Once again, to me, this cements my theory that JK doesn't get to eat Jimin's food often. He gets way too excited when Jimin cooks, can't wait to taste his food, etc etc.

Which brings us to our next example where one time Jimin brought the entire group cucumber drinks and they hated it. Jhope goes on to explain just how much they hated the flavor.

Jungkook has proven to be a heavy sleeper, if the way you are able to roam around his whole penthouse was any indicator of that.

There’s barely any light outside the window as you collect your discarded clothing from around his bedroom’s floor, making quick work of getting it on you before looking at yourself in the mirror, deeming yourself presentable enough to catch a ride home. It wasn’t as much of a secret as everyone else would have thought it would be. Both of you got yourselves a privilege like that. 

It wasn’t even planned as much as you had regularly wanted your hookups to be– something that had been deeply rooted for by your publicist, something along the lines of keeping the family image. You take a gulp out of your drink, feeling the alcohol burn your throat “Look at them! They actually have something to celebrate! My dad just made a few calls and now I get to shadow Jeon Jungkook in his company duties for my dissertation. I wouldn’t exactly call that hard work, would you?”

“Miss Y/N, I’ll have you know the business is as prosperous as it could be” he’s holding a drink of his own as he signals for you to follow him to the secluded area he had most likely arrange for himself just down the bar, being quick to take a seat right after you did “If anything, it is you I would be surprised to see here”

You try to shrug it off, not really the one to bring up your rather costly upbringings into what you deem your daily life “I’m a college student after all”

“I heard you got into your desired Masters programme, congratulations on that” there’s something else sparkling in his eyes– a way in. You place the freshly brewed cup of coffee in front of him, apart enough from his documents so as to not cause an accident and you can’t help the words slipping from your mouth, the tingling sensation of hope taking over your whole body “Congrats on the newly found bachelorhood” you make your way to stand behind his chair as he turns around to look up at you with veiled amusement in his eyes, the smallest of smirks on his lips “I’m sure you’ll soon make it back to the number one spot on the ‘Most Seeked After Bachelors’ ” 

Jungkook fixes his glasses before once again turning his back to you, diving straight back into work “Not that it is any relevant” 

You can’t shake the misplaced emotions that the knowledge of Jeon Jungkook being single produces within you– no stranger to the nature of them after the awkward dancing around each other you two had a history of. Can’t even wipe the smile off of your face as lunch break comes around and Yoongi takes a seat beside you in the company’s cafeteria. “Now that you’re technically one of us, and not your rich self, will you be attending the fundraising gala?”

Attending the fundraising gala is as much of a chore as anything else pertaining to any company duties is– you guess it most certainly loses its sparkle if you’ve been an attendee most of your life. IA with your two cents post. I felt the same when Suga & Jk were talking & downplayed it as if Jm flew to NY to be with Jk for a drink & had to mention Jm called him. I don't think Jk was prepared for Suga to bring it up & did his best to address it since it was also a private vacation & knows how guarded Jm's become about their relationship & would ring his neck. Maybe all Yoongi biases are the same, because I truly feel like gatekeeping everything about him and I see that impulse in other Yoongi biases too. I’m very selfish with Yoongi.

You mentioned his visuals and him being caring etc, so let me try something here. It’s easy for me to talk about Jimin, but near impossible for me to talk about Yoongi, so I’m going to try talking about Yoongi through some of his actions with Jimin. And I’ll sprinkle in some okay pictures of him I don’t mind sharing, since you’ve acquired a taste for his visuals as well. :)

When people typically talk about Yoonmin, they stick to a rotation of Yoongi’s mouth hanging open watching Jimin, Jimin’s teasing of Yoongi, their bickering, etc. This is a jikook space so we hear all the time about how Jungkook looks out for Jimin, cares for him, encourages him and protects him. JK is introverted so when he becomes very assertive, usually on account of Jimin, it stands out. Yoongi too is introverted, but when he deals with Jimin he doesn't really break character, and so, oftentimes his quiet encouragement of Jimin, the significance of his actions, typically goes under the radar for a lot of people.

