oh man look at all them robots. i just really like seeing big hordes of fictional robots when i look at stuff like robot jones or electric dreams, that kinda art is so cool. fuck yeah

I lied, put your clothes back on. We're gonna talk about how Whatever Happened to...Robot Jones? could have easily been a classic CN cartoon if it got the love from the network it deserved, and now it would be a great time to revive/reboot it, if the network would just it stick to the source material in terms of style and humor.

Any WHtRJ fans here? I'm...heavily hyperfixated on it right now to the point I'm tempted to make a Discord server and possibly dust off my old writing skills and write my own version...one might call it an AU...of my take on things if the series continued and had a timeskip to RJ and friends in a college setting. Why? Because I saw someone say it once that it might eventually be RJ's next learning assignment and that activated my neurons in ways I thought were long fried.

So, Crisis on Infinite Mirths was pretty good I did enjoy watching in general, but...anyone else kinda disappointed that some of the art was traced stock images of the characters?

Like I'm not even gonna lie, I saw Robot Jones was on the roster and that was like my main reason for watching it (knowing damn well it was probably only gonna be a cameo, which it was) but the fact it was legit just a trace of this image you can find off Google:

It's very slight tweening and nothing else was really disappointing. Not even gonna mention what happened to him during the event because that's when I had to cut off the video and take a sec.

Like, on one hand, I can sort of understand that with a lot of characters and different art styles, that it could be expected to wanna reuse old animations, I can understand. But like, at least don't trace images you can find off Google??

Though, I'm lowkey kinda glad to see my boy in something official...but Crossover Nexus did it better for me when it comes to him.
