, a desire. she’s a blank slate with a disturbing past, and will do anything to make sure her future is as far from bleak and blank as possible. she doesn’t have the best reputation, despite her best efforts to control it, but has no problem lying and cheating her way back into people’s good graces. needless to say, that doesn’t always work.

The excitement wore off eventually of exploring this new world. The continual cycle of school and work and school and work quickly grew boring. Vanellope had earned enough to buy herself a car and has been taking to practicing her trick driving on the backroads around Elias. But competing against herself is also becoming boring. 

Vanellope loves Ralph, her big brother and hero, but craves someone to mentor her into an adult in this new world, to help her find purpose. 

And recently, Vanellope has started to notice the dating scene around them. What would it be like to kiss, to fall in love, to be someone's one and only in the most intimate way possible?

Growing up in Sugar Rush wasn't everything it was cracked up to be. Without their memories of the good times in their game, before Turbo overthrew their throne, Vanellope's view of their homeland are pretty tainted with bullying and loneliness. 

Meeting Ralph was probably the first time she felt like someone was looking at her for who she was, not just a glitch or a mistake.  

Waking up on the pavement with lightning and monsters all around sent Vanellope into a glitching fit, even as they tried to drag Ralph to safety. Those first moments in Elias still haunt them, the split second moment of terror that Ralph may have died in the transfer and left them alone in this strange new land. 

Of course, the big oaf was fine, just knocked out from the change to the real world. 

In the past two years since they first appeared on the street, Ralph and Vanellope have been living in an apartment together. 

Vanellope enrolled in Walt University to study () and learn if there was a way to control her glitching power. To help support them, Vanellope also got a job at ()

ian moved to elias, california ( originating from new mushroomton, oregon ) with his older brother barley in february 2021 in search of the phoenix gem, a stone that holds the ability to bring back the lightfoot boys’ late father for one day. the catch is that they only have a certain amount of time to find the gem and complete the spell, and time is ticking fast. 

in the midst of ian and barley’s search, filled with months of dead ends and unanswered question, hades literally unleashed monsters onto the city of elias and ian was a beat down pretty badly during that mess ( we did this sort of dnd style and i kept rolling twos ... you do the math, friends ). this was an event that was a key marker in priority shifts. you start to think of things a little differently when you almost die. 

in the months following, barley settled into california life way more easily than ian did. the younger lightfoot recognized that easily as he struggled to 1) learn about his abilities and potential as a wizard, 2) continued to come up answerless when it came to the ticking time bomb that was the phoenix gem and .... potentially meeting the sprit of his dad, and 3) dealt with the aftermath of moving to a new state and almost immediately getting brutally attacked by a monster. ( there’s no one to blame here, just how the cards were dealt - but the disparity is probably what lead to the following events. )

ian was getting restless as they stayed too long in one spot, convinced that there was no way the gem was in elias if they hadn’t found it yet, but had gotten to the point where he felt bad asking barley to leave. ian had never seen his older brother so happy - he had found a place here with friends and a girlfriend - but they were on a time crunch and still on a mission, so ian made the decision to leave without his brother with the idea that barley could stay in his happy bubble in elias and ian would return once he found the gem. 

barley did not see ian’s departure the same way. this is something they’ve yet to hash out.

ian’s been staying in new mushroomton for a few months with his mom and got a job at mantercorn tavern in attempt to find out more about the phoenix gem. when ian and barley first found out about the spell that would bring back their dad, they visited the tavern and ian always thought that there was some information being hidden there. 

he was right, because  - while he was originally mistaken by thinking the phoenix gem wasn’t in elias - he managed to find a map of the city that would point him directly to the mouse estate. the mayor was in possession of the phoenix gem the whole time.

in an intricate heist that probably took longer than it should have, after convincing his boss to let him train the staff at the new elias location of the bar, ian stole the map and is currently on a side quest to give it to barley. operation: get the phoenix gem is back in action. 

important: ian is currently working in elias on the weekends and new mushroomton on the weekdays to train staff in elias and still cover his shifts at home. he is currently only in elias friday afternoon through monday morning and goes home the rest of the week.

