I don't understand how any of the seven get so much hate. They all have amazing characteristics, designs, personalities, backgrounds, etc.

Percy

Percy is the main character to the first five books so he has the most information shown about him than the seven since we read from his point of view in pjo and the Olympians. His whole thing of loyalty is incredible and the things he risked to save people he barely knew made him an amazing protagonist. 

Annabeth

Hello??? I know she's smart but that's not her only characteristic. She's blinded by her own powers and doesn't know how to handle things thrown at her when she can only rely on her emotions which is amazing cause ME TOO GIRLY she's a badass who also went through so much during HOO 

Leo

Built a whole ass ship, was manipulated and controlled into KILLING HIS OWN MOTHER OMGS MY HEART, was always singled out and felt like he didn't belong, SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR HIS FRIENDS, and so much more!!!

This is where ima start defending for my life bc people who say Jason is boring don't understand his story. He was taken from his home, raised by wolves until he was around 2/3, raised the rest of his life until his was 16 in a camp where he was trained to be an actual child soldier, kidnapped and had his memory erased, watched his best friend DIE, and died for his other best friend !!! WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT????? OFC HES GOING TO BE BORING HE DIDNT KNOW WHO HE WAS OR WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE

I will hold you by the shoulders and stare directly into your soul until you give me a good reason to hate Piper bc she did nothing wrong. She just wanted her father's love and she never got it so what happened? She was sent or a wilderness camp where she was also manipulated into believing a random boy was her bf which entirely messed her up and it took her MONTHS ALMOST A YEAR to realize that she didn't have the feelings she was lead to believe. THEN SHE SAW HER EX HER BSF DIE IN FRONT OF HER????? I WOULD BE RUINED AFTER THAT OMGS

Excuse me, didn't she DIE in the 1940s to prevent the world from ending, came back, only to have to save the world AGAIN??? Not to mention that fact that she was bullied and harassed all her life before and after her death. Before her death she was always treated like the devil bc of her curse, even by her own mother. Her mom even neglected Hazel which is something NO ONE SEEMS TO TALK ABOUT. Then she has an unknown brother save her from the underworld and have to completely rebuild her life from scratch. At new rome she still wasn't treated right and was left out and made out to be a weird girl just like her old life. Tbh if that was me I wouldn't be shaking crying every time I saw someone. Also she learned how to control the mist which is pretty fricking cool okay I love her 

Frank

Let's just point out the obvious first. The reason Frank is not one of the most loved characters is because he is/was chubby. I'll say it, that is the reason. If he was skinny/fit more people would love him. That's probably why Rick did the transformation thingy thing where Frank got all buff. Which sucks because Frank is incredible and having one of the only character that's not skinny or muscly or as conventionally attractive have to change to those things just to be slightly more popular is STUPID!!!! I'm not hating on Rick I'm honestly hating on the fans who didn't love Frank because of the fact that he was chubby, whether they knew that was the reason they didn't like him as much as the other seven or not. His story is incredible. His mom going to war and her dying made my heart break while reading. his entire life force being attached to a piece of wood, so easy to be burned to nothingness, is SO GOOD. His awkwardness is so refreshing to see when characters are often portrayed as nonchalant and cool when in reality we're all losers 😭 

Really, there's no real reasons to hate any of the seven. You can have favorites, I have my favorites of course, but putting the other seven down doesn't do anything. You're just an asshole.

I've been thinking about all my old theories, and maaaan, I would have never imagined something quite like this. It's true that we were right about Fyodor's Ability "punishing" someone who has committed a "crime," though I wouldn't have thought that "crime" or "sin" was literally killing Fyodor himself, lol. And I WAS right that he is immortal (kind of?)!! Or at least that he's been around for hundreds of years!! I also seem to be right that he doesn't age, though I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's explained why his appearance hasn't changed in centuries.

It still hasn't been explained how he's able to kill with a touch, however. This hasn't been explained:

There are definitely more secrets to be uncovered when it comes to Fyodor, so it remains to be seen if there's more to his Ability or if this will end up being an inconsistency.

I think the true nature of Fyodor's Ability is really interesting in terms of Dostoevsky's novels, too. "Possession" (though not in the literal sense) is a motif that occurs in a couple of his novels, most notably Demons, but also, to an extent, The Brothers Karamazov and Crime and Punishment. In Demons the "possession" is specifically "demonic possession" in the biblical sense, though again, it isn't literally in the biblical sense, just the overarching symbolism. I actually started to write a meta about this several chapters back, so maybe I'll finish it, haha.

