i created a PC for a fallout rpg campaign, her name is victoria saint. i was proudest of her origin, which is that a brotherhood of steel powersuit walks into a town in north carolina and comes to a stop as people approach it and inside is a baby girl. baby in a basket for the fallout age. the brotherhood of steel motto used to be on the front but it had partially worn away so instead of saying AD VICTORIAM they were left with VICTORIA so that’s what they named her. she has a very cool mechanics/big guns build and wants to fix the power armour very badly.

VANDERPUMP Rules fans have slammed Raquel Leviss for blaming Ariana Madix's body image struggles for her split from Tom Sandoval.

The controversial Bravo star secretly sparked up a romance with Ariana's longtime boyfriend while filming the show.

During Wednesday's episode of Vanderpump Rules, the cast gathered for a soft launch at Katie Maloney and Ariana's sandwich shop Something About Her. 

During the get-together, Raquel, 28, pulled Ariana, 37, for a chat about her relationship with Tom, 39.

The former pageant queen kicked off the conversation saying: "I did want to ask you though, how are you and Sandoval?"

Ariana confessed: "We had a big argument last night. He feels like he’s not being heard which is why he’s always the loudest person in the room."

Raquel replied: "Do you think – because I remember when I opened up to you about James and I not having sex? and you told me that, 'Yes, sometimes Sandoval and I got through dry spells.'"

She later suggested: "I feel like in a relationship you should want to have sex."

After Raquel asked if she was "sexually attracted" to Tom, Ariana revealed: "Omg I think he’s so f**king hot. but then I’m like I’m not hot. You don't look at my body and go yeah that’s what I want. I want cellulite, fat thighs, and a big ass and like bingo arms."

Raquel cried as she responded, seemingly empathizing with her friend: "I feel like a lot of it is in your head and I do that to myself too. It's f**ked up. I think we’re a lot prettier than we think we are and I think we’re our worst critics."

PLANTING THE SEED

During the episode, bar co-owner Tom appeared to be planting the seeds of doubt about his relationship with Ariana.

He repeatedly expressed negative feelings about the romance, at one point telling Tom Schwartz: "I feel like sometimes my very presence annoys her."

The musician went on to say: "It’s like, Ariana when’s the last time you’ve gone to the store to buy paper towels or toilet paper? Like, there’s f**king pens in the drawer, batteries in the drawer because I do that. You don’t go out of your way to do things for me and it just f**king hurts me after a while."

In a confessional, Tom Schwartz – who fans later learned knew about the affair when the episode was filmed – seemed to be aiding his friends' efforts.

He said: "You never know what’s going on behind closed doors but based on what I’ve seen they just seem like they’ve devolved into roommates, you know? I’m seeing a lack of intimacy when they hang out. They don’t really acknowledge each other. It’s not looking good."

In his own confessional, Tom Sandoval said of his relationship: "There’s been a little bit of a disconnect. We definitely argue a lot more than we did for sure earlier on in our relationship. There’s time where I’ll really make a point as to why I feel a certain way and she can’t ever say, ‘Hey, you’ve got a point there.’”

A short while later, Tom Sandoval and Ariana sat down to talk about their challenges.

The Missouri native sobbed as he said: “I just want to f**king be better. I want us to be more intimate. Having sex four times a year, that also affects me. “

He then added: "I love you. I want us to be better."

Ariana replied: "I do too. You have just as many guards and walls up as I do. They’re just different."

Low Doses of Ketamine as a Rapid Antidepressant

One of the most prevalent mental health disorders in the United States is depression. The CDC reported that over 18%, almost 1 in 5, Americans reported having ever been diagnosed with depression, making it a highly prevalent issue. One of the most common treatments for depression are Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI), which selectively inhibit the reuptake of serotonin, leading to excess serotonin in the synapses. While effective, SSRIs can have hefty side effects, such as nausea, headaches, and symptoms of serotonin syndrome. Additionally, SSRIs must be taken for several weeks before the patient begins to feel a reduction in depressive symptoms. So, what if a different drug had a more immediate therapeutic effect? 

A study done on the effect of ketamine on MDD symptoms revealed that therapeutic effects of depression treatments may be able to come to fruition much sooner than possible with standard SSRI treatments. 

