Today i saw a comment discussing that Tanya is either Lawfull Evil or Chaoric Neutral

Whatchathink about it?

That is a very hard question, as morality is really subjective, but if I were to choose one of the moral alignments to Tanya it would be Lawful Evil and here's my reasoning:

Tanya whole life philosophy, at least in the beginning, is that by following the rules, making smart decisions and exploiting the system she could climb the social ladder and be able to enjoy a peaceful life where she wouldn't have to work as hard, so she's definitely not chaotic. However Tanya is incredibly individualistic, lacking empathy to others, only viewing humans as "numbers" according to Rerugen, and she's not afraid to manipulate them to accomplish her goals. Now I don't know abou you, but certainly isn't very good.

Now, one could argue tgat being a individualist isn't necessarily bad, and they'd be right, however Youjo Senki criticises aspects of this philosophy with the character of Tanya, with her superiority complex, even believing to be better than God, and possible sociopathic behavior with the whole laughing maniacally while killing people. (Also, Tanya willing comits actions that would have been considered war crimes in her original universe)

At the end of the day Youjo Senki is a incredibly complex and clever narrative that while criticises individualism, as I alluded before, but it also points out flaws in collectivism (and let's not even mention it's jabs at religion, rationalism, patriotism and etc...) . You can interpret many themes from this series, so you're perspective pn Tanya could be different from mine, but in my opinion Tanya is Lawful Evil.
