not really. my name is already short and I don't have a prominent quality to nickname me after. The only person who refers to me as anything other than my name is my boyfriend, but I don't think “babe/baby” really counts as a nickname lol

to be outside, i enjoy just warm enough to be comfy in pants and a t-shirt (so like 65F-ish) and sunny.To be inside, i love when it is cooler (like 50F?) and raining. I love the look, sound, and smell of rain but it is usually just inconvenient to be in.

well now all days are the same for me, #quarantine, so the same thing i do every day, just about nothing, lol

i always gravitate to fall for the leaves and pumpkin patches. but honestly, i think my favorite season is spring. i love the newly budding trees and flowers, the feeling of renewal, the release from the horrible Michigan winter lol, but most importantly, spring time for my whole life as of yet has always meant that school is over for the semester! as opposed to the fall when the semester starts. this is very long winded but spring final answer lol

Together Furever

This artwork is now available as a free Coloring Page! ____ Today we have another Valentine-themed kitty art. This one is modeled after two pet kitties I lost over the past year, Presto (boy) and Flame (girl). Both were very dear to me, and they seemed very appropriate for a lovey kitty piece, as they were one of the sweetest kitty couples I've known. Flame, such a loving and sweet darling, had her choice of the boy kitties, but when mating season came around Presto was her first and only choice, and likewise the father of her only litter of Magic, a little girl who looked just like him, and Sparky, the wild dark tabby mama's boy. And Presto, bless him, he wasn't much of a cuddle bug but he was a gentleman and, God, beautiful. He also certainly has his choice of lady kitties, but it was clear to me once they found each other that they were basically married. Don't get me wrong; Flame was beautiful in her own right. She was mostly tabby, but she had flecks of orange through, making her look almost calico. And, I think my favorite part, when she looked at you, you could see her mouth was half the normal pink kitty flesh color, and half the darker flesh color usually reserved for black kitties. It was odd, but also really cute. And she always looked so happy, almost like she was smiling. And her fur was so soft! They both had the same warm, green eyes. That same far-away, wistful look in them. I love them both so much, and I know they really are "Together Furever" in the beyond, even if I can't be there with them. And by this time, they're with their children too. (Magic, unfortunately, passed away at only a few months old. Sparky only recently met with a fatal car encounter.) It's bittersweet. I miss them all, but I am glad they can at least be reunited as a family. I did my best to capture Presto and Flame's likenesses here, though neither of them are quite right. Flame's unique tabby pattern doesn't translate super well into my drawing style, and I didn't have a good reference photo for what Presto's face and chest would look like at this angle. Still, I hope I've done them at least a little justice. My initial sketch was based on two kitties standing in a doorway, so to adjust for the odd paw positioning, I quite put them on this little stair pedestal, and then I put the heart behind them to fill space, symbolize their love, and fit with this month's lovey themes. The initial sketch was also pretty small, so I stuck with my habit of doing the lines digitally, printing them, and then tracing them onto whatever paper best suits the project. Thanks to my current set up, I did have to fight for a little longer than normal to get lines I was happy with, but I eventually got it. I think. Once my lines were all ready to go on a piece of mixed media paper, I did a few tests to figure out how I wanted to go about coloring both kitties and (to a much lesser extent_ the background elements. Flame went first since my only other tabby-cat attempts have been gray and orange, which are much simpler compared to the normal tabby coloring, let alone her orange-spotted tabby coat. In the end, I decided my best option was to start with (in alcohol marker) the orange spots and most of the tabby stripes, then go over that with a grayish-brown base, shade and touch up as needed, and then go over the whole thing with my "Tiger" Koh-i-Noor tri-tone pencil to enhance the "tabby texture," then final color touch-ups with a few normal colored pencils. Originally, I thought I'd be coloring in the black parts of Presto's fur with some watercolor. My practice run with that told me that wasn't a very good idea. So I tried some color options with my markers before opting for a process similar to Flame. Alcohol marker base, preliminary shading, then final shading with pencils. The white parts of his fur I just shaded with markers and otherwise left it alone. Though there is the tiniest bit of pink on his nose and mouth since he had that in real life, especially when he was a fluffy little kitten. Once they were taken care of, I moved on to the background. (Because apparently I work backward; I really need to get in the habit of doing the background first. ) I knew from pretty much the beginning that I wanted the steps to be a pretty pale, almost white color. I tried this pale purple look on a test page, and I really liked it, especially juxtaposed to the colors of the kitties, so I went with it on the final. Though I did add a little slightly darker shadow on the final just to make the color pop a little more. And then I started on the heart. I tried to fill the heart in with watercolor, as I had on a test page, but I wasn’t careful enough and the color came out too red and very patchy in an unattractive way. I tried to fix it with pastels, but instead of lightening the red it started to turn grayish in some spots. So finally I did one of only two other things I knew to do. I pulled out my gouache, mixed up a color closer to what I wanted, and I painted over it. (The other option would’ve been acrylic paint. The gouache just felt like the better choice of the two.) I do miss some of the color variations the watercolor on my test page had, but I like the overall color so much better than the reddish-gray mess hiding underneath. Moral of the story? Never underestimate the usefulness of gouache!   And that worked out a little better than I had anticipated too, as I thought Flame's whiskers came out a little long when I did the lines initially, but the gouache covered up the ones on the right, so I could re-do them. And I ironically got Presto's a little too long when I went back over them in white gel pen, and the gouache allowed me to pretty easily fix them too. At some point, I thought maybe I'd go around the two of them with the white gel pen, but once I fixed the heart and their whiskers, I looked at it for a while and decided they didn't need it. The contrast is right. They stand out perfectly well on their own. And so, it was done. Honestly, this piece took more out of me emotionally than I expected. I love Presto and Flame so much, and I miss them dearly, but I've tried not to think about it too much since each of their respective deaths. And so I had to work through a lot of that while I was looking at photos of them and try to get their likenesses right. But I'm glad I went through with it. I needed it, and they more than deserve it, this labor of love. So, as this Valentine's Day approaches, I hope they know how much I still love them and their kids, bless all their souls. I know they're all together now, as a loving, happy family. Every Voltage MC is Special bc I Said So - SCM