68 participants with treatment-resistant MDD or bipolar disorder were weaned off any medication and were given either a ketamine and placebo infusion two weeks apart, with the order of each injection being randomized between participants. This was a double blind study, meaning neither the patient nor investigators, nursing staff, or clinical raters were aware of which solution the patient was given. 

To measure symptoms, the MADRS was used to assess depressive symptoms and the MADRS5 was used to assess the symptoms associated with typical symptoms. The Structured Interview Guide for the clinician-administered Hamilton Depression Rating Scale–Seasoned Affective Disorder Version (SIGH-SAD), specifically the Scale for Atypical Symptoms (SAS), was used to assess the symptoms associated with atypical depression. Examples of these symptoms include social withdrawal, weight gain, increased appetite, and hypersomnia. 

The ketamine infusion resulted in statistically significant improvements in symptoms detected in the MADRS (typical symptoms), specifically pessimistic thoughts, sadness, and inability to feel. Additionally, the ketamine infusion resulted in statistically significant improvements in symptoms detected in the SAS (atypical symptoms), specifically carbohydrate craving, social withdrawal, and fatigability. 

At the day 3 mark following the ketamine administration, statistically significant improvements in typical and atypical symptoms such as reported sadness, inability to feel, concentration difficulties, apparent sadness, social withdrawal, carbohydrate craving, and fatigability. Over the three day interval consistent improvements were made among the symptoms. 

The results of this study indicate that ketamine appears to rapidly alleviate symptoms, and is most rapidly able to alleviate symptoms of typical depression. Typical symptoms were significantly improved after just one day post ketamine administration, and atypical symptoms had nearly the same levels of alleviation after three days post ketamine administration.

So, what about the mechanisms behind ketamine make it such a fast acting antidepressant?

A study done with 58 participants with major depressive disorder investigated mechanisms related to ketamine’s rapid antidepressant effects. In this study, ketamine was found to increase functional connectivity in the VS-left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and DC-right ventrolateral prefrontal cortex. These effects were specific to the fronto-striatal circuitry. Post-ketamine, increased C-reactive protein were correlated with decreased VRP-right orbitofrontal cortex functional connectivity. 

Fronto-striatal interactions have been shown to be significantly associated with motivational behavior, and the findings of this study suggest that depressive symptoms may be due to a lack of interaction between these regions. Ketamine’s impact on functional connectivity may be what is alleviating these depressive symptoms, meaning that ketamine may increase cognitive flexibility as well as modulation over reward processes. This, in turn, may be what is providing therapeutic effects on depressive symptoms. 

What can this tell us about ketamine, and the larger discussion surrounding antidepressants as a whole? 

Firstly, it is important to note that these studies are preliminary and should be interpreted with caution, as they are very preliminary. The role of ketamine as an antidepressant is still largely unknown in terms of its specific neural mechanisms, and the results of preliminary studies require further understanding before a drug like ketamine can be regularly used in a clinical setting.

Additionally, ketamine is a highly abused drug that can have negative side effects such as dissociative effects and an addictive potential. Considering these concerns, further research regarding administering ketamine as a fast acting antidepressant is needed.

Despite these necessary cautions, the results of these studies present exciting knowledge related to treatments for depression. With such a high prevalence across the population, effective therapeutic treatments for depression are needed, and the possibility of a fast acting drug to alleviate symptoms is promising. Upon further knowledge and research, it is possible that low, initial doses of ketamine may be able to act as a clinically administered rapid antidepressant.

We started off our upgrades with the VR Performance Valvetronic Exhaust System for the Porsche 991.1 Turbo. This exhaust system is designed to provide maximum performance, sound quality, and durability. With its valvetronic technology, you can control the sound of your engine from inside the cabin with a simple switch – giving you complete control over how loud or quiet your ride is at any given time! The exhaust notes from the ARMYTRIX system are monstrous. Not only does this exhaust system look and sound great, but it also increases horsepower and torque while reducing back pressure in order to maximize efficiency in your engine.

VRP High Flow Headers

These new VR Performance tubular headers for the Porsche 991 Turbo or Turbo S really show off the performance you can get out of this engine. The design of the headers are a 3 into 1 style that the twin turbo REALLY benefits from. Unlike the 996 and 997 Turbo, the 991 headers are very restrictive and the clam shell design prohibits the turbos from spooling up quickly.

