Details:

They grew up in poverty on the poor side of the city. Their parents were the product of young love that never really amounted to much of anything. Right after high school Bear's older brother was born and then some 5 years later Bear came along. After Bear there was an accidental pregnancy that brought along their younger sister. About 2 years after their sister's birth their mother up and left. Their father worked multiple jobs just to keep a roof over their heads and put food on the table so he was never really around. That meant it was up to the children to take care of themselves. Bear was a wild one. Got into a lot of trouble and often and eventually fell in with the wrong crowd. The siblings had no real formal upbringing and were dysfunctional, at best, as a family. When the older brother turned 18 he left the home and the responsibility of trying to look after their younger siblings and the relationship with Bear has been estranged. Bear tried his best with looking after his younger sister but he was in the midst of a delinquent youth. Around 20/21 Bear finally straightened out his life and began working hard to make something of it. This connection is about siblings trying to come together and feel like family again.

The butler was used to exotic islands, usually attending trip with his master to such places after all, but being unable to spot Tori anywhere let alone not remembering how or when he got here made him feel panicked.

      Albeit the prior days drama, this has turned out to be such a spectacular day! ...For Ferro, that is. All his hard work, effort, blood, sweat and tears poured into building the islands; it simply is the best work Ferro’s ever done in his godhood. It almost brings tears to his eyes.

At first, Shinji believed that all this sneezing might be because someone was talking about him (or are they?), but now he feels like he may actually be getting sick. He has had such a high fever on top of weakness and no appetite--he’s certain that he has never been this sick before, and...he isn’t sure about how to address this.

The main detail is they started dating a little more than a year ago fairly soon after her very public breakup with her ex-girlfriend. It was a move that surprised everyone given how quick she jumped into a relationship following her breakup and also because she jumped into a relationship with a man after coming out when entering a relationship with her ex-girlfriend. She's currently contemplating breaking up with him or if she should open herself up to the potential here. Beyond the main point I see them as having been friends and maybe he always had a crush or feelings for her so he was absolutely happy and excited when Kira seemed interested and happy going into a relationship with him. They could've grown up together, known each other as teens in Woodside, and that be how they knew each other and had been in each other's lives prior to becoming a couple. I do see him as being a bit oblivious to her lack of intimacy with him. Kira does care about him and does feel bad about stringing him along, using him, but post breakup she was fearful of being alone and felt incredibly embarrassed about being publicly cheated on. She also thought being in a relationship with a man would get her back in her parents good graces. So while she initially was using him I do see how feelings could grow but definitely want to see how this develops rather than assume one way or another.

It turns out that these islands are governed by mystical entities of some kind. Very little information is available, even with Seven’s diligent searching. He’s done all but turn this whole damn place upside down, and all he could find about this “goats” is that they are in it for the sake of chaos and using the dimensional rift as a cosmic plaything. He also found some erotic friend fictions, and no eye bleach to chase the imagery out of his head. He can’t have nightmares about it if he doesn’t sleep, right?  This is depressing. 

But, it isn’t all in vain. Seven now has every phone number of every resident and he is planning to use this information for funsies. He has to get out his stress somehow.

So far, Elk knows that he is no longer in his world because “someone decided so.” If he wants to see Mia again, he will have to appease the goats somehow.  He’s never been at the mercy of gods before--goats, that also happen to be gods...and look like humans for some reason--and he’s scared. Elk tries to think of what Mia would do in this situation, but the situation itself is so bizarre that even Mia would be stumped. 

And Elk doesn’t have much to offer, either. All he has is some miscellaneous equipment and aromatic grass. Elk heard somewhere that Marley likes grass... Elk leaves a bundle of grass, some salve, and an extra set of twin blades on Marley’s shrine.
