Describe your version of SkyClan to me, please I beg 🙏

So, for my OC FanClans, SkyClan never died out. The territories and landscape is also completely different and some would say even magical, as there's different climates there that absolutely should not be right next to each other. Their main camp is in a Grand Canyon type gorge, a massive pit with walls of pure stone encasing the camp and their dens are carved out from the walls. To get out of the pit there's several ledges and slopes.

To survive in SkyClan, you need to learn to jump, and jump high— If anything, to get out of camp. They put heavy care into their paws and legs, and it's not uncommon to find warriors with leaves and cobwebs acting as braces as an extra layer of protection.

There is a problem in the gorge, in the form of an especially stubborn massive pack of moles that have plagued their underground territories. They're a good source of prey... if a warrior can manage to kill them before massive claws take their eyes out.

Since SkyClan never fell, the resentment towards the other Clans for casting them out only grew with each generation. Eventually, they denounced StarClan, for they felt that their ancestors would never let something so tragic happen to them. Their SkyClan ancestors in StarClan realized this too, and they defected to form their own Clan among the stars to guide their own living generations. This defection is called MoonClan, and instead of a shimmering pelt of stars, these ghostly ancestors sport a layer of dust over their fur, and spotted eyes resembling that of the moon itself. Due to denouncing StarClan, their leaders don't take the -star suffix. Instead, they take the -moon suffix and treat it with the highest regard.

It's rare that a cat is given 'star' as a prefix or a suffix, still, but not unheard of. They also have a list of honorary prefixes and suffixes that go to those who do something of high value for the Clan, such as defend camp from a large predator or save the Clan from a hunger spell or widespread sickness. Currently, the Clan is being led by the hard-edged and bitter Graymoon, a tom who was brought up into SkyClan from birth and never quite seemed to make peace with how badly his Clan suffered. He promised to protect his Clan with everything he had to offer, and quickly rose in popularity among the Clan. His strong skills and willpower made him an easy pick for deputy, and he leads his Clan with a no-nonsense attitude.

SkyClan still holds their tradition of allowing Daylight Warriors, but under stricter rules than others would think. In fact, the Warrior Code was rewritten to accommodate these new rules;

Your warrior duties and serving the Clan come before you return to your Twoleg nests. You will be exiled from SkyClan if you neglect your duty.

Every Daylight Warrior must arrive to SkyClan camp by dawn, and are forbidden from leaving SkyClan territory until dusk, unless an exception is given.

A Daylight Warrior cannot become deputy, under any circumstances. If a Daylight Warrior wishes to become deputy, they must wholly reject their kittypet life.

Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to MoonClan for its life. If a warrior is seen favoring Twoleg kibble over prey, they will be cast out for dishonoring MoonClan's gifts.

Graymoon keeps a closer eye on his Daylight Warriors than his others, if anything to ensure that they're following the rules set by them and aren't wasting space in the Clan.

SkyClan is huge- perhaps too big for one cat to rule. Several cats have proposed the idea of multiple leaders and deputies, but MoonClan always rejected the idea. It was a mystery for a while, until the medicine cats began receiving prophecies and messages of the Clans reuniting. Graymoon, at first, dismissed these prophecies and tried to ignore what was coming, but the medicine cats encouraged him to make peace with the Clans returning. Externally he did, but inwardly he wants nothing more than for all four of the Clans to disappear, just as their ancestors wished for them.

Annndddd that's about where it picks up by the time the main gang gets there in Arc 4! Hijinks ensue, character development happens, etc etc I haven't planned too much out but its absolutely gonna be a doozy and I'm fuckign vibrating just thinking about them

EMS Code: OLH h 62 DOB: 39 EPL [Eclipse Post Landing] Residence: Colony site 1 | Gliese 667Cc "Vegas" Notes: No one else believes such book-keeping is necessary, however, I am the one who uses the computer. I am Laika, a scientist and scribe of [what my colleagues have dubbed] "Etherclan". My mission training included a course in “speech buttons”, training that would have had little practical use after the loss of the human settlers on Vegas. However, the fundamentals of my training have been easy enough to adapt for other uses. Namely, computer systems.

