Day 24 of #40days40outfits She is back! My sister from another mister, the bff, the person who is always there, she is back from her travels to Brazil. I'm happy that she is back and I can hug her again (and again and again). At the same time I feel sad that she couldn't/wouldn't stay longer in Brazil. #miniretosdeorden PRENDAS AISLADAS. Es esa ropa que un buen día te compraste por su diseño,su color o su precio y que ,finalmente,has acabado por no ponerte. Esas 👚👚👚prendas que están (en lo que yo llamo) grupo 3 de frecuencia de uso ( vamos lo que no te pones ni de coña😂 y está haciendo bulto en el armario). ¿Lo solucionamos?. 1⃣Toma una decisión sobre ella, o se queda o se va. 2⃣Si has decidido que se queda, tómate un rato para observar con que puedes combinarla de lo que tienes en el armario. Ya sabes lo recomendable es poder hacer 2 o 3 combinaciones con cada prenda. 3⃣Si no hay nada o casi nada piensa bien con que te gustaría coordinarlo y con esa idea clara vete a comprar. 4⃣Recuerda que es importante saber qué colores y formas nos encajan mejor para ahorrarnos tiempo y dinero😁. 5⃣Para evitar tener prendas aisladas debes cambiar tus hábitos de consumo. 6⃣No compres para ,después, pensar con que lo combinas. Piensa que prenda necesitas y después compra. Tener un armario consciente donde sabes que tienes,donde lo tienes y que necesitas para que siga amoldado a ti conlleva revisar costumbres de compra. Some Thursday thoughts: • my #wardrobechallenge has actually been going really well! I thought this would be super stressful but it’s actually been fun to mix up the clothes I already have. 10 x 10 Winter Challenge

This winter wardrobe challenge was to style only 10 pieces 10 different ways.  1: Black sweater dress brown booties

2: Floral top layered over black sweater dress tall boots

3:Flannel and slim black pants, black booties

4: I have my jeans on here with beige booties. 

5: Flannel top, grey slacks, black booties

6: Jeans with floral top and black booties.

7: White top with  jeans. I had to wear cooler sandals it was 80 degrees. My only deviation and to no surprise it was my shoes.  

8: Floral top with grey slacks

9: Black pants with floral top

10: White top with black pants and black booties.

This was a fun challenge and I likely would not have worn the flannel with the grey pants if not the challenge but it did provide me with another option that I was quite comfortable in.  It’s a reminder to keep mixing and trying to find new ways to wear pieces.  It’s great for light packing on a trip.  10 pieces would easily fit in a carry on with toiletries. 

I’m looking forward to getting back to the rest of my wardrobe.  I am someone that has a lot going on with different activities so I don’t get rid of much in my closet.  I do keep it well organized and I like to keep certain activities separate such as snowboarding trips, boating days, golfing, etc.  I did this challenge as a way to mix it up more and shop my closet.

SOLUCIONES QUE FUNCIONAN. Hay soluciones que mejoran la gestión del espacio y por ,consiguiente,del tiempo. Como puede ser la del doblado en vertical. Pero,si queremos que esta solución nos funcione a largo plazo, con anterioridad debemos decidir que cosas necesitamos quedarnos y que no. Porque si no lo hacemos sería como empezar la casa por el tejado. Esta técnica no es mágica por si misma. Es cierto que se aprovecha bien el espacio y se ve todo lo que tenemos a simple vista. Pero, para que se mantenga con facilidad ordenado hay que tener en cuenta qué cantidad de prendas caben en los cajones sin apreturas. Taking a page out of the great @faganchelsea’s book and doing a #wardrobechallenge to kick off the year. Rules are: • can only wear outfit combinations I haven’t worn before • not allowed to buy any new clothes during the challenge (sorry @blondie.boutique 🤣) • emphasis on actually wearing things in my closet I haven’t worn before. If something still remains unworn after the 30 days, then that’s a sign I need to get rid of it* • *obviously some conditions on this. Summer clothes are exempt from the challenge (because lol winter). Special occasion outfits will also be looked at separately. • Doing this for a couple reasons: 🔅 fun way to get out of my “wear the same 5 things over and over again” rut 🔅 effective way of evaluating my closet: I know I need to reduce the amount of clothes I own, but this makes getting rid of stuff easier 🔅 cost effective way of mimicking that “new outfit” feeling • There will be a blog post to follow up on this for sure • Today’s #ootd: some OGs from @blondie.boutique that I actually haven’t worn together. Fun fact: I’ve been avoiding wearing this gorgeous white body suit because I had it in my head that I looked massive (aka FAAAT) in it. Nice little champaign pant fixed that fear right up.