i'm v bad at summarizing things efficiently so for the next few sections i'm just going to make some Key Bullet Points !! i'll try to keep it brief but i can always elaborate on things !!

thackery came to elias for one purpose: to stop the sanderson sisters from claiming more innocent lives. he has to, for emily's sake. except he doesn't exactly know where they are or how, precisely, to stop them. he's working on it, okay?

which brings us to bullet point two !! most part of the reason thackery decided to take a job as a librarian is that he can spend his extra time (perhaps even some time on the clock, when it's less busy) doing research. it isn't unusual to stumble across thackery with a pile of occult books scattered about him.

thackery is trying not to allow himself to get comfortable because he knows that it's important to stay on his guard but it is a little difficult not to fall into a reliable routine when you stay in one place long enough. on days when he's not working or otherwise in the library, thackery finds that he likes to be outside. sometimes wandering, sometimes reading, but always outside. he's not sure if his affinity for the outdoors is the feral feline in him or the farmboy.

he finds that he's a bit more nocturnal than the average fellow, which can be a bit inconvenient. especially in someone who hasn't had to have a set/proper sleep schedule for centuries. he does tend to get a bit drowsy mid-afternoon and it isn't unusual for him to take afternoon naps in the sun on his days off.

thackery's always been very family-oriented and he knows he owes that to the love and warm environment his parents raised him and his sister in.

growing up, he always helped his father with the farm work - tending to animals and crops alike. in his free time, thackery could be found climbing trees and reading books.

he was always book smart, reading whatever books he could find or borrow.

emily, his little sister, was always an important part of his life. she often tried to tag along with thackery when he'd wander off, much to his and his mother's dismay. his mother tried to give her tasks to keep her busy and thackery often tried to scold her for following after him but neither ever really discouraged her much. it didn't help that thackery would let her hang around with him for a bit before walking her back home.

after that fateful night in 1693, thackery still kept an eye on his parents from afar. the heavy weight of guilt and ache of sorrow that settled in his chest was nearly unbearable and it made the years pass ever so slowly.

although those feelings never really lessened, thackery focused his energy into planning. planning for how to keep the sanderson sisters' curse from coming to fruition. coming up with various situations and brainstorming ways to divert attention from the accursed candle.

unfortunately, one cannot plan for every situation and, much to his dismay, the candle was lit by an airheaded boy trying to impress a girl.

to assume that thackery will defeat the sandersons once and for all seems a bit much - especially if it would lead to his soul being free and him moving on. but i would like to see him forgive himself a bit. not fully - i know that's a lot to ask in a situation like this and i know he'll never Fully let go of that guilt unless emily herself communicates that she forgives him somehow but. he deserves to give himself a little break. to cut himself some slack sometimes and not be so hard on himself, y'know?

maybe some romance? it's not like he's Looking for that sort of thing and being demiromantic/sexual it's not a given for him nor is it something he really feels he needs but he is a man with a good heart and if it were to happen naturally at some point i think that would be nice for him. or maybe that's just the hopeless romantic in me gsjdhsjk

BIOGRAPHY:

For Velma, being the smartest one of the group has always been painful. There has always been an immense amount of pressure on her shoulders to be perfect, have the perfect plan and basically solve everything. Being the daughter of one Harvard legacy is bad enough but for Velma she’s the daughter of two and because of that her parents expect so much from her. Her father, Dale Dinkley, is a biochemist while her mother, Angie, is a Neurologist. So from the moment Velma was brought into the world she was expected to be nothing but the best. when the Dinkley’s decided to relocate to Coolsville, Velma was about five at the time. Her parents were at first oblivious to the towns horror culture and urban legends that surrounded it. Once they found out they decided to take advantage of Coolsville’s history and squeeze every penny out of the gullible people in the town. Thus, causing them to open the Coolsville spook museum. It was a little side project they ran. The Dinkley’s weren’t about to completely give up their hard earned paychecks for a bunch of ghost stories. While Velma was taught to think everything through with hard facts and science, as a child she did believe in ghosts. When her parents thought she was studying Velma was actually reading up on the history of the town and the paranormal. It’s safe to say she grew a bit of an obsession. Velma tried her best to hide her love for everything spooky but that all went downhill after her mother found one of her ghost story books while cleaning her room. The Dinkley’s immediately searched Velma’s room retrieving and disposing of all those pointless books, telling their daughter that she needed to focus on reality and not fiction. That was a hard pill for Velma to swallow.

