i saw this picture from facebook. it is somewhere in Abra. see the beautiful mountain range? that is Sierra Nadre I was told. Picture perfect, right? I was told properties in that place are not pricey. a friend gave me some estimates and when i checked my bank account I could buy naman a decent-sized lot and build a nice house with a backyard where my dogs can run around.
Plus, from Abra I can visit places in Northern Luzon like La Union, Vigan, Pagudpud and the Cagayan areas on a road trip.
Tumblr media
There is also the option to live in Zambales. Although my grandparents have a property in Cabangan, I think I should get my own place. The thing here is, property prices are steadily rising as Zambales is becoming more popular given it is near Metro Manila. On top of that, there is the problem of duplicate land titles used by scammers, so one must be cautious when buying.
Tumblr media
on one side, my dear friend, fatima, decided to ditch the city and opted to relocate in Zambales. in her own words, this is her "beach life" era. Indeed, the bitch is living her best life as time does not control her as she paces her daily routine the way she sees it: morning walks by the sea, biking along scenic places, and eating fresh produce.
which now brings me to ask myself, can I now live my own life the way I really want it?
If you were to ask me, I do so want to move and start anew. I need a place by the sea if not, a farm I would settle. I don't mind planting vegetables and raising chickens for my sustenance. I would like to waste time by the beach and ride the bike around town and nearby places. I want time to slow because life is too short and I want to enjoy every moment and adventure it has to offer.

april 8, 2024 | 12:18am
hi there! you haven't missed much here. i've been spending a lot of time with my friends and my partner. to start,
march 21-23 - i went to vigan with friends. to be specific, thalia (ofcourse, she deserves to be mentioned first. i love that bitch) , -redacted name bc i hate her- , russ, gerah, ash, yana, and mj ! it was fun. the whole trip felt like a turning point for our friendship. we had loads of fun ! lots of laughs, loud noises. we were basically autism, if autism were a group of people.
i had been breaking my back for research. my friends are included, i struggle opening up to them about how much of my soul is slowly dying due to the paper. will open up, but maybe next week.
year book pictorial ! dam i looked semi-like shit. it was a comical experience, so i don't really mind. it was a character developing-ish moment. mj and thalia had my back after i bawled my eyes out over how unready i was. after the breakdown, i was rejuvenated back into being a bad bitch. especially after finding out the class prude student cried over how ugly she was. i haven't gotten that bad yet lol.
joined an outreach program. *i fed the other half* ... i'm joking !
been doing well in school, i haven't had a single absent since March 7, 2024.
i've been recommended to do community service, no suspension for two major offenses: cutting class and leaving school premises without consent. it's honestly fine. i'll be going home from school much later, 4:30pm. i think?
i think i gained some weight. about 3-4kgs. it's all good. i can bounce back with just less eating. we're good. i'm fine (?)
found a special place in my heart for thrifting. oh god. i have no money.
i've been spending more time in hotels with my partner.
taste in music? i've been listening to lovey dovey music. my relationship is in one of its best states - we've been communicating more and dealing with our relationship in a healthier way.
i've been finding myself more lately. but like, "FINDING" finding myself. i've been setting more boundaries and standards for my relationships with other people and for myself. i love it !
more more more gifts from my partner. after the shit i've been through? i deserve this. :) i love malik so much.
finals and grad coming sooon ! college better watch out.
planning to focus MOOORE this summer on myself. i want to spend more time with friends, family, with malik. look at the mirror more often. find what feels comfortable. find my way back home.
cancelled a trip to elyu. i was too damn tired from pagudpud. 12+ hours sitting on a bus did something to my soul. i FELT my ass turn purple.
mj and yana are a thing now. (a thing i love)
ise went by my house last week asking if she could climb my roof. it was fucking crazy. the bitch's dating a mf sex offender. she also used my name to cut classes. crazy !
speaking of, i've been setting more boundaries diba? emphasis: no more squeezing myself into situations where i'm not needed or looked for. no more forcing myself. i know, it sounds kinda icky. this whole statement sounds like i'm screeching "nO mORe Mr. NiCE gUy" in an icky icky voice. but yeah jokes aside, i'm genuinely proud of myself for this one. no more being a push over. more hatred, but atleast?
malik's been helping me out more often. thankfully. i'm so grateful.
people from the past had been reaching out to me lately. it's kinda crazy.
i love legos now. wowowoweee!
went to manila. moa, rizal park, the national museums. you name it! i also had been going to tags more often with malik too.
i didn't know this list would go this far. you did miss a lot.

Vigan Vistas
We arrived at Vigan, known for its gorgeous Spanish colonial architecture, while traveling through Ilocos Sur on our way to Ilocos Norte. Many of the tricycle drivers there politely offered to give us a tour of the city. The people of Vigan, who take great pride in protecting their cultural legacy, greatly add to the spirit of thankfulness that surrounds the city. The person driving the tricycle also shot some of our photos in various stunning settings and buildings, and occasionally they struck up a conversation with us about the areas we are exploring.
After exploring the area, we went to eat at a nearby canteen where we had the well-known "higado" dish from the Ilocos and the famed Vigan longganisa, which is known for its strong garlic flavor. The crispy, delicious empanadas also told legends of cooking skill that have been passed down through the years. After enjoying in Ilocano meals, we visit a souvenir shop to purchase gifts for our family and friends. A trip to Vigan is an immersive experience that blends history, culture, and the kind hospitality of the Ilocano people. It is impossible not to be struck by the timeless elegance and resilient of this Ilocos Sur city.
Before proceeding to our next destination, the zoological park Baluarte, we also made a visit at the original Vigan cathedral church, founded in 1574. The ornate external elements of the cathedral instantly catch our attention as we get closer. Basically, the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral in Vigan is a source of thankfulness because of its historical significance, architectural heritage, and timeless sanctuary that keeps bringing together the stories of Vigan's rich history.
Our next destination is the Baluarte Zoo Park, which has a farm, garden, museum, and cages of animals such as tigers, lions, iguanas, and many others. We took pictures with the animals there and enjoyed their beautiful farm and museum, which houses a variety of animal structures. We also used their tour service to explore the entire zoo park. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including charming herbivores, magnificent large cats, and unique birds. An appreciation for the work put into providing an enjoyable and engaging home for the animals grows as we go through thoughtfully constructed enclosures, each one crafted to resemble the native habitats of the occupants. A city caught in a moment, Vigan attracts tourists to explore its rich history through its complexly interconnected variety of historical aspects.

Ultimate Vigan Escape: Budget DIY Itinerary for Ilocos Sur Tour
[ TAKEOFFPHILIPPINES.com ] A great time to end my month-long vacation on this New7Wonders in the World, Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Its rich history made it to the list of the Unesco Heritage Site as this city was established roughly 16th century now but still, the preservation of the architectural design are visible in the city even on their urban development program.
The main attraction of tourist here in Vigan is its preservation of almost 187 ancestral house in town, colonial structured churches, donation-driven museums, a free-roaming zoo and local Ilocano restaurants which is a must visit.
Tumblr media
It was an exciting trip that I can’t forget as this was our first trip together with Gab going up north in Ilocos Region. It was really tiring but fun at the same time as we were simply backpackers. You can roam around the city within 2 - 3 days. We’ve got to experience The Ultimate Vigan Escape for a rough estimate of Php 5,000.
Here are a travel guide and a sample DIY itinerary going to Vigan if your planning to visit this city soon.
Where to Ride Going to Vigan?