To really get the most out of our modifications we decided to get an ECU flash from VR Tuned for this Porsche 991.1 Turbo. This optimizes engine performance, enhancing horsepower and torque while maintaining fuel efficiency. We opted the tune with:

Vmax Off – This is an increase or reduction of the maximum speed limit.

Race Exhaust – This option is for those running full race exhaust systems.

Pops & Bangs (burble tune) – This is the result of an ignition delay which creates an exhaust detonation when the throttle pedal is released. 

ECU Flash Benefits

– Eliminates CEL codes caused by headers or high-flow catalytic converters installation – Properly optimizes and adjusts fuel and ignition maps for the new modifications – Provides an additional 100 wheel horsepower over stock

VRP Upgraded Diverter Valve Pair

The factory diverter valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost. To help keep the boost pressure constant all the way to redline, upgrading the stock diverter valve to the VR Racing Diverter Valve Kit was necessary. These valves are CNC machined 6061 aluminum which have been precision engineered to fit with the stock or aftermarket boost hoses. The internal construction of the valve uses a machined piston with proper o-rings to ensure a smooth motion that is air tight to prevent any boost leaks. The spring has been engineered to hold moderate to aggressive boost increases on your turbo car.

VRP Cold Air Intake Kit

Unlocking maxium power starts with airflow, and the Porsche 991 Turbo knows it well. Upgrading the stock intake system in this beast can be quite the challenge due to its redesigned engine bay. But look no further! Our kit is here to revolutionize the game. We’ve retained the factory intake snorkel, channeling airflow directly to our twin cone air filters. These filters aren’t just any—they feature a high-flow filtration design to stop more bad particles while keeping an extremely high efficiency. Each filter comes with an intake tube that is powdercoated wrinkle black made from 6061 heat treated aluminum and TIG welded. 

The VRP cold air intake kit is a game-changer, giving the Turbo quick throttle response, almost like driving in perpetual sport mode all the time. Need proof? With this kit, we were able to pick up 0.1sec quicker 0-60mph.  Dyno tests will reveal a gain of about 15ft/lbs of torque at the peak while horsepower gain is 10awhp at peak RPM.

For this build, a classic 10-spoke with an outer ring design gives it that racing sporty look while still maintaining an air of sophistication and elegance thanks to their unique design. It’s definitely an upgrade that can’t be ignored! Plus they come in 20 x 9 +45 front & 20 x 12 +45 rear sizes so they fit perfectly on the 991.1 Turbo without any issues whatsoever.

VR Aero Carbon Fiber Wing Lip Spoiler

The Porsche 991 Turbo and Turbo S are incredibly designed vehicles in performance, handling, and aerodynamics.  But with all 911 body styles, there is one thing that really makes the iconic shape stand out over stock vehicles. That is, of course, the addition of a more aggressive rear spoiler.  For years people have been upgrading the rear ends to feature a GT2 or GT3 style rear spoilers.  With the 991 Turbo, the factory hydraulic rear spoiler and front spoiler work hand and hand to provide incredible aerodynamic ability. At 300kph, the 991 Turbo can produce 132kg of downforce, allowing it to lap the Nordschleife two seconds faster than in the normal mode. To keep these incredible stats but add extra styling, we added one final touch – VR Aero Carbon Fiber Wing Lip Spoiler for a little extra pizzazz!

This is a simple add on piece that installs in less than 30 minutes.  It allows it to fit snuggly on the stock spoiler curves without drilling or cutting into anything.  It wraps around the front and rear of the factory wing blade to lock in place. The lightweight carbon fiber piece is styled to match other VR Aero carbon fiber parts.

VRP Porsche PDK Cup Style Shifter Stick

Last but not least, we’ve added the VR Performance Cup Shifter for more fun and engaging shifting experience. This shifter was designed to give PDK owners a whole new experience in driving their car. Mimicked after the factory cup car style shift knob and assembly, this makes banging through the gears a lot more fun. We also wanted to maintain OEM+ style for this build as Porsche interiors already have great features from the factory. The height of the shifter is increased about 3 inches over the stock PDK lever.