Luckily for the girl, when she entered middle school she found a group of people who were a little different like herself. Freddy, Shaggy and Daphne were the only people who would talk to Velma and she was actually very grateful for that fact. By some miracle they all believed there was more to Coolsville than met the eye and formed a strong bond over that. They spent all their time together going on adventures. The friendship they had was unbreakable. At least, when they were kids it was. As they got older they started to drift a part. Velma started to grow a distaste for Freddy. He would always act like he was the one with all the brilliant ideas and never give credit where it was due. She was the one who came up with all the plans and she was tired of playing second fiddle to Freddy because he was the ‘pretty boy’ leader. Although Daphne was her best friend, Velma hated the constant comparisons between the two of them. She understood that she as popular or even as rich as Daphne but she was tired of people labeling her the nerdy, frumpy sidekick. She was just as amazing as Daphne, hell she was probably better than her and Freddy combined. So when high school hit and they all drifted apart for good, Velma wasn’t too sad about the losses. 

In high school Velma stayed at the top of her class, got the best grades all around and was even president of the engineering club. In her spare time she sometimes helped give tours at the museum. The enthusiasm she once had for ghosts was gone by that time. without the gang to keep her belief alive she let her parent’s words sway her into now thinking all the paranormal she once believed was fake. Velma was a shell of the girl she once was. The love for learning was sucked out of her. she was constantly just going through the motions until she finally graduated from Harvard. Her life had become stale, that is until Freddy Jones, of all people, came to her asking if she wanted to get the gang back together for a special case. For a second she wanted nothing to with the gang but then Velma thought long and hard about it. These three people were the only ones who ever truly accepted her. Sure, times had changed drastically, but being there with them again for a moment, a little bit of the old Velma came back. Her fire was reignited and Velma Dinkley was about to go solve one of the biggest mysteries to date: the mystery of Coolsville itself. With her laptop in tow she headed for Elias. They’d need her brains anyway. plus while solving cases she’d be able to leave her overbearing parents for a bit and figure out what she wanted in life for once.

Velma is more than meets the eye. Yes, she is a bet self-centered about her intellect, but due to being compared to Daphne for so long she has a bit of insecurities when it comes to her physical looks; She often times than not, picks herself apart when she looks in the mirror. This makes her adversed to physical comments/compliments and thoroughly favors those who note her intellect and life accomplishments as opposed to surface-level aspects. Velma is always thinking ahead; Having plans A-Z outlined before someone could even pitch an idea. Lately, she’s finally getting back to the lively part of herself due to Fred wanting to get the group back together. Though this is exciting to her, she also is a bit worried about having to go back to being second best around Daphne. Ultimately, Velma is very confident in her mental ability, and often times than not will try asserting her position above others through her intellect. penelope grew up an only child to richard and emiliy hainline. the world knew her as their pride and joy, but, if you had asked penelope she would not say the same.

richard was an attorney and her mother a retired model and socialite. they lived in a luxurious home in manhattan where penelope had to want for not. the girl was spoiled with many materialistic items yet her parents failed to show her affection.

the main person who raised penelope was her nanny. her nanny was an older woman by the name of pamela, she took care of penny as if she was her own. penny loved the woman more than anyone. she was there throughout everything in the young blonde’s life.

penelope never saw herself as different as a child. she was just a loud ball of energy. of course she was a little chunkier than her fellow pageant contestants but she was just as good if not better in her mind. it wasn’t until high school when she realized maybe she was different. her classmates began to call her miss piggy as a diss to her weight.

it made penelope extremely self conscious but she didn’t think it was that bad the coolest guy in school had a crush on her after all... and eventually asked her to prom. she thought life was looking up. he made her feel cool and that none of those people matter.