As Vigan is located here in Luzon, we can either go for a land or air transportation. There are many Vigan Tour Package offerings on every travel agency that you could try. It may include a van going to Vigan for an easy and worry-free trip but As for us, we decided to ride a bus. We felt that the best way to enjoy the trip is to experience riding it on the public transportation.
Tumblr media
We tried Partas Bus using their Online Booking System. There are several bus companies you can try on your Vigan trip but since convenience is our priority we ride on a Partas Bus. I recommend their good and fast service on accommodating our concern during our trip.
Express Bus Via TPLEX Fare: Php 760.00 (1 route, 5 - 6 hours travel time, 1 Stopover in between)
Riding a Partas First Class Express got us the following privileges:
Cuts your travel time by up to 4 hours! (Pasay to Laoag)
No passenger pick-ups along the road
Only one stopover
TPLEX

Touring Around Vigan: Mode of Transportation
Vigan is a capital in Ilocos Sur that you can encapsulate your activities with just a day or two since its just a small town. Tourist spots along the Vigan proper are walking distance from each other but always prepare yourselves with a big bottled water and umbrella since the scorching heat of the sun is very imminent. Places like Baluarte, River Cruise, Mindoro Beach, Bantay Church Bell Tower seems to need to go for a ride since its a bit far.
Tumblr media
The main transportation used by people here is either the tricycle or a kalesa (horse-drawn carriages). If you’re looking for a more intimate time I would suggest riding a kalesa to enjoy the scenery but if you have limited time like us I would prefer riding a tricycle.
Tricycle Fee: Php 20 - up (Depends on the distance)
Kalesa Fee: starts at Php 150
Where to Stay in Vigan?
While exploring the streets of Vigan, we’ve noticed that each corner has numerous choice of hotels, inns and transient houses. Name it! You won’t have any problems looking for one. All you have to do is to be keen in looking for more affordable and cheaper rooms from the internet.
Luckily we found the right tool to search for affordable hotels in Vigan by using Traveloka. Traveloka helps you book your hotels and flights in less than 5 minutes with just a click away. They even had promos that you can use while booking.  You can check their website or download their app on Android and IOS to try it first hand on this travel booking app.
Since we want to visit all the well-known tourist spots around Vigan City with less cost but still has a decent accommodation we landed on Mel Sol’s Inn and Resort at Bantay, Ilocos Sur, a 5-6 minutes tricycle ride from Vigan Proper.

When in Vigan: Where to Go?
We arrived at Vigan earlier than expected, we didn’t foresee that our bus has a new that's why we have ample time to roam around and go to church to start our Sunday with a positive outlook.
Simbaan A Basit
Liberation Blvd, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
It is located at the edge of a Cemetery in Vigan. According to history, the cemetery chapel was built over a century now and it is dedicated to Santo Cristo also known in Ilocos as “Apo Lakay” who is believed to save Vigan’s populace from a plague in 1756 and 1882.
Tumblr media
The chapel’s marker bears that the cemetery was blessed by Rev. Vicente Barreiro on Nov. 9, 1852 but the chapel’s interior now looks modern with all the repairs done through the years. Its name "Simbaan a Bassit" literally means "Small Church", since it’s a small it can only accommodate up to 100 people.
Tumblr media
Vigan Heritage Village - Calle Crisologo
Crisologo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
After a mass at Simbaan A Basit, we decided to stroll around Vigan and search the well known Vigan Heritage Village wherein it was considered as a UNESCO Heritage Site as it helps out preserved the culture and history of Ilocos Region.
Tumblr media
You can explore those old houses with a century older than me by riding a Kalesa (horse wagon)  or by simply walking on the streets, as it also helps out burn some calories. It is much appreciated during the night as you can feel the romantic ambiance and stunningly beautiful light post in the area.
Mostly you can have your dinner on this streets as they have plenty restaurants to choose from and buy some cool stuffs on souvenir shops.
Tumblr media
Vigan Cathedral / St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral
Burgos St., Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
After not so far from Vugan Heritage Village you can visit again a nearby church. Vigan Cathedral, It is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. It serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia.
According to history, The church itself was built in 1641 to replace the chapel and became a cathedral when the seat of the Diocese of Nueva Segovia was transferred here from Lal-lo, Cagayan in 1758, but not before being ravaged by a fire in 1739.
Tumblr media
The Cathedral of Vigan, as it is sometimes called, is a stunning tribute to Baroque architecture modified by the Ilocanos to survive earthquakes. It also has a bit of Chinese influence thanks to the carvings of lion dogs beside the outermost doors.
Plaza Salcedo
Plaza Salcedo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
Tumblr media
Right in front of Saint Paul Metropolitan Cathedral is the Plaza Salcedo, named after the Spanish conqueror, Juan de Salcedo who subdued the early native settlement in Vigan and established upon it Villa Fernandina for the monarchs of Spain in 1572. With this, Juan de Salcedo founded the third of many Hispanic settlements in the Philippines. Plaza Salcedo was the site of the execution of Gabriela Silang in September 1763.
According to history, the plaza was susceptible to fire during the Spanish regime. So the plan then was to create a man-made lagoon to minimize fire incidents. The original concept dating back several years ago is retained until March 2013 wherein a dramatic addition has been added to the once quiet and laid back park in between the Vigan Cathedral and the Ilocos Sur Capitol. The addition is a majestic dancing fountain.

Filipino Dishes
Filipino cuisine is composed of the cuisines of more than a hundred distinct ethnolinguistic groups found throughout the Philippine archipelago.
Arroz Caldo
Tumblr media
Arroz Caldo-Chicken Soup
While chicken soup soothes sick Westerners, Filipinos turn to arroz caldo, a thick chicken rice porridge.
Cooked with ginger and sometimes garnished with a hard-boiled egg, toasted garlic and green onions, this Filipino food is sold in street-side stalls.
If dining al fresco doesn't suit, there's the Via Mare outlets around Manila.
Ilocos Empanada
Tumblr media
Ilocos Empanada
Yes, its name reveals its Spanish origins.
But its ingredients are all local.
Grated unripe papaya or bean sprouts, egg and loganiza (pork sausage) are stuffed in the empanada and deep fried, accompanied with a spicy vinegar sauce.
Get this staple Filipino food from stalls beside the cathedrals in Vigan and Laoag.
Bibingka
Tumblr media
Bibingka
For many Filipinos, Christmas is marked by the scent of bibingkas cooking at dawn.
These rice cakes are made by soaking the rice overnight, grinding it with a mortar stone and mixing in coconut milk and sugar.
Laborious.
The batter is poured into clay pots with banana leaves, with coals on top and below.
It's garnished with salted eggs, kesong puti (white cheese made from Carabao's milk) and slathered with butter, sugar and grated coconut.
Best eaten hot from weekend markets.
The best one is from Aling Linda at the Sidcor Sunday Market at Centris Mall, Edsa, Quezon City.
For the rest of the week, there's Via Mare or Ferino's Bibingka with branches all over Metro Manila.
Turon
Tumblr media
Turon
This fried banana with langka (jackfruit) all sealed in a lumpia wrapper is our version of a sweet spring roll.
It is peddled around the cities and towns for the perfect merienda (mid-morning or afternoon snack).
Pork Barbecue
Tumblr media
Pork barbecue
In a country where almost everything is marinated, skewered and grilled in the street corners, everyone has their favorite barbecue meat.
Pork is the most popular.
Cebu is known for barbecue stalls along Larsian Street just off Fuente Osmena Circle.
Manila residents are addicted to that from Ineng's, which has many outlets in Metro Manila, for its big, chunky pieces of pork with a perfect, salty-sweet marinade.
