Water monkeys are clever and swanky; they have the leadership ability and they are the natural leadership talents. Water monkeys are quite competent in dealing with things and they may stand out quickly and feel proud under the favorable climatic, geographical and human conditions. However, they show too much of their ability and make people feel aggressive and disgusting, thus bringing a lot of troubles to their work. Also, water monkeys are irritable and hasty and they often opine on the matters without full understanding. Generally, water monkeys are confident but they always play tricks on others, bringing them poor relations with people. Therefore, they have to restrain and avoid from being unstable and fickle-minded, so that they can be popular among others and win the great help for their career development. In addition, they need to read more to enrich themselves, which will strengthen their luck.

Water monkeys have the good luck in youth and the prosperous luck in making money and politics in middle age, as well as the prosperous family in old age.

Water monkeys are quite capable in work and they will make great achievements once the job is suited to their training. Cooperating with the people with equal ability, their might will be doubled; where the workload is increased, the scientific and effective methods shall be applied to improve efficiency. Shui Houzi / Shui Gui / Water Monkey

A cousin to the Japanese Kappa, Shui Houzi are found throughout the waterways of China where they are just as dangerous as their cousins and just as easy to escape, once one knows the trick. Troublingly, however, Shui Houzi need a slightly different trick to evade, which has been the bane of unfortunately many. Hairier than their cousins, they are also smaller, and will use a number of tricks to hold onto their prey once they’re in the water. 

An older species than the Japanese Kappa, they nonetheless share a number of traits, both physical and behavioural, and Shui Houzi are part of the Chinese magical grouping of Yaoguai, something not entirely dissimilar to the Japanese Yokai classification. However, comparison of the two classifications, their similarities and their differences, remains hard, as few texts for each have been fully translated and, even when they have, neither Chinese nor Japanese magizoologists are keen to accept that the other may have come first in something due to long-existing conflict between the two nations.