For example,

I'm not sure how many people realize how big a deal it was for Yoongi to recommend Jimin for A&R director when the boys were making BE. Jimin has said during that time, he felt lost - with their tour getting canceled, all their plans upended with no end in sight, the pandemic had taken away his core reason to live by his own admission i.e. performing for ARMYs. He was starting to drift and become unmoored (emotions we now see in Alone), and so Yoongi recognizing that, and recommending that Jimin take on the responsibility for determining the direction of their self-driven album, to get Jimin "closer to music again", is a small thing, but I see it as one of many ways Yoongi was pushing Jimin to better express and assert himself in that situation. Advice that Jimin finally took to heart during their Vegas concerts, when he began pursuing his solo music in force. The A&R role would’ve typically gone to RM since he drives most of their songwriting and oftentimes sets the tone of their music with BH, but Yoongi pushing for Jimin to be active, with Jimin eventually writing some songs for BE (though those were rejected), registered in my mind as yet another way Yoongi sees Jimin in ways many of the members don’t, and quietly advocates for him. Pushes him to go out of his comfort zone, because of how much he loves him. RM eventually took on a more active role during BE but Jimin being able to come on YouTube lives in Fall 2020 to talk about things he was doing for BE, those glimpses into him starting to find himself again, those details registered for me in ways I’m not sure I can properly express.

Yoongi sees Jimin, and loves him dearly. And it's mutual.

Another moment I want to highlight is their 2016 Festa dinner. You know the one, where Taehyung talks about how Jimin grabs the spotlight/center. Yoongi was the first to come to Jimin's defense, saying how Jimin just naturally knows how to be a good performer, that a friend had told him that Jimin naturally knows how to act on stage to capture the audience. I'm not sure if it's obvious to many people, but that comment shifted the direction of the conversation, and soon other members were talking about how good and confident a performer Jimin is. J-hope would later say he's learned about performing by watching Jimin, and Jungkook would say this in later years too.

Yoongi saw Jimin's potential since way back in pre-debut, encouraging him and advocating for Jimin to be added to the final line-up in BTS, and has supported him in key periods of doubt since. Everyone saw how hard Jimin was working as one of the last trainees to join a nearly bankrupt agency with limited resources to train even just 7 people - I can't imagine the anxiety Jimin had to deal with but I imagine it was so much. And so when Jimin talks about that period and nearly always mentions how Yoongi supported him, I don't take it lightly.

This post has so many elements of a good fic for me. The descriptions, the build up, the intimacy, the teasing, the comedic moments. And the actual hot tub scene is incredibly hot.

The only ship jikookers have a reason to be threatened and insecure about is yoonmin. Not taekook, not namkook, not jinkook even. There is nothing going on between yoonmin but you sure as hell there would've been if kook never existed. That's why they like to hate on suga so much

Its the way if you find JK lost in Mimi all you have to do is look for Suga and voila! I already showed here where Jimin displayed the Jibooty and the first thing JK did was look at Suga. So even he knows.

Jimin and his hyungs

When Jimin was on Jimmy Fallon last week, he was asked who in particular from the band, he was keeping in touch with and he gave a special mention to JHope and Suga.

Based on the evidence of the last week I feel like these two have really had an important role in guiding Jimin through his solo debut.

It is true that RM also contributed with lyrics for Like Crazy and Face Off and Jimin has been loud in his praise of RM as a songwriter.

But I feel like J-Hope and Suga have been providing the emotional support and reassurance that Jimin needed putting his first solo album out into the world. Especially given the very personal nature of its content.

Yoongi is definitely the mother hen of the maknae line. Suga gave Jimin a comfortable platform in which to talk about the experience of putting together his first album. He was also keen on Jimin performing at the music shows. Jimin was clearly nervous but he promised that he would be there to support him.

(As an aside, I already did a post on this episode after my first watch but I've seen it a few times now and if you want to understand BTS, Suga, Jimin and the YoonMin dynamic don't miss it.)

We found out this week that Suga is a man of his word. Suga came to the pre-recording of Music Bank

and J-Hope came to the live show.