If you haven't tried these dishes, you should now! And enjoy eating it with your family and friends!

Have you ever felt a baby kick? Yeah, when my mom was pregnant with my brother.
What color pants/shorts are you wearing? I have red shorts on at the moment.
When is the last time you did something truly fun, and what was it? Last Friday, I’d say? Hahaha. Counted down the hours and minutes before the Butter MV drop, celebrating and freaking out with Army when it finally came out, watched the OT7 VLive that happened that afternoon, and streamed the video for nearly 24 hours straight so we could break some records, all of which we ended up achieving. It feels great to stan a group again after being out of the loop for so long lol.
What was the scariest moment of your life? A few men have lunged towards me - just to get attention, I guess? - in the past, while I was just peacefully walking. I always hear them snickering once I’ve flinched, and I always ended up crying once I’ve processed the situation.
Have you ever heard of Leonard Cohen? I know of the name, but I have no clue who he is or what he does (did?).
Pancakes or flapjacks? I don’t even know what flapjacks are, so let’s go with pancakes.
What kind of computer are you on? I’m using a Macbook Air.
Do you eat Chinese food? If so, what's your favorite dish? Yes. Minced pork with eggplant.
What are you usually doing at midnight? On weekdays, I spend it in bed, either watching videos or already reading fanfics to get ready to turn in. On Friday nights and weekends, I will usually be found on the rooftop taking a survey or two.
Have you ever developed feelings for a friend, but you were already with someone? No, I’ve never developed feelings for another person while in a relationship.
If so, how did it turn out?
Give me your brief definition of love. I will always stick by this quote, “Love never says, ‘I have done enough.’”
What is the most beautiful part of the human body, male or female? This is subjective, of course, but personally I find it to be thighs.
What kind of shoes do you wear? I’m not wearing any at the moment; but in general, I like to wear sneakers.
What is the worst thing you've ever done when you were really angry? Physical violence.
Are there any pills you take on a daily basis? If so, what? Nope.
Do you like the smell of coconuts? Not so much. I like coconut milk, though.
What is the heaviest you think you can lift? I think my personal best was like 60 or 70 lbs, back when I had weight training classes for PE in college. I remember being in so much pain once I gave the 80 lbs barbell a shot.
Do you take Tums? No.
Have you ever walked on a pier at the beach? ...Ugh. I’m pretty sure I’ve taken this survey very recently but I might as well just take it again because I don’t feel like searching for another. Anyway, I haven’t... at least not that I can remember.
How about under one? Definitely not.
At what age do you first remember feeling butterflies in your stomach around someone? I was around 12 when I was starting to feel confused about getting nervous around Andi.
Do you feel that way around anyone now? I don’t.
Do you ever talk to yourself or think deep thoughts while on the toilet? No haha but I usually bring my phone with me to keep me company.
Do you ever sing to yourself? Pretty often.
What is a sound that relaxes you? Ocean waves.
How hard has it been to reach your main goal in life? I don’t have a main goal set in life. I just live in the now and try to do things or make decisions that would keep me consistently happy.
Do you remember the song about hoes in different area codes? HAHAHAHAHA definitely took this recently; this is so embarassing. No, I still don’t know about this song.
What is your main heritage? Filipino.
What kind of pickles do you prefer, if you like pickles? I hate pickles and I find them absolutely nasty, but there are other pickled things I like, like radishes.
What kind of cheese do you prefer, if you like cheese? Mozzarella and feta.
If you could have a sea creature as a pet, what would you want? No thanks. I’m not capable of providing them proper care.
How about a farm animal? I would just stick to dogs.
So, do you have hoes in different area codes?
What is the most annoying song you can think of that came out recently? I’ve been in a BTS bubble for a solid month or so and I honestly can’t tell you my opinion about songs that have recently come out, because I literally don’t know any.
What is a song that you hate to admit you like? There isn’t any I’m guilty about.
What inspires you to get off your bum and do something productive? Knowing I’ll feel accomplished once I do it.
Do you ever use Urban Dictionary? Never anymore. I used to browse through it only when I was a lot younger.
Do you find the definitions on there to be generally funny or stupid? Both.
What comes to your mind when you hear the word 'transformation'? The Transformers series, lol.
What was something you regularly played with as a child? I always liked clay and I never really graduated from that interest, since I find the texture fascinating and fun to play with.
Have you ever given in to peer pressure? Sure.
If so, what did you do? I had my first sip of alcohol at Kaira’s 18th birthday and I was feeling left out since literally everyone else was drinking. For vaping, Gabie introduced it to me; and for smoking, it was another case of FOMO that made me want to try it out.
What part of your body have you had the most problems with in your life? My back.
Do a lot of people check you out when you're in public? Idk? I don’t take note of that kind of attention, anyway; I would find it creepy.
How many people do you know for sure to be interested in you right now? Zero.
What is a good name for a turtle? I think it would be the same process as the way I think it would be for any other pet; it would depend on their personality, their aura, etc.
Can you imitate any accents well? If so, which one(s)? Not really. I can read Hangul and am familiar with the different tonalities used in Korean but I wouldn’t say my imitation would be considered spot-on.
Do you like having your ear nibbled on? Yes.
What makes a good kisser a good kisser? When they know how to use their tongue in a teasing way, for one. Eugh it’s too early for this lol
How many times a year do you have a family thing? What even is a family thing?
What are the best things to put in a smoothie? I don’t like smoothies.
Do you ever eat with your eyes closed and just focus on the taste? Yup, especially when I’m either eating somewhere pricey or when I’m eating at one of my favorite restaurants.
What do you dislike most about where you live right now? It’s a pretty uneventful city, and if I want to have some fun I always have to go to Manila.
Has anyone ever given you a rose/roses? Yup.
Are you watching your weight? No.
Have you ever became really good friends with someone you found online? Yes. Aliyah and I are still friends and I’m glad we’ve been able to maintain our friendship even after mine and Gab’s falling out. It’s a shame the three of us didn’t get to meet in real life though, and it will 100% never happen now. I also used to have a group of Twitter friends back in my wrestling stan days but it’s been a very long time since we’ve gone our separate ways. I have yet to find friends on Army Twitter but I really doubt I would get to build established friendships any time soon because EVERYONE IS SO YOUNG OVER THERE
What makes your best friend your best friend? They understand me better than anyone else does.
Do you have a drunk uncle? I have a couple of them.
Do you hear weird noises in your house at night? Nope.
What is something you do that is generally more like something the opposite sex does? Ignoring this question.
What is the girliest thing you do, if you're a girl? Also ignoring this.
What is the coolest tattoo you've ever seen? I find line tattoos to be pretty cool and beautiful in general. The minimalist look it goes for works really well.
Have you ever created anything artistic that you're proud of? If so, what? That vase I molded during my Vigan trip :) It was the first (and so far) only thing I’ve made from scratch, and even though I didn’t get to take it home, I’m still glad I had the opportunity to try pottery.
Do you only eat the middle of the oreo, if you eat oreos? No? That’s pretty wasteful. I eat the whole cookie.
Do you know anyone with a huge ego? Hahahahaha. Yes.
If so, is there anything else about them you actually like? Not anymore, no.
Have you ever used a racial slur, even jokingly? Most likely as a stupid teenager when I didn’t know any better.
Do you have any friends who are more like siblings to you? Angela and Laurice.
If so, what about them do you like most? They’re very easy to talk to, and they’re both selfless and generous.
What is everyone else in your house doing right now? My mom is making dinner while I believe everyone else is just on their phones waiting for the dish to be made.
