That new blurb sure is.. something!! This is getting more and more genuinely absolutely absurd.

At least Moonpaw x Starlingpaw doesn’t seem it’ll be a thing.. only because we have Moonpaw x Nightsun kit! Oh joy . Only not mortified because this is the first time actually in Ages that a cat has found a love interest within their own home clan?? Which is actually Notable by now. What I ACTUALLY care about is Moonpaw and Voicepaw. How exactly does Voicepaw ‘torture’ her. Maybe by playing pop music on repeat in her head for all we know. Please give the ghost tethered to one single cat who is desperately lonely any amount of empathy

Tawnypelt’s whole situation drives me insane why did they have to massacre tigerheartstar to do it man!! He’d never act like this!! He took his son seriously when he shared what he thought was starclan visions, he defended him, why would he not do that for his mother?? Everything we’ve seen him of him prior would suggest he’d do anything for his family. Even the Birchfeather nonsense I can kind of wave away as making sense with his character if I squint, but ‘Nuh uh shut up about the prophecy MOM’ is just comically evil of him for no reason. If twolegs are clearly destroying the clans and his mom, who has gotten prophecies before, gets one, why on earth would he shut her up about it??

Oh and Starlingpaw is there. His Two Sentences of blurb crack me up. He comes across as so self important there?? ‘Only I, Starlingpaw, 16 year old boy, can save the world!’ That’s nice .who are you again

Yknow what feels ether most Odd actually. It’s if you put the blurb for this third book after the first one, you could very easily say they’d come directly after each other. Absolutely Nothing changes between the second and third books based off their blurbs!! So basically Tawnypelt flounders around with nobody taking her seriously for an entire book!!! Either Hidden Moon and or Chasing Shadows are gonna be a dragggg with nothing happening, unless the Erins discover how to write interesting interactions and character moments

*note: on top of never having a main series pov who's a tortie, we've ALSO never had a solid white pov in the main series. in fact, unless im misremembering, the only one we've EVER had is moth flight, while mapleshade, spottedleaf, and redtail were all torties

I don't think there's any information about what Moonpaw could look like but I love the collective decision that she's probably a gray kitty or a tortoiseshell

I'm going to go beg on the Erins' doorsteps to make her blue. I know it's unrealistic I know that. But I really just want blue cats back. Please. Remember Bluestar. What happened to letting them be Crayola Markers. Can she be blue?

I don't think I've ever seen this much hype around just the BLURB of a new wc arc before, all these cool predictions/ideas are exciting!! I can't wait for us all to be inevitably disappointed when moonpaw is a gray cat with blue eyes playing the role of sad anxious medicine cat #4 and the voice haunting her is actually ashfur (back from th water) and its her mission to go find the moonBush and in order to do that we have to go through 400 pages of walking to the tribe

tbh tho it does seem like the Hunters are taking fan suggestions? like all of the protags are female, 2 of them are elders, and one of them is a tortoiseshell. so many firsts here.! but that's the end of my compliments. there's another "mysterious voice telling young protag mysterious things" plotline and that is so so lame. also the incest.

Saw the Moonpaw page on the WC Website and YES she's not plain gray with blue eyes. AND she has Heterochromia??? Holy crap. She has two different eye colors. That's amazing. She's so pretty. I need to draw an updated design for her based on her new appearance!

Also she is Bayshine and Thriftear's daughter. Which I was definitely shocked by. I seriously did think that she was going to be a NightSun kit, I was fully invested in that being true. I'm being proved wrong! Hopefully we'll get more Bayshine and Thriftear screen time with their new status as "protagonist's parents"?

This makes me wonder if Nightheart and Sunbeam didn't have kits. Which would be great. But if they do and they're just not protagonists that's fine too.

Found out that Moonpaw existed and I just started to run with it. Honestly I don’t want a Nightsun kit please authorssss no legacy kits this next arc. However, I did add a headcannon hind leg weakness injury because of displaced hips because of the tree..Like how did she get out of there completely alive, and given more information than her siblings and NOT be important? Such a spunky cat not letting the trauma of being soul melded to Juniperclaw to stay alive and give him the full redemption he needs. Hence why she is renamed Moonpaw because of the Moonpool, Juniperclaw disappears that breaks the “tunnel balance” and shows she’s been touched by the dead. Probably talks to him in her head too like an imaginary friend at first and then over the series the old ladies adopt the child (or at the very least Leafstar) and help her figure out things!

also im not maintagging this but i think its so crazy that most people ive seen post about anw watching episodes when dev isnt onscreen is just "b-but whats dev doing rn? 🥺🥺" on every single episode, you wont fucking die oh my god