Just as some may see RM as the brains of BTS, Sope represent its beating heart. Both have their own interests and ambitions but they understand the importance of everyone in the team having the chance to grow and succeed and they are prepared to put the time in to support those individual dreams.

what sets taekook apart from some of the other pairings? for example yoonmin hung out a LOT one on one over chp 2 and are also super cuddly/cute with eo, same w jihope. so why is it that we deem taekooks interactions as romantic but yoonmin/jihopes are not? i don’t actually believe in yoonmin or jihope but theyre pairings that i’ve noticed have also hung out a lot separate from the group and talk abt eo a lot. bc ik we have mentioned one of the things that solidified our belief in tkk was seeing how much they chose to hang out w eo in chp 2. but what exactly is the difference between those two pairings’ interactions and taekooks?

Other tkkrs who've done this longer might be able to comment on what chapter 2 looked like from their perspective but I've only been around for chapter 2. I've had to go back.

What I've personally taken from it is that all the stuff that happened in chapter 1 - obvious attraction, drama, love songs, 2018 that looks like it was the two of them having a bad time but together, touchy feely Grammys, "members and JK" - feels like it's solidified by chapter 2. Because what haters called fanservice is now very much their private time. Off schedule they're close. When ITS is making up storylines about them being distant and awkward, the reality of hiatus shows that they're not only close but so close that JK hangs with Tae's best friends and invites Tae's people to his album party despite seemingly nobody else getting their friends invited.

Bighit Games

If someone said to me "Peach, there are two couples in BTS", I'd guess the other as Yoonmin. So let's take them as an example of a pair that spent a lot of time together off schedule, have clear high regard and care for each other, potential attraction (I see it, other tkkrs don't), consistent contact over the years... So why don't I expend energy on them?

I think because I believe there's an intervention from Bighit regarding TKK that doesn't make sense. When have Yoonmin ever looked off camera then separated? When have they had a weird conversation on camera that doesn't stand up to timeline scrutiny? No forced narrative. No pretence that the other isn't there with them.

If it turns out Taekook were never a couple, I'd have to find Bighit staff and just be like "what WAS that about?" because it's the Streisand Effect: we're looking because they're telling us not to look.

Hey Goldy! How are you? This is just super random, but someone shared a clip of Rosebowl Jikook, and can I just say how surreal it still feels that it actually happened? People were scrambling to explain that it was completely platonic, that it was an edit, that JK didn't suck JM's ear, that it was completely normal 🙄

I've heard about a certain clip where you could see a string of saliva, and yes, I saw it. Apparently, the big screen during the concert show you front and center when that happened and how you could literally see the string of saliva from JK's mouth to JM's ear. You could even see the sucking movement.

Imagine if Jikook have partners? Imagine seeing that and being okay w/ it?? And mind you, he did after towards the end of the concert, when they're sweaty and all.

People left and right, 24/7 camping on Jikook accounts writing long-ass essays and novels to say Jikook hate each other or whatever. You don't see us camping out on say tkk/yoonmin accounts to prove they're not real, don't you? I mean, sure, we correct misinformation when you're posting lies or manipulated clips for your non-existent ships (tkk/yoonmin/etc).

Sorry anon, your message must have indeed gotten lost somewhere among the others. But to compensate for that and to not be rude, I'll offer you some quick recs now.

First one would be Agency. It's a/b/o and I know I said I'm not a fan of it, but somehow I gave this one a chance and I don't regret it. It was a critical take on the concept and the dynamics, challenging traditional notions of a/b/o and more so, the author used it as a criticism/mirror to the control the talent agencies and companies have over their trainees and signed artists. The a/b/o trope turned into a metaphor on how one had control over their body and how that body is used for various purposes by other people. I think it was a really interest way to make a critique on kpop as well and it made me think of the way we talk about idols as well, often times if not fully, on the line of objectification.

There's few people that I like the way they write Jungkook as a character because they stay away from ridiculous stereotypes and also give him so much depth. Rkiveink is one of them and I think Floodlight has been read by so many, but it's definitely high on my rec list.

God, are you there? I never thought I would power through a chaptered fic that had a serious taekook relationship and also some yoonmin, but damn, it was worth it. If you're willing to give this a chance, I don't think you would regret it. I did it because I've read other fics from the same author so I trusted the process. The summary doesn't tell you much, but jikook are really fun in this one and by the time in gets to the tension, and the flirting while knowing they shouldn't be doing it, you'll be on the edge of your seat. I actually read this while it was ongoing and I couldn't wait for the next chapter.