What is the most money you've ever had at one time? I don’t remember the exact amounts anymore but my mom used to hand me cheques and regularly assign me to pay for me and my sister’s tuition back in grade school and high school, since she had work during the day and didn’t have time to stop by the school herself.
How long do you think it would take you to run a mile? I don’t know but definitely longer than what would be considered a decent duration for a fit person.
Look down. What do you see? I can see my legs but just barely since it’s dark out.
What is a subject that makes you uncomfortable? Topics I don’t know too much about.
What is a subject you can talk on and on about and not get sick of it? BTS, my field, and history.
What kind of mood were you in most of today? Comfortable. We had the aircon on all day and I just watched BTS MVs and live performances, and I don’t really feel bad about being unproductive for once.
Has anyone ever walked in on you naked? Just once or twice.
Tell me an inside joke you have with someone. Togepi.
What is the worst thing someone could do to you emotionally? Tell me hurtful words.
What is the worst thing you've ever done to someone emotionally? Idk...maybe cut them off unexpectedly? I'll usually have no problem doing this with people who make me uncomfortable.
How do you feel now about the first person you ever dated? Nothing. She’s not in my life.
How about the last person (your last ex)? She’s the same person.
What is the best invention ever invented? The internet.
What is something that needs to be invented? Not a completely new invention but I wish programs that can identify songs for you, like Siri, can be more improved to be able to recognize songs just by humming the tone. So far they can only name songs if you play it clearly for a few seconds, but it can be a hassle if I wanna have access to a certain song but only remember the melody and otherwise have no idea what the lyrics are or who sang them.
Describe your eyes. I don’t think they’re anything special. I don’t count them as a striking feature of mine.
What always makes you burp? Eating quickly. And beer.
What is something you hate doing that most couples do? There isn’t anything.
What's your astrological sign? Taurus.
What are you doing tomorrow? I wanna finally watch the Friends reunion special since I didn’t feel like watching it today. I also have a press release to write for one of my clients – they requested for it Friday and want it by Monday :(

Good day tourists! I am Jheslyn D. Uclusin, a member of Department of Tourism assigned to promote tourist spots in Ilocos Sur that assures happiness, greatness, refreshment, felicity and relaxation. I will make sure that you might encounter the best travel experienced here in Ilocos Sur. What are we waiting for? Come on, join me to enjoy the beautiful places here in Ilocos Sur😉.
The province is known for its rich culture, arts and history, the heritage sites, adventure parks, and of course, the food. But this time, we'll be putting the highlight on the beautiful places to visit here in Ilocos Sur.
Vigan is the capital of the province. Vigan is famous for its well-preserved Spanish Colonial town, historical Vigan tourist spots, and delicious food and delicacies. Because of its charm, it has been inscribed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Joining a day to trip to Vigan is a good idea if you want to explore other tourist spots as well.
1. Calle Crisologo
Tumblr media
Calle Crisologo is Vigan’s most popular tourist attraction. The grounds and pavements of this preserved street are made of cobblestones, and both sides are lined with ancestral houses that are reminiscent of old Spanish towns.
During the daytime, the street is a busy commercial district, with most shops selling quality antiques, furniture, and jewelry pieces.
You can indulge yourself in souvenir shopping, including native food products and delicacies, or snag world-class hand-woven clothing, blankets, and other accessories at Rowilda’s Weaving.
You can ride a kalesa (horse-drawn carriage), which is the only vehicle plying Calle Crisologo.
A kalesa ride is good for an hour and can take you around Calle Crisologo and the rest of the Vigan Heritage Village, including the Vigan Cathedral and Plaza Burgos.
It’s a totally different scene at night, as Calle Crisologo transforms into a dining strip where loads of people eat alfresco and enjoy drinks to cap the night off.
There are a lot of Calle Crisologo tours to try from, make sure to choose the one that fits your budget, schedule, and type of experience.
2. Pagburnayan Jar Factory
Tumblr media
The address is Liberation Blvd, Vigan City. One good thing about touring Vigan is that you get to learn a lot about its history, culture, and way of life through the town’s homegrown establishments.
Take for example Pagburnayan Jar Factory, one of the very few remaining jar factories around Vigan. It’s a popular must-try cultural activity in Vigan.
In order to help people appreciate the industry of jar-making, the factory is open for tourists who want to see and experience pottery making first hand, from simple, basic designs to more artistic earthen jars.
The staff will also tell you an interesting background about the origins of pagburnayan, the art of producing jars, which was inspired by Chinese traders who came to settle in Vigan and then later intermarried with Ilocanos and Ilocanas.
Tumblr media
Located within a good walking distance from Plaza Salcedo, this plaza is named after Padre Jose Burgos, whose statue stands as a reminder of the priest’s martyrdom in fighting the Spanish regime.
Here, you can take pictures, go people watching, or simply give your tired legs some resting time after a long walk around the area.
If you’re feeling hungry, you can grab a quick bite of the best-selling empanada, a kind of pastry turnover filled with minced meat, vegetables, and egg, which is one of Ilocos’ specialty food products on this side of the town.
It’s best to come here in the late afternoon or just before the sun sets since it can get pretty hot in this open space.
If you want to visit more tourist spots in Vigan, City just click this link:
3. Kaparkan Falls
Tumblr media
Kaparkan falls located at the Tineg, Abra. Abra’s falls come alive during the rainy season which is sometime from August to September. The rest of the year it stays dry leaving the limestone terraces empty. Even if you want to visit during the dry season, you won’t be able to because the area is closed off.
As mentioned, Kaparkan Falls is regulated by the local government. The max carrying capacity of the falls is 100 people at a time so visitors are only allowed in batches. Three hours are allotted per batch so maximize your stay at this natural wonder! Keep in mind that you might have to wait for your turn if a group arrives before you.
You can further climb down the pools to explore the area more. The limestone steps are not slippery despite being wet, but exercise caution anyway. Please be advised that there is no rest room in the area.
4. Sangbay ni Ragsak (Falls of Happiness)
Tumblr media
Sangbay ni Ragsak is located at the Suyo. It was first named as Burayok and named Sangbay ni Ragsak by Barangay Captain of Patoc-ao August of 2007. It is approximately 30 m in height. Its natural formation is inherent to mountain terrain. It attracts local and foreign tourists seeking ecological and natural surroundings to enjoy. Its pool area is not deep for diving. Nevertheless, it’s good for dipping with its cool waters.
5. Banaue Rice Terraces (Filipino: Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe)
Tumblr media
The Banaue Rice Terraces are terraces that were carved into the mountains of Banaue, Ifugao, in the Philippines, by the ancestors of the indigenous people. The terraces are occasionally called the "Eighth Wonder of the World". It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The whole address is  Nueva Vizcaya - Ifugao - Mountain Province Rd, Banaue, Ifugao.
8.  Yamashita Cave
Tumblr media
Yamashita Cave is located at the Cervantes. Yamashita cave was the barracks of General Yamashita during the World War II wherein he and his soldiers executed their last stand in the war. The cave was found in the depths of the mountains. Rumors said that treasures are found beneath the cave which has the range of 64 meters.
9. Skyline
Tumblr media
The whole address of this skyline is Santiago - Banayoyo - Lidlidda - San Emilio - Quirino Rd, Quirino, Ilocos Sur. Visitors planning to visit the place would have to travel roads that could remind them of their Baguio City trips with all the long, winding and steep roads.  As visitors traverse the twisty mountain road, they would surely feel the temperature getting much cooler.  Drivers really need to be more defensive as visibility sometimes gets reduced due to fogs.