it wasn’t until the fateful evening of prom when she was crowned prom queen and her fellow students decided to pull a full on carrie and dump blood all over her that she realized she was just a part of a big joke. after that day she vowed to never let anyone treat her in such a way. she changed everything about herself. she lost weight and made new friends. she was going to be the one ruining lives not the other way around.

elsa fled to elias after her coronation. after a heated argument with her sister her powers were revealed to the citizens of corona. 

since coming to elias she made friends with hades. elsa was unaware of his alliance with malfiencet. even when the monsters attacked she still sided with him finding a kinship in both of them being misunderstood. the god helped her with her powers. hades helped elsa realize there was beautiful in her magic not shame. she grew confident enough to remove her gloves.

her friendship with jack has also made her feel less alone in the world given his own ice powers.

her powers are still hidden from those she’s not close to. while elsa is more comfortable with her ice magic she still fears how others will react to her.

born on the winter solstice to king agnarr and queen iduna, Elsa, was gifted with magical powers—the ability to control ice and snow—as a reward for her mother’s heroism when saving agnarr when they were teenagers. these powers would not manifest until she was three. Iduna was unaware of the origins of Elsa’s powers, but believed that they were born out of love and thus a gift rather than a curse since she was born from the union of an Arendellian and a Northuldran. She accepted her daughter’s uniqueness and correctly believed that Elsa was a gift from the forest's spirits and born with her powers for a reason.

for years elsa used her powers mostly to entertain her younger sister anna. the two were close as can be. all was well until one night when elsa was merely eight years old she accidentally struck anna while playing with her. she struck anna in the head and knocked her out cold. 

her parents sought help from the trolls. paddie, the shaman was able to cleanse anna of the magic, which included memories of elsa’s magic. 

elsa was traumatized by the events. she almost killed her beloved sister.  after that night elsa was locked away in her room to keep herself safe but also anna. her father gifted her gloves that helped suppressed her powers. that’s where her mantra “conceal, don’t feel, don’t let it show” came from. for years elsa was distanced from others but instead of powers getting under control suppressing them only made them more unruly.

despite wanting elsa to conceal her powers, agnarr was optimistic that his daughter’s would learn to control her powers. her isolation was only temporary, however, the king and queen would never see the day elsa left her room. on the way to the celebration of the return of the lost princess in corona, the king and queen died. their ship was sunk due to extreme weather. distraught by their death, elsa lost control of her powers. she didn’t attend their funeral and after that elsa further isolated herself from anna.

three years after their passing elsa came of age to become queen of arendelle. it was the first time the gates would open to the public. it was the first time elsa would interact with anyone outside of her parents since she was eight. it wasn’t just the kingdom of arendelle but other neighboring kingdoms.  

the night was going well. elsa even reunited with anna. all the worries she had began to melt away that is until her sister asked for her blessing to marry prince hans of the southern isles. elsa insisted that anna could not marry a man she just met. the two begin to argue until elsa says the party is over and the gates be closed immediately. of course anna only continued to push which not only made elsa anxious she grew overwhelmed with frustration to the point she accidentally unleashed her powers on anna and the guests. horrified by what she had done and fearing how people would react to her, elsa fled arendelle until she found herself in a city called elias.  

future !!

elsa hasn’t had her ‘let it go’ moment yet so i would like to see that. she’s grown more confident yes but she hasn’t let go of anything. she still harbors a lot of anxiety and has yet to let her powers be seen to the public. 

in the future, i want elsa to find out about the enchanted forest and her being the fifth spirit. eventually she’d be called forth to Ahtohallan and have her show yourself moment.

she would discover the truth about her parents, her family’s past and ties to the enchanted forest and know that her parents did love her. she would want to help bridge the Northuldra and the Arendellians.

i want elsa to heal from her trauma and realize she is not the monster she believes she is. she was a mere child who should have been given guidance instead of hidden away. she didn’t know any better. 

like in frozen 2, she would give arendelle over to anna and leave to protect the enchanted forest. there she would find a sense of self and freedom. 

i would hope she mends her relationship with anna. her mother knew that if anyone could help elsa with her powers it was her sister. healing will allow her to create a family of her own and hopefully do better for her kids than what she was given.