I definitely did not imagine that Fyodor would take over Bram. Poor Bram :( But damn does he look good in Bram's clothes and wielding the holy sword and Fukuchi's time bullshit sword 🥵

This doesn't really fix the issues with the Meursault arc, but if Fyodor really sent himself to prison in order to trick Dazai into sending himself to prison, too, that does actually explain the bizarre decision to get himself arrested in the first place, which was one of my biggest gripes. There are still plenty of other problems, but whatever, I guess sdfghjhfghjk.

I was becoming less invested in the series since the Infamous Helicopter Crash and the Dazai Friendship Speech of Doom, but I'm finally excited again!!! I'm really curious to see where this is gonna go. I know Fyodor is going to be defeated somehow, but I hope he causes all sorts of chaos first, he deserves to ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ✩‧˚ ♡♡

Josephine!! TYSM FOR THE ASKKK <333 🪵: You and your f/o have a bonfire. What’s the experience like? Doing this question for my boy Daryl!!! My feral dog man who barks at people basically <3 Bonfires aren't too common if we're out in the wilderness together (lotta zambies out there y'feel?) but if we're in our community it's a lot safer to. We'll usually attend any bonfire that happens and keep very close to each other, y'know, hold hands and all that grossness. I get cold very easy even if it's not that cold, I'm a born and raised desert dweller so my ass can't even handle high 70's on a good day, but I love it! It's very comforting sitting in silence with Daryl, sometimes we'll talk about something but most of the time it's just me rambling about something and him grunting in agreeance. He also like to give me the most random wilderness facts out of nowhere or with context. He's an expert at that sorta thing! But mostly it's me and him being close and holding hands, keeping warm and me most likely falling asleep on his shoulder. I have a drawing of that exact scenario here!

🌻: What’s something that reminds you and your f/o of autumn?

Gonna answer this one for my girl Laurie! My answer personally is actually, Laurie! Her source is from, well, Halloween! The movies shes in that I consider canon (Halloween 1978, Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends) all have wonderful Fall aesthetics! I love watching them during October, my birthday is that month, my horror movie marathon always takes place then too! For Laurie, well, canonically Fall is a tough time of year for her. Later on in her life it gets better (only for it to turn back on her sorry about that 😭😭 staring at my boy Corey) and she was able to embrace Halloween for a good while, and during that time she was able to reminisce on better times! We'll partake in pumpkin carving, baking, making costumes! (This is all either no-tragedy AU with Laurie or older Laurie who has overcome her trauma, either or.) But, in the scenario of her not being able to handle the season very well, we mostly just stay indoors and keep close and busy. Lots of cuddles, reading, talking, whatever keeps her mind off of it. I'll do anything for her during that time of year if she needs it! Just no mention of Halloween as a holiday, no masks, no horror movies. So yeah!! Some insight into that!!

saw the bts video of janet at what looks like a sharpwin rooftop wedding and i get leyla not being there since she doesn’t really know max and helen but i need lauren to show up at leyla’s or at an agreed upon spot afterwards and for them to kiss. like it needs to happen. im way past anything making sense or approaching the end of the series with subtlety im just at the ‘get them back together right now dammit’ stage and going by episode summaries and other bts stuff leyla is in a lot more episodes than i thought. the ‘bloom helps leyla’ ep makes me think immigration issue but knowing the writers they’ll come up with something way more tragic and confusing lol fingers crossed whatever happens at least gives some insight into leyla but i won’t hold my breath.

yeah the rooftop wedding seemed super, super, super small and i'm surprise wilder and gladys made the cut. i wouldn't have been surprise if it was just the core group so i didn't really expect leyla to be there. but as long as we're getting leyren content in the season finale, i couldn't care less how it gets fit in there 😭

on the one hand, it makes sense that leyla would be in most (if not all?) of the remaining 7 episodes because there's still SO MUCH left between her and lauren but on the other hand, we're so used to seeing her skip every other episode that confirmation of this many appearances in a row is a shock to the system sdjflksd. my gut reaction to the 'bad news' synopsis was that it had something to do with her residency/ED related but immigration was a very close second. hell it could be both! like NA will no longer be offering ED residency program which means leyla doesn't have a visa sponsor and it's too late to pick up a residency at this point in the year so she has to go back to pakistan, etc. which. ngl, i'd very much enjoy a scene of lauren immediately fumbling to offer a green card marriage and leyla awkwardly but endeared by the offer, turning her down.