So you can witness for yourself the unfolding of the breath-taking yet sometimes rare sea of clouds, it is advised to travel early so you can arrive at around 5 AM.  If you are lucky as we were, the clouds will be there for your enjoyment.
Skyline has a view deck and they are currently constructing a new one.  When it is clear and it’s not foggy, the view deck offers a bird’s eye view of Quirino, Ilocos Sur, Tubo mountains and the Abra river.  Often in late afternoons, fogs would descend and there won’t be much of a view.  Your only consolation would be the teeth-clattering wind.
The place is gaining popularity here in Ilocos Sur and in our neighboring provinces like Abra and La Union.  Some riders from Baguio and Manila even take a detour to Quirino just to avail themselves of the sea of clouds without having to see one in Mt. Pulag.
For the hungry visitors, there’s a nearby store that offers hot water and cup noodles.  But of course, you can always bring your own coffee and snacks.  Just be sure to leave nothing but your footprints.  For a better outdoor experience, some visitors would even bring their camping tents and stay there overnight.
10. Hidden Garden
Tumblr media
The address is  008 Katipunan St, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.  Hidden Garden features a restaurant and a cafe in a relaxing setting filled with tropical plants and flowers, carved wooden sculptures, and lots of clay pots. Taste some local delicacies at the restaurant or just walk around the garden past a bonsai corner, an artificial grotto, and a large birdcage housing white cockatoos. You can also buy some plants and burnay jars--unglazed traditional pots typical for Vigan. So you must bring money and personal hygiene etc.

Hi! I am Christine Joy Ullero, and I would like to introduce the Department of Tourism to promote Tourist Spot in Ilocos Sur. So let start.
Tumblr media
Ilocos Sur tourist spots and Vigan always tops the mind. While it’s undoubtedly fascinating, Ilocos Sur is more than the cobblestone streets of Vigan.
The province is known for its rich culture and history, the heritage sites, adventure parks, and of course, the food. But this time, we’ll be putting the highlight on the beautiful places to visit in Ilocos Sur.
1.Calle Crisologo
Tumblr media
If you want to travel back in time, Calle Crisologo is the best place to be. This tourist spot in Vigan City is a street of old Spanish structures, mostly houses of wealthy families and Filipino-Chinese traders. This is where you’ll see the famous cobblestone streets that represent Vigan’s image.
2. Vigan Cathedral
Tumblr media
Another Vigan Ilocos Sur tourist spot to check out is the St. Paul’s Cathedral. Also known as Vigan Cathedral, it is considered a major religious landmark not only of northern Luzon but the country as well. The original structure was built in 1574 with wood and thatch. It was just a mere chapel then. It was only in 1641 when it was turned into a church and was completed in 1800.
The Vigan Cathedral follows a Baroque architectural design that has been modified by Ilocanos to strengthen the structure against earthquakes which is known as “Earthquake Baroque.” Don’t miss this as it is one of the most beautiful Vigan tourist spots.
3. Bantay church Bell Tower
Tumblr media
The Bantay Church Bell Tower served as the town’s watchtower in 1591. The magnificent view that this tourist attraction in Ilocos Sur may have been the reason why it was supposedly “Diego and Gabriela Silang’s favorite date spot during the 17th century.”
4. Baluarte Resort and Mini zoo
Tumblr media
Looking for a tourist spot in Vigan City that kids would love? You’ll never go wrong with Baluarte Resort and Mini Zoo. Just 10 minutes away from Calle Crisologo, Baluarte Resort and Mini Zoo lets you get close to nature’s wonderful creatures from cute little birds to big cats a.k.a. tigers. This Vigan Ilocos tourist spot is also dubbed as the “Home of the Big Cats in Vigan,” as it shelters Bengal tigers, white lions, and leopards.
5.Crisologo Museum
Tumblr media
Crisologo Museum is an ancestral home-turned-museum belonging to one of Vigan’s most prominent sons, the late congressman Floro S. Crisologo. His wife, Carmeling, had their home converted in memory of Floro after he was assassinated in Vigan Cathedral.
6.Plaza Salcedo
Tumblr media
Located between Vigan Cathedral and the Provincial Capitol, Plaza Salcedo is a great spot for picture taking at day and turns to a stage of dancing lights at night. The water in the fountain is always right on cue and dances to the beat of the music. What a sight to catch while munching on the best Vigan empanada. Don’t miss this Vigan Ilocos tourist spot for a fun night!
7.Ilocos Sur Adventure Zone
Tumblr media
If you’re looking for some adrenaline rush, add Ilocos Sur Adventure Zone to your Ilocos Sur itinerary. Here you can ride a zip line that  traverses the towns of Santa and Bantay, so you have a perfect view of the Abra River down below as well as the old and new Quirino bridges.
The sports and recreation facility also offers more adrenaline-pumping activities like a giant swing, kayaking, and rock climbing and rappelling at the rocky Banaoang mountains. This is definitely one of the most fun tourist spots in Ilocos Sur that’s hard to miss.
8.Padre Burgos House
Tumblr media
If you’ve read Philippine history books, you’ll surely be familiar with the three martyr priests during the Spanish times: GomBurZa. Among those three priests lived in Ilocos Sur and that is Padre Jose Burgos. His home is now a famous attraction in Ilocos Sur. Padre Burgos House features different exhibits and a look to the priest’s life.
9.Hidden Garden
Tumblr media
Another attraction in Ilocos Sur that will delight your eyes and tummy is Hidden Garden in Vigan. It’s not just a garden though as there are food stalls and a cafe where you can eat while appreciating the beautiful view. They also sell plants and flowers there.

Life Lessons From Dogs - Quarantine Edition
by: Keith Anne Sabiniano
“The love of a dog is a pure thing. He gives you a trust which is total. You must not betray it.” – Michel Houellebecq
Before the pandemic started, I went home here in my hometown immediately because I was scared that I will get locked down in the city. So, the day they suspended classes, I went home and packed my stuff and got in a 5:30am bus going to Vigan. And when I got off the bus, my cousins were waiting for me and helped me with my luggage. I can already see our dogs waiting from afar already wagging their tails. When we got into our house, the dogs already started jumping on me and they made me feel so happy like it’s their way of telling me “welcome back home Keith! We missed you so much! Where have you been?! You were gone for so long!” Them jumping because I was home really made me feel that I’m really home.
Tumblr media
Ever since I was a kid, I really loved dogs. My dad had a lot of dogs when we were all still living in Baguio. And when I was 7, my mom got us a dog and I named him Cyruz, a 3-month old Japanese Spitz x Shih Tzu by that time. He was actually my mom’s dog. When my mom passed away last 2013, Cyruz also died when it was my mom’s first death anniversary in 2014.
Tumblr media
My life during quarantine is not that really boring. Besides from hanging out with my cousins, going out for some errands, chatting with my best friends online, and just sleeping, I am always accompanied by our dogs. Especially Ebony, our corgi-looking dog (but he’s not really a corgi, he’s an aspin) and my tita got a new dog and we named him Jco (yes, after the donut shop). Our new dog.  These two are really giving me love ever since. They always cheer me up and they give nose boops when they know I’m sad and they give kisses every time I wake up in the morning. They never made me feel that I am alone.
Tumblr media
During this pandemic also, Home is not really that “stress free” environment. I’m getting annoyed by the presence of some people here, and they are also giving points that they don’t want me around. I still have breakdowns due to my mental health breaking down. And something also happened particularly last June. Days after we got Jco, we lost Ebony. Someone killed him and that made me so depressed for a month. But I am okay now but a part of me still misses him. Like, a lot. He’s been a good pup since the day we adopted him.