Note: I am not a master on every character’s routes and trivia. I made these up because I’m tired of boring MCs with no unique traits

Teorus’ MC: a master of chess. She doesn’t do competitions or anything, but she’s really good at it. She doesn’t always win, but her loses are few and far between. She teaches Teorus some really advanced chess methods, even if he isn’t all that interested, because he does want to show respect for MC’s hobbies. After all, that’s what healthy relationships do. She shows him how to beat the other zodiac gods and guess what move they’ll make next. He might not know much about chess, but Teorus does know that his MC is quite impressive.

Scorpio’s MC: surprises him by turning out to be a volunteer EMT. Her day job may be at the planetarium, but she ran full-time before then and covers shifts part-time now, all volunteer. One day he has a punishment assignment - give a mean older man a nonfatal heart attack so that he’ll change his life around. MC doesn’t know about the nonfatal part. When she sees the man go down, she springs into action, taking total control of the situation - ordering people to call the ambulance and get her the AED, starting CPR, reporting all his vitals...Scorpio’s left to watch her in amazement

Leon’s MC: has a very fluffy, very orange, and very affectionate cat...named Lion. Awkward much? Leon thinks of Lion as a rival (on multiple counts), meanwhile Lion is just excited at the prospect of another “human” to love him. Once Lion snuggles up in Leon’s lap and gives him a tiny lil’ bap with his paw, the god is won over. He can’t say no to this...this snuggle-beast! It would be another sin! So he reluctantly shares MC with his kitty counterpart, but makes it clear that Lion is to stay out of the bedroom during...activities. Don’t want to scar the poor, innocent child.

Dui’s MC: in her spare time, she writes an urban fantasy novel series of her own creation. The first time Dui catches her writing it, focused entirely on her laptop and nothing else, he leaves her alone, thinking she’s busy. But he keeps catching her like that and eventually asks what she’s doing. MC is a little shy about it, but Dui enthusiastically asks to read it. His MC wrote a book! And wants to make a whole series of them! Wow! He makes sure to tell her everything he liked about it, and give gentle constructive criticism on the weaknesses. He encourages her to overcome her insecurities and try to publish her work.

Aigonorus’ MC: she has THE nicest hair. Fluffy yet also silky, and oh-so soft. She doesn’t do anything special to make it that way, it’s just genetics. He loves to run his hands through it and often falls asleep being the big spoon, his face buried in her hair. One day a kid sticks gum in it and she tells him she’ll have to cut her hair if she can’t get it out. He breaks out his godly powers to save her hair. Of course, if she cut her hair on her own will he’d be okay with it...as long as it was still all nice and soft. It’s an important pillow, after all.

Karno’s MC: played basketball in high school. She was pretty good, but was in it for her teammates and the fun, so she couldn’t really stick with it in college when it became more about the competition and scores. She misses it sometimes, and on days when she isn’t working she’ll often go to the local park’s court and keep herself from getting rusty. Sometimes she’ll meet up with her old team and play a pickup game for old time’s sake. And sometimes Karno will go with her, and she’ll teach him how to play. He likes seeing her happy and in here element.

Tauxolouve’s MC: multilingual - which languages is up to you. He loves listening to her talk in the various languages she knows, even if he isn’t exactly sure what she’s saying. She teaches him a few phrases in different languages - mostly practical stuff, but also swears (because they’re fun to learn), insults so they can secretly shit-talk the other gods together, and of course “I love you”. He’s good at learning that one ;) He definitely teases her about bringing different languages into the bedroom.