Laika! If you haven’t already noticed, she’ll be the primary “narrator” for all of the mission and crew logs. I will probably wind up doing some illustrations with short stories attached to them but all of the “logs” are Laika Logs!

She’s a proud, clever cat with strong opinions that will definitely leak into what she writes about events and her “colleagues”. Her closest friend is Starscream- who she is surprisingly patient with considering how short she is with everyone else.

Up ahead is another kind-hearted warrior, one-of-a-kind, Grasshiss! She's a part of the Grass family, sister to Wheatgrass! Don't mistake her unseein' eyes for weakness, she'll smack a rattler' down faster'n you can spit a hiss! Despite her snappy fightin' nature, she's a lover at heart--and has the butterflies somethin' awful for a certain deputy...

She's a sweetheart, true'n simple, and has got some of the softest fur to match her soft heart! She'll never think twice about helpin' her clan!

She's the best hunter of her clan, and is also in a doomed yuri with this cat:

They fell in love! But couldn't be together, especially with an upcoming battle for a prey-rich territory. Barleyfern easily turned her back on Cloudwhistle, and Cloudwhistle felt betrayed.

In a fit of pain and rage, she killed her beloved on the battlefield, and immediately recoiling with regret, ran away...

Later she'll have a kit, and name it Fernkit.

Laika Log #1: He's at it again.

Date: 75 EPL [eclipses post landing] Time: 05:00 AM Granted, it wasn't much of a mission. Starscream started talking about going on a scouting mission beyond the outer fence line earlier this moon. Surprising, given how averse he is risk. I worry that someone from Batch Two has been harassing him, what with his sudden "interest" [He cannot be genuine in it: posture too stiff, avoidant of eye contact, trembling voice.] in exploration and withdrawn behavior. I am almost certain it was Orion [workaholic, complete lack of tact, unnecessarily snappy]. He will hear from me, should that be the case.

firstly im obsessed with tormentils eyebrows-

secondly! its really interesting that the healers and ambassadors dont use the two part naming system as far as i can tell! its cool that tormentil has an apprentice, cottonpaw. is cottonpaw just training to become a normal warrior or an ambassador and if so, would she just be called cotton (with a virtue name) if she becomes ambassador? how is the next ambassador chosen (if you want to answer ik this is a long ask lol)

would fernpaw just be fern when she becomes a healer?

anyway their designs are really cool too :)

so cottonpaw is an ambassador apprentice. these guys are about 10 moons old, so they’ve just completed their 3 moons of general skills required before specializing. cottonpaw will train in mediation, speaking, etc. when she graduates to be a full ambassador, she will get a virtue name like tormentil, focused on her voice. examples of this kind of name from the other bens are Linnet of Clear Chirp and Samphire of Low Bellow. i’m not sure what her ambassador name is yet! she’ll be Cotton of xyz.

as for fernpaw, she will probably get an entirely new name associated with a healing herb. i don’t know what it will be yet, but examples might be meadowsweet, honeysuckle, mallowhigh, etc.

Well just call me a jackrabbit and stick me in a dog pen 'cause I'm JUMPIN' outta my skin to be postin' the first official YeeyeeClan ref! We're beginnin' here with the good leader of YeeyeeClan, Rattlestar, but 'fore I tell you 'bout him why don't I tell ya a little bit about YeeyeeClan itself... As you might'a guessed already, YeeyeeClan started as a joke among some cat lovin' artists, but boy howdy those little critters crawled right into our hearts faster than a rattle and a bite. Now I'd rightly say you should expect more jokin' type happenin' than anything else, but you better keep yer overalls fastened for when we drop some angst and backstory outta the big blue yonder. For now, you can 'xpect a whole lotta refs as we get you 'customed to all our cats, but yer more than welcome to ask 'em or us a question, and we'll do our best to draw you up a right charmin' response! But back to our good feller Rattlestar, YeeyeeClans current leader. Ol' Rattlestars a cantankerous ol' coot, but he loves his clan more than anyone else in it.