Tumblr media
So Jco is the only one who keeps me company right now. He still gives me the cutest boops, and kisses in the morning. Every time I feel stressed about my online requirements I always give him hugs while I pet him and he doesn’t mind it at all, but he gives me kisses as well. He’s my stress reliever. I’ve been teaching him tricks but he’s kind of hard to train him right now since he’s just only a 3-month old puppy. But he already knows how to sit in command. He a muncher. Like literally he eats everything. He loves biscuits and crackers so much that made it his favorite treat every time I train him.
Tumblr media
I’ve learned a lot of things from our dogs. They’ve taught me:
how to be independent
how to be forgiving
how to be loyal
how to enjoy every minute
how to love unconditionally
These soft and gentle babies are indeed a gem. They give color to our pale world, and they show you that life is too short so we have to enjoy it every minute. These furry companion’s colorful and charming personality really teaches you a lot. There are still so many things to learn from your dogs. He can constantly surprise you in so many good ways. His unconditional love, loyalty and companionship really affect your emotional well-being in such a positive way, that he will always be there to brighten your day, whether you’re having a bad one or a good one.

Vigan
First of all, I can tell that it has given me a different and invaluable vision of how the world functions and looks. Yes, to acquire information about the place, we can watch Historical buildings in Vigan and on other TV channels, but once you encounter these places in fact, it is hard to know what these areas are like. Something special is being able to take in the smells, sights, sounds, tastes, touches, and more of a venue. We acquire a vision of what life is like in distinct ways through the senses.
My visit to the place of Vigan City gives me a memorable adventure, during that day I have experienced the days of having a great time together with my team mates since I visited the city during the Palarong Pambansa days. It was April of 2018 the day I have visited the place and conquered it without my parents. It is unusual because they are not with me during that moment. I thanked the Lord for being the controller of everything. I have already wished of going to Vigan City but unfortunately, things and some sort of reasons sometimes will not allow us. During the declaration of the location where our coaches told us where the location of the competition is we are all screaming and happy because finally, we are going there. I would say that the long wait has finally over.
The competition was held at the Vigan sports complex with a massive ground. Since it is my first time going to such an amazing place I would love to travel and visit each of the most known places that tourists would love to go to. After the days of the competition, I was amazed by how the people in Vigan City because of their good characteristics that were shown to us. The people in the City were very hospitable and exhibit a great quality of camaraderie towards their visitors.
During the trip, I have observed the place with clean and conducive surroundings for all the players since the palarong pambansa was hosted by said City. All of the participants were catered well and the whole event was peacefully done with the help of their people.
My excitement is immeasurable, for I know that Vigan City is known for its preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture that most of the tourists love to visit because it is historical and one of the reasons why Filipino people are being proud of. I knew that Vigan is famous because of the buildings that are built during the 18th century and up until now they were still intact. As far as I can remember after the day of the competition I together with my teammates and coaches have decided to visit some of the places in Vigan, first, we went to the famous Vigan Cathedral the white beautiful church that was built in 1800. The church was big and people love to visit the church every day, they can also take pictures of it right after they have the service. Trees were tall in the surrounding that gives the place a relaxing scene. Some of the tourists I’ve seen were happily taking a picture and so we did. The Plaza Salcedo in Vigan was mesmerizing, for it has a dancing fountain that would entertain the people and also a tourist spot in the City, the light was bright and was dancing together with a wonderful vibe of the music. After that visit, our coaches have decided that we must call it a day since we have visited already two of the famous spots in the city. In the accommodation site during the night the fun has still on-going, my teammates and coaches are happily sharing their thoughts of views of what are their experience. On the following day, we as a team feel the excitement of another adventure. In the morning we visited the Plaza Burgos this bustling town plaza features a monument of Father Jose P. Burgos, and I have seen a lot of food kiosk in the place. A plaza is a place in the Vigan where people having a great time eating and talking some stuff. People usually visit the place because it is made for them to get some fresh air and see some great ambiance.
After a long time of enjoying, the team has decided to have our lunch in the restaurant near the place. Right after our lunch we immediately proceeded to the world’s famous Calle Crisologo, it is 15th century Spanish street in Vigan, it is considered to be one of the heritage sites in the Philippines. I thought it would only in my dreams to come to this place, I have only watched this place on television but during that day I would say that dreams do come true. The place was preserved and clean. I have the chance to ride the Kalesa together with my teammate and it was one of the best moments in my life. I could only see kalesa in the magazines and pictures on the internet; it gives me chills upon experiencing it personally and rode with it.
I would like to thank the Lord for blessing me with this talent that I have, for it is the reason why I have experienced those wonderful moments in my life. Because of the swimming team, I got the moment of exploring the City of Vigan which a lot of people love to do so, and I went there without spending too much of my money since we are sent there with the proper accommodations. I would never trade that memory for any other since I have enjoyed my stay in the place. In the future, I want to go back to Vigan City together with my family, I want them to see the places that I went through, and experience the kalesa ride together with my siblings, it has a great difference on going to a historic place without your loved ones, I envisioned of having my family together with me to go there and create a memory together.
According to Jack Johnson, ‘’Don’t let your dreams be dreams’’ as I have understood in this statement I would say that if you want to do something in your life fight for it to happen because we only live in this world once, look for the reason for you to be happy and don’t let be your dreams just be dreams, one of my dreams is to go to the place where I could see beautiful and mesmerizing places, and Vigan City showed that places to me. At that moment I never have imagined visiting such a harmonious place. Harmonious because some of the places we have passed by are full of trees and some birds are loudly chattering. It is like a peaceful place for me, after the competition I have thought of relaxing my whole being because it is a tiring competition for me as well as for my teammates. And I would say that the place did not give us false hope but it satisfies our expectations. Traveling is also perfect for making friends. In my travels, I have interacted with so many people that it is difficult to recount all the important people I've met. Some of my most-liked athletes were there and I couldn’t imagine that day of how happy I was. I thought that only in my dreams where I could get to take a picture with them. As well as my old friends were there in the competition/travel that I had. Traveling is, in my view, an important act. It encourages us to see the world from a more holistic view, to purge any divisive nationalism that we harbor, and enables us to make important connections with different people that can build lifelong friendships and even business deals.
As a student, I would like to recommend the place to all of the Filipino people who never try to visit Vigan to see a pleasing place like that. We must first love our own country before being patriotic to the other country. And in the people that are living in Vigan City, I would say that always take good care of the things that God had given to them. Take care of the tourism environment of the place for it is one of the many reasons why the City is booming because of the tourists that keeps on visiting the place because it gives them happiness seeing amazing and historical buildings, and so that our future generation would also see what is the place before, it is part of the history and they must know where the children of our future generation came from. Soon, in the future, if I were going to have my own family I will let them know that I visited a place like has extravagant nature and culture, where people are respectful and hospitable. I would let them know that I went to Vigan City with pride because I joined the competition and an additional prize has won upon exploring there.

