Okay, I have an idea for introducing Astrotrain in Earthspark.

The kids are minding their own business when suddenly, one of them notices a brief tremble in the ground. Then another. And another.

Bonus points if there's a glass of water with ripples in it.

They're puzzled and confused.

What is that? What's causing it?

Hashtag, with her knowledge of all things's media, knows right then and there that it can only mean one thing.

Something very big was coming their way.

This gets all of them very quiet. Who or what is big enough to make the ground shake?

The tremors get bigger and louder. Robbie and Mo find themselves having to hold onto anything to keep their balance and not fall over.

They all stand in tense silence, weapons drawn, and form a circle around their human siblings in a protective stance.

They wait. The steps get even louder and louder and closer and closer, when suddenly...

It stops.

The children stare in confusion. What happened?

Then they hear a scream.

The Terrans look down to see Mo clinging to Robbie and looking upwards with terror in her wide eyes.

They slowly turn their heads up and freeze.

Towering over the children, standing so high that autobots and decepticons were mere action figures in comparison, was a giant mech.

Though said mech was bested by Megatron once in battle and said deed can be done again with ease on the latter's part, the metal titan was still a force that very few beings would dare reckon with.

Blazing red optics gazed down at the trembling group, and they knew right then and there who the mysterious earth shaker was.

Astrotrain.

k before doing a Sweetest Scoundrel relisten I decided to jump my brain with a Darling Beast relisten because that's the one I remember least in Maiden Lane (not due to quality, imo, I just wasn't in the mood when I read it years ago) and like.............................

Imagine the world we'd be in if Maiden Lane was adapted versus The Other One. Instead of random Gowns, Beautiful Gowns moments we'd have crazy dudes running around wearing masks and killing like, child traffickers, and pleasure gardens set on fire, and heroes living in their own walls for MONTHS, and it would be so fun.

don't get me wrong I actually really love Kokomi's design a lot, but after wading in Enkanomiya for so long, I am now bitter that we hadn't gotten Mimi's design instead because of how much it references back to Orobashi.

The first thing that I noticed was the coral piece on Mimi's hair rather than the fin-like accessory's on Kokomi's. The coral piece reminds of the coral branches that Orobashi would break off his own body to give to his people

If they went with the coral piece, it would have made for the perfect symbol of her as the Divine Priestess, both as the one to inherit Orobashi's will and then being the light for the people of Watatsumi

And then the pearls!! They probably are Sango Pearls, but I was thinking it might be something referenced in the "Pearl Cage" of the Ocean-hued Clam artifacts. Pearls were once gifts from Orobashi to the first shrine maiden Mouun.

Having Mimi wear the pearls is a reminder of Orobashi's blessing and also Orobashi's will to "pursue daylight."

Otherwise, I also kinda like how it looks a lot more like a shrine maiden's outfit compared to the newer design. Is this post like two years late? Yeah lol but it be the "fixating on Watatsumi lore" that got me teehee <3