but who knows? the writers could come up with another idea we're not even considering because what else do we know about leyla at this point other than she's currently going through her process to be a doctor again and she's an immigrant? whatever it is, the combination of "leyla gives Bloom bad news," and "Bloom helps Leyla avoid a life-changing situation" implies that LEYLA approached lauren with the news and that lauren is helping leyla with her knowledge in an agreed upon way. my parallel spidey senses are tingling and if we get a mirror situation to 3x14 but lauren acts with leyla instead of for her this time and it brings them closer together..... someone may have to collect me from my puddle of tears on the floor. ack. icb this damn show is gonna making me wish my weekend passes faster so tuesday can get here sooner 😭

ok I am interested in hearing about the mouse novel you started in 3rd grade

For anyone wondering what this is about, I mentioned this story a couple times in the tags, I don’t even remember on what posts lol. It took a minute to dig it up but I finally found it, wasn't even on my computer, it was on my backup drive lol. I’m gonna liveblog my reactions to it. Probably gonna be a long post, so

It's bad. It's very bad. I thought I started it in like 3rd or 4th grade or something but I found the earliest version in my 2009 folder which was 6th grade for me 😭. I don't think I was that bad at writing in 6th grade but it's really very bad. We're talking worse than My Immortal bad. It's possible I started it earlier and moved it to more recent folders over time (cause I took like 3 years to write like 6 pages lmao) but this is worrisome. I also found updated versions in my 2010 and 2011 folders which went up to 8 pages whoo! (But somehow only 2k words for the longest versions??) The "last modified" date is worthless cause I've moved it between like 3 computers and 5 flash drives/backups so all the versions say 2017.

That being said, there is a very marked improvement in the writing quality over those 8 pages that I'm almost proud of. That last page is frankly perfectly readable as a novel written for 8-12 year olds, though the story structure still needs a ton of work.

Oh shit, I just dug into the file metadata and found out it was created in May 2007, so 4th grade! Whew! I have an excuse for how bad it is. The newest version was last modified in April 2011 so that totally explains why it's so much better towards the end. Huh, just noticed I actually updated the intro in the most recent version, which makes it slightly more palatable lmao.

Well now that I've finished liveblogging my detour down memory lane, what the hell's the story about?

A town called Miceville exists in the lowest sub-basement of a human apartment building. The main character (named Cheddar Squigee) gets himself into a predicament, lost in the wilderness due in part to his own bad decisions and in part because of his older brother's dumbassery. Hopelessly stranded with no hope for rescue while his family is worried sick looking for him, Cheddar goes on an adventure with ghost pirates to find some treasure and save them from their curse (because I’d just watched Pirates of the Caribbean), before eventually reuniting with his family. I only got as far as the “he got stranded” bit with the beginnings of lore for the ghost pirates.

Some highlights from the story:

I think the very idea of a mouse story came from me reading some Geronimo Stilton books around that time. Look them up if you haven’t heard of them, they’re great books in my memory from when I was like 10 so I’m sure they’ll hold up over a decade later /s

There’s an “I didn’t know you could read” reference to Harry Potter

The entire ghost pirates thing is obviously lifted from PotC which I think is just hilarious

The entire thing is written in Comic Sans font except for two parts which are 1) The chapter titles which are in Impact (that meme font fyi) and 2) The main title which is in the old MS Office 2003 WordArt lmao

I made Cheddar’s brother a major dick and a dumbass, which absolutely was not at all inspired by my relationship with my IRL brother, not one bit. There is nothing for a therapist to unpack there.

I don’t know why I specified the mouse city was in the sub-basement of a human apartment. The humans were never supposed to make an appearance or have any impact to the story. I could just have easily made it a full mouse world like Redwall or whatever.

Everything happens so fast (what is pacing and plot structure?) so if I finished the story at the current pace I don’t think it would break 30k words, not even a novel.

Anyway, thank you so much for giving me an excuse to take a couple of hours looking at this crappy story I wrote over a decade ago. No, no one can read it it’s still very bad.