Baguio is one of my favorite places because I've been there many times. This photo was taken the second time I went to Baguio, I was just 3 years old the first time I went there. So, it feels like it's my first time again that moment. I felt very excited on the second time around because I imagined that Baguio was a very wonderful place, turns out I am right, I am not disappointed of how Baguio looked, we stayed there for only 3 days that's why I felt a bit sad and unsatisfied because we dont have time to go to other places because we have to go home to La Union after that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was taken when we got to La Union after our stay at Baguio city. It was sad because we don' have enough time to spend at Baguio but after a day spending at the house of the mother of my grand dad at La Union I already enjoyed the company, my lola sa tuhod was already 104 years old that time and we still got the chance to talk to her. The house was so huge that I was able to go around and enjoy, there were so many dragonflies, grasshoppers and butterflies. We spent our first day resting because we got tired from traveling, the second day we went to a grape farm to harvest some of it, we were a bit unlucky, the ground was so mudy because we went there after raining. Third day was our last day so we decided to go to a famous beach located there, and that was the time that I knew that La Union was the surfing capital of the Philippines, There were a lot of Filipino and tourist surfers at the beach it was indeed a great place.
Tumblr media
After La union the next morning we went to Vigan city at Ilocos Sur. There were so many restaurant and delicious food here including their very famous empanada, it was a bit larger than the normal empanada that I used to eat and it was tasty. We also went to the preserved Spanish colonial street know as "Calle Crisologo". It is a street with cobble stone and there were so many old houses and souvenirs. There were also kalesas that was for rent for people who would like to go around and check out the place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After 3 years after we went to Baguio, La Union and Ilocos Sur my auntie went home from London together with my cousins after 10 long years. We went to SM to buy clothes, stuffs and most especially food because we will go back to La Union and Ilocos sur with my auntie's family. We were so excited because after all those years that was the first time in a long time that we were together and we have such a beautiful destination. The first place that we went to was at our house at La Union because that was the the place where we stayed for five days. My lola sa tuhod was still there and she was already 107 years old that time and strong but she did not join us on our trip because she gets tired easily and its not good for her health. Every night ,me and my cousins play cards with my mom and my aunt. It was fun to be with them. We talked about almost everything for hours because we haven't seen each other for how many years. After a week we went home to Bulacan and they still have 2 weeks remaining here thats why we always go to the malls at Manila. Three days before their flight we made a simple gathering and My auntie invited some friends and some relatives and that was the time I introduced Kael to my auntie and cousins and they liked her a lot and everytime that they go home here in the Philippines they always have things or chocolates for Kael.
Tumblr media
This picture above was taken after a year after my auntie came home to the Philippines. We went to Baguio again but it was just the 3 of us, me, mama and my brother Karlo my papa was not with us because he has work that time. We spend 3 days at Baguio but our stay there wasvvery "sulit" because we already know where to go and we managed our time at every places. One of my favorite place was the haunted hotel which everyone calls the diplomat hotel, I liked the place because the last time we went to Baguio we were not able to go here. It was scary at that place because it was very old and it was located at the top most part that is why it is cold there. There were many people that time that's why it was not that scary and it was also daytime. The place was huge and you can already tell that it was old. After taking pictures we went to The Mansion, it is where our president stays when he is at Baguio, we did not enjoy the place that much because there were plenty of people with us that time. After that we went back to the place where we stay because it was getting dark we decided to get some rest for a bit then we went out again to go to the night market where you are able to get good things at cheaper price and there were also a lot of delicious street foods. Next morning was our last day at Baguio it was sad but before we go home we woke up early that day to go to a hot choco cafe named "chocolate de batirol" that was the place where they served the most delicious hot choco at Baguio, I was not disappointed because the hot choco was worth a try. Before we got home we went shopping for stuffs that we will bring home.

El Nido or Coron, Palawan (PHILIPPINES)
Tumblr media
El Nido is not the simplest place to get to, but those pushing through are handsomely rewarded with some of the planet's most beautiful landscapes. The coast is a labyrinth of calcareous cliffs, caves, lagoons, and hidden beaches that you can end up staying and exploring for weeks. Inland is full of waterfalls, hiking paths, and Filipino villages that offer genuine food that you have to try. This, my friends, is the paradise definition.
There are 15 best things to do or experience in El Nido, Palawan
1. Kayaking
You'll want to reach 3 places on your adventure as you head out to Bacuit Bay, the most famous place for kayaking: Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, and Miniloc Island. There will be plenty of tour organizations renting you the kayaks and giving you a map with advice on how to get where you're going. You can also hire a kayak guide for you to follow and navigate.
Tumblr media
2. Big Lagoon
The water of crystal is almost glowing, bringing to life the whole background. Through the transparent water, you can see Sea Urchins, and also little fish. The landscape is amazing all around you with remote islands and winding rock towering over you. If the current doesn't glide you along, you're going to navigate around towering jagged rock walls that look like they're CGI imposed until you get into a little inlet with bright sea foam green water with a little beach in front.
Tumblr media
3. Small Lagoon
The lagoon is so tiny that you can swear that you're the only ones who know about it when you're alone with just your crew. It is possible to see sensitive corals with small fish that mix in with the sand. Moreover, here the water is quite hot!
Tumblr media
4. Twin Beaches
Nacpan Beach is a 4-kilometer stretch of golden sand and powerful waves that produce the most fascinating mix. The waves can get a bit powerful, so swimming close the volleyball courts, where the water is calmer, is only suggested.
Tumblr media
5. Nagkalit-kalit Falls
Both are untouched instances of how beautiful this island is naturally. The waterfall consists of a large vertical steam forming a shallow swimming pool and a narrower waterfall. The trip to Nagkalit-kalit Falls itself, let alone the real waterfall, is a memorable experience.
Tumblr media
6. Tour E- Inland Beaches and Waterfalls Tour
The most famous tour in El Nido is the Tour E-Inland Beaches and the Waterfalls Tour. This tour can get you to Nagkalit-kalit waterfalls.
Tumblr media
7. Las Cabanas Beach
One additional characteristic that stands out is Las Cabanas Beach: a zipline. From the beach, to get to the landing point, you will embark on a 10-minute walk up some stairs.  This zip line isn't scary, but a chance to soak and some  of the most the beautiful landscapes you'll ever see in your life.
Tumblr media
8. El Nido Party Boat
You're going to cruise to 3 or 4 El Nido beaches where you can jump and play. On board there will be a BBQ and snacks throughout the day. In the greatest boat journey ever, snorkel, dance, drink, swim, and make some new friends.
Tumblr media
9. El Nido Full Moon Party
More than just drinking, a Full Moon Party is dancing all night long. It is a gathering of free-spirited individuals dressed in bright colors and glowing face paint, happy with strangers.
Tumblr media
10. Cathedral Caves
You will come within the cave to a seemingly out - of-place Goonies-esque sandy beach with a sunlight beam shining through a tiny opening in the roof.  There are many of soft climbing ledges and take plenty of photo.
Tumblr media
11. Pukka Bar
If you are a party goer, you are fit to this bar where you can eat some seafoods, drink some cold liquor. And to make some friends, so get ready when the night rolls.
Tumblr media
12. Snorkeling
The businesses that organize the snorkeling tours understand where you're taking you to see the most marine life you can. The snorkel tours are actually so popular that staple tours are labeled as A, B, C, and D.
Tumblr media
13. Snake Island (Vigan Island)
One of the most ideal spot in El Nido. Dock on the beach with white sand and laid inland. Ascend the rocky hill and you will be rewarded with a lovely panoramic perspective when you reach the top.
Tumblr media
14.  Happiness Beach Bar
Food is fairly great here and provides you the opportunity to remember what good eating was like. They have salad choices, hummus plates, pita falafels and more delicious goodness that will satisfy you.
Tumblr media
15. Hidden Beach
Hidden Beach is a prime instance of what is so unique about El Nido. There's a fresh location to be found around every corner, but only if you're with a local who understands how to get there.
To take you, hire a ship. The better the sooner so you can beat the crowds and feel like this is your own secret beach. This place will be loved by photographers!
