This roleplay features feral cats living wild in the Adirondack Mountain Range. Everyday activities including hunting small to medium animals, possibly fending off small to large threats, cats being born + possibly not surviving long after, and cats recieving varying injuries, contracting varying sicknesses, or even losing their lives in tragic ways. All things will be handled with grace, and the roleplay is designed to be balanced rather than leaning toward good or bad events, but you will not be able to avoid these themes upon joining.

What is Stars Split?

Stars Split is a WCRP set in Scotland. Years after Skyclan joined the clans, a great tragedy shook the world, and supernatural creatures began to invade. The cats begged Starclan for help, and they gave it in the form of doctors, cats with the ability to see past the supernatural facade.

Years have passed and the five clans have become two, Rumbleclan and Marshclan. They live in a constant struggle for their lives. While they try to push back the supernatural and remain safe, a nearby group of loners has made a name for itself. The Cluster, this group believes that Starclan is actually evil and the fae are to be lived amongst.

Twenty-five season cycles have passed since the creation of the five kins— Wind, Thunder, River, Shadow, and Sky. In those many moons, they each found their own culture and traditions. Surrounded by the forces of nature, the mystical Fae courts, and the elusive spirits of StarKin, morale is high and beliefs stay strong. As fate foretold, the Kins have found strength in unity. But not everyone agrees. With the introduction of a newly appointed, impulsive, and brash leader of SkyKin named Star Mushroombloom, old tensions have risen to the surface. She strives for power and respect her Kin has never had, and she will do everything in her power to get it. Meanwhile, a group of ShadowKin cats have begun experimenting with dark forces. Differences in religion have begun to divide WindKin. ThunderKin has found its strength in trade with a bold potential, and RiverKin’s royal family holds onto a controversial secret. How long will peace last?

THE FIVE KINS is a Discord-based WCRP with an 18+ (sfw) demographic, based on a larger rewrite/AU of the Warrior Cats series. Our focus is semi-literate with opportunities for more casual approaches like script style included. We are application-based and spectators are allowed.

When we accept people into the server, there will be a time before we officially start the RP, a beta test if you will, so people can get to know each other, get to know the mechanics and format, and brainstorm their characters. There will be several high ranks open, but they will be audition-based. It will be encouraged to develop your character(s) before considering a high rank; we will do a test/prequel run where the remaining high ranks will be filled by NPCs before officially selecting who gets what.

The Veil of Rain

The patron of the Healers and the Season of Rain is the Veil. The most melancholic and compassionate of the deities, she is said to be constantly weeping for those whom medicine could not save. Despite mostly being portrayed as exceedingly kind, the Veil is also respected as a deity capable of fearsome power, and is believed to be the source of the damaging storms and floods that can occur during her season. The Veil watches over the realm of medicine, as well as the element of water. It is said that the tears and drops of water that fall from her body become the rain that nourishes the herbs used by the Kith’s Healers, so that others may be saved from illness and injury. Sometimes characterized as a maternal figure, she is also believed to watch over kits in particular. Cats who hold the Veil as their Minor Deity tend to be wise, well-intentioned, and capable of acting under pressure. However, they are also prone to being overly sensitive and experiencing vast sways in emotion, and may struggle with inward reflection.

The Divine Prosperity

pros·per·i·ty /präˈsperədē/ noun the state of being prosperous.

Deity of Water, Patron of Wisdom and Harmony

Colloquially known as Tugging Current, Prosperity is the favored deity of the Clowder.

A gentle and wise cat, Tugging Current provokes a sense of peace amongst their followers through their benevolent demeanor. They are soft-pawed and kind-hearted, and are often depicted in stories to be an almost parental figure to the Clowder.

They are rarely seen physically by the Clowder. Instead, they often like to visit their followers dreams, either to pass on praise or a message or to simply visit unseen to observe the other's state of mind. Despite not being commonly seen, their presence is heavily felt amongst the Clowder.

Amongst whom they deem friends as well as the other deities, however, Tugging Current can be more commonly described as loud and mischievous. They are extremely outgoing and love to have a good time; due to this, they are good friends with the Divine Liberty. However, despite their goofy and bubbly personality, Tugging Current is also known to have a temper. While generally the type to try and keep the peace, they also have a very intense moral compass; while it isn't easy at all to make them truly angry, their anger is a tempest that will leave wrongdoers shipwrecked.

Tugging Current is also commonly referred to as a god of healing, be it mental or physical. While not their official domain, Tugging Current has become locally known as the patron saint of healers and artists, or any of those who use the ocean and the Divine's teachings as a way to find relief. They are also known as the entity of spring, the bringer of rain, and the spirit of the moon.

To those who are having trouble creating their own character, or would like to have a character with some involvement in the loner groups, we have made six adoptables for potential members! Three adoptables will go to the Wayfarers, a group of spiritual clan descendants bound for MountainClan. Three more will be a part of the Colony, a group of revolutionaries heading to TimberClan.

Adoptable applications will be open from Sunday, May 28th, 2023 until 11:59pm MST on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. Original character applications will close on Sunday, June 11th for those that did not make the adoptable opening and would still like to apply.

You may apply for adoptable applications, general applications, or both. Each person is limited to applying for one original character and one adoptable, so choose wisely.

When writing character histories, please keep in mind that your characters must begin as loners, either as a part of The Colony or The Wayfarers. Your character may not have any living history in a clan, however The Wayfarers may have long-distant relations within the clan. Please also note there will be no living NPCs in either loner group. This means that your character’s relations must be missing or dead when you apply. There will also be the opportunity to arrange character relationships with other members once you have been accepted into the group.