Tumblr media
Those are the most popular spots that you can experience in El Nido, Palawan. So what are you waiting for? El Nido, is on fire.

survey by tigerfan1205
Name 5 people that are very important to you. Other than my dad, mom, and Angela, I can’t think of anyone else. Andi’s a very close friend but they’re not necessarily I’d-take-a-bullet-for-them levels yet.
Do you like eating chocolate covered cherries or strawberries? I don’t like fruits, so no. I like chocolate-covered unhealthy stuff though, hahah.
What does your 9th text say in your outbox? Ughhhh I remember this tab being in my old cellphones but I can’t quite remember if this is referring to texts I’ve sent, or my drafts. Anyway, my phone doesn’t store text drafts and I can no longer recall my 9th last sent text.
Ever had a really scary dream? Tell me about it. I’ve had loads of nightmares but my least favorites have always been the ones where someone I love is shot and they had to pass away in my arms. Out of all my scary dreams, those are the ones that send me crying in my sleep/as soon as I wake up.
Where is the coolest place you've been on vacation? Vigan was great because it really felt like visiting a 17th-century town. Singapore and Shanghai were also fun because it felt cool going to places much richer than ours and getting to interact with technologies that we will never get to have here HAHA
Would you rather have salad or french fries for a side dish? Erm, unless the salad has spicy tuna in it, fries all the way please.
Ever been to California? Did you like it? No. Idk, it’s not the first place on my list if I am to visit the US though. Places in the East Coast and the Midwest personally appeal more to me - and I’m fully aware it’s because they’re well-known for being passionate wrestling hubs.
What's your favorite thing about the town you live in? I live right smack on the boundary between the more urban sprawl of Manila and the quieter, more peaceful and quaint mountain part of my city. It’s very easy to access either depending on what I’m in the mood for.
Do you like Mexican food? What's your favorite dish to eat? It’s great, but not my top favorite cuisine. My favorite dishes would have to be fajitas and chimichangas.
Favorite kind of pizza is? Quattro formaggi all the wayyyy. You’ll never see me ordering anything else.
Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? If so, how long have you been dating? No.
Any brothers or sisters? Do they make you mad? I have one of each. My sister will sometimes piss me off, but it dies down quick. My brother did something unforgivable to me two years ago so that’s how long I have been constantly mad at him.
Are you nosy? Eh, sometimes? For the most part I know my place though. I let people share the amount they’re willing to, and very rarely do I try to pry.
Ever been to a bar? What was it like? Sure, had my fair share of favorites too when going out was still a normal thing. For me, bars are the best if I’m with the right mix of people. If I’m in a crowd I’m not necessarily close with, it can definitely dampen the experience as I will only be feeling awkward. The people in the bar will sometimes be a factor too – I will most likely feel annoyed if I’m somewhere that’s clearly populated by high schoolers or college freshies as they can get super rambunctious and loud.
Are you old enough to drink? Yes, have been for the last 4 (almost 5) years.
What's your favorite kind of flower? I enjoy looking at peonies.
Would you rather have pasta or chicken? Right now, probs chicken - preferably chicken wings because that sounds the most fucking yummmmmm rn. We’ve been having pasta a bit too much at home so it would’t hurt to skip it for now.
Have you ever dated someone, but made them not tell anyone about it? Yeah. Gabie and I got back together in our final months of high school. We were about to graduate and it was crucial we kept our record clean so that the school won’t strip us of our diploma and prohibit us from marching (it was Catholic school, sooo homophobia and stuff). Because of that, we had to keep it secret for about a month and a half. As soon as I got home from the ceremony and my family dinner, I shared the news on social media. So I didn’t exactly make her keep it secret - it was a mutual understanding.
What's the meanest thing you have done to a friend? I honestly can’t recall a time i deliberately set out to be an ass to someone I considered a friend. The one thing I can recall was accidentally misgendering Andi when I was still getting used to their pronouns, but I didn’t do it on purpose.
Have you ever kissed anybody with the name starting with a C or R? No. Those are my initials though, ha.
Why did you and your last ex break up? She wasn’t ready, she wasn’t down for commitment, and she felt suffocated having only been in a relationship throughout her late teen and early adult years. She really made herself sound like such a victim and she made it sound like commitment is the biggest sin, and so I blamed myself a lot during the first few months of our breakup; but I’ve since made a conscious effort to turn my mindset around and convince myself that I’m not at fault. Bye gaslighters.
Have you ever had a really bad fight with a best friend? Angela and I only had petty fights and our last one was in like 5th grade. Gab and I got into heavy arguments, but only when we were in a relationship and never as friends.
Do you like spaghetti? It’s okay. I like other types of pasta better.
Which color: orange or red? Red.
Do you know any songs by Katy Perry? Do you like her music? She’s...popular lmao, so yeah I know a good number of her songs. She’s in the middle for me; some songs I really enjoy, like E.T., Dark Horse, and Thinking of You (a personal fave); and there are some that didn’t grow on me as much, like Wide Awake and that awful Christmas song she recently released.
Ever had a near death experience? I suppose. My almost-car crash is the event I always cite.
Which number: 5 or 19? 19, for no reason whatsoever.
What's your favorite song by Taylor Swift? Why is that your favorite? Wildest Dreams; it meant a lot to me on a personal level for a time; right now it’s kinda doing it again for me. From her newest album, I really like dorothea also because it’s a bit relevant to my life at the moment.
Pick one: apples or oranges? I guess oranges. I don’t like fruits but I’m more likely to take a liking to orange-flavored stuff, like juice or chewy candies.
Do you know anybody named George or Bob? I don’t think so.
What do you like better, being single or in a relationship? Why is that? I like being in a relationship; commitment comes easy to me and I love looking out for a significant other, supporting them in their dreams, and generally just having someone to focus on, build a future with, and spoil. Being single hasn’t been bad and I guess I won’t mind if I never found someone; but in the grand scheme of things it’s really nice to be able to love someone.
Are you close with your mother? Not really but our relationship isn’t as strained as it used to be.
Have you ever dated someone named Kyle? Nope.
If you still go to school, who sits next to you in your fifth period? I can’t remember the last time I had five classes in a day, lol.
Who was the last person to ring your doorbell/knock on your door? I think it was my mom, earlier this morning when she arrived back home from her daily jog.
Does anything on you itch right now? Yeah actually; the opposite elbow got itchy just now.
If the last person you kissed came to your house now, what would you say? “Aren’t you supposed to be at work?”
If your ex called you crying, what would it most likely be about? I have no clue, and she would never do that so I literally can’t imagine even a hypothetical reason for this. It has to be a super serious situation, likeeeeeee idk, maybe a death. *knocks on wood aggressively*
Who was the best kisser out of all the people you have kissed? I’ve only kissed one person, so can’t compare.
Name everyone you have texted today. This media guy celebrating his birthday today so I had to ask him for his details so we could send him a gift, as well as the contact person for the cake shop that we got in touch with to order said gift for the birthday celebrant.
Who was the last person you spoke to for over 5 minutes over the telephone? Maybe my grandma when she called a few months ago.
How many times have you went to the bathroom today? Around three times total, I think.
Who do you currently live with? My dad, mom, Nina, my brother, Kimi, and Cooper.
What do you like better: sour or sweet candy? Sweeeeeeet. No sour anything for me, thanks.
Have you ever been told that you have an annoying laugh? No but I hope this isn’t an actual thing people say to other people. They can think others’ laugh is annoying, but I think it’s one of those things that you can just try to get over and is unnecessary to raise lol.