Partheno’s MC: she knows every home remedy and old wive’s tale cure there is. Partheno flirts with her once, saying that he’s having trouble sleeping without her, and the next thing he knows she’s grabbing lavender oil and warming up a mug of milk and chamomile tea. After that he starts asking her about what to do and take for different things, not because he needs help, but because he’s genuinely interested in how much she knows.

Krioff’s MC: a food blogger! She posts photos, recipes, restaurant reviews, the whole 9 yards. She often asks him to test new dishes of hers or go to a new cafe or someplace. He’s not so sure why she’s always taking photos of her food, but hey, it means good food for him. She’s pretty well known among her fellow foodies, too, so occasionally they even get to go out to fancy eateries.

Ichthys’ MC: knows how to scuba dive! Ichthys mentions wanting to see how humans do it without magic one day and MC reveals that she’s actually been diving before. Ichthys jumps at the chance to learn (and he’s also enthusiastic because ocean life is kinda his “thing” and MC enjoys it!). He actually struggles with it at first, since he’s used to just snapping his fingers and boom, coral reefs. No pressurization, no oxygen tanks, no weird flippers. But he gets the hang of it and they go diving together on a date.

Zyglavis’ MC: look, decorative hand-fans from any culture are pretty useless when it comes down to it, but they’re super pretty, so why not collect them for decoration? MC doesn’t have a giant collection or anything, just a few nice-looking fans on the wall. Zyglavis admits that it’s an elegant hobby to have, even if it is impractical. He’s still gonna give her a fan from the Heavens which she’ll treasure as if it’s the finest antique.

The King’s MC (listen I can hope, okay?): Theater kid. 100%. Acted in school plays and musicals and always regrets not being able to continue into her adult life. Subtly Extra (tm), always ready with a quote or reference, which of course none of the gods understand. The King is intrigued by her dramatic flair, and since we all know how Extra he is, they’re perfect for each other (and hell for the gods).

It’s technically a day later, but I had intended on writing this all of Sunday but I was in such a poor mood that every time I tried I kept walking away after being unable to focus. But I've calmed down and I’m ready to get this started!

Furry Friends Floor Mat

I chose this item first because some of you you might recognize it; I’ve already gotten one from some boxes ago. I won’t be reviewing it, but I will mention that this item was a variety one; so it’s only coincidental I got it again- out of 15 possible carpets. They’re 45 x 45cm and made out of 100% cotton.

The carpet is very cute and a bit fluffy, it feels really nice to step on, and in a way it’s nice I have two, because I could put them by multiple doors if I wanted. Or if one gets ruined by some freak incident, I have a back up.

Gudetama Facial Sponge & Kirby Bath Bomb

Next up is another item I won’t be full reviewing, because again, I get konjac sponges pretty often in these boxes (usually from NMNL or KiraKira). They’re all the same, but what makes this one cunique is that it’s shaped like an egg for Gudetama~

For anyone unfamiliar, Konjac is an “asian potato“ essentially, it’s frequently used as a sponge that helps remove dirt and dead skin cells and comes in various forms. All you need to do is wet it once to use it, then you scrub away the icks from a long day.

Our first real review-able item is this adorable Kirby Bath Bomb, which came in 2 variants, series 1 featuring a flowery-scented yellow bath bomb, or series 2, which featured a pretty pink bath bomb. Each series has their own set of prizes, including a mystery one.

This was also a small part of why I took so long to do this; I don’t like wasting bath bombs so I thought “well what can I do with it so that it still gets used? I already took a shower.“ Then it hit me! I decided that because my feet have been sore recently, I’d try to soak them with it. So I did that, and honestly it felt really good- I think I’ll be doing it more often :P

Anyway, this is the Kirby I got. Cute little guy isn’t he ♥

The bath bomb smells really good, initially I thought it might have been a citrus scent but the more I smelled it, the more it seemed to transform to floral. I really like it though and my skin that made contact with it is very smooth and soft.  There’s also no staining at all, but because I got the yellow one I’m not sure if the same applies to the pink.

The next time you’re not sure what to do with a bath bomb I’d recommend using it the way I did :3 it feels really nice~

Chibi Animal Plushie

This is our next item, an ultra-kawaii animal plushie! There was 12 different animals we could cute, including panda’s in this style, some sleepy hamsters and other critters, bunnies, kitties, and more!

I think I definitely got one of the “winners“, it was love at first sight for us~ ♥

Peach really liked it too. But I think she just wanted the bag :x

The plush is very squishy soft, one of those mochi-marshmallow types. It’s a little stretchy and very smooshy. It also has an adorable pink button (which you can barely make out in the above picture).

Putting aside my overwhelming love for it, the plush is also made very well. I didn’t notice any signs of problem with the material or stitching, it’s very sweet.

Sanrio Toothbrush

To go with our theme of self-pampering and relaxation, we also got an adorable Sanrio-themed toothbrush to look forward to. It was available in 5 different designs, each featuring Sanrio’s popular mascots and pink bristles at the center of the brush; a very cute touch I thought ♥

As you can see, I got Little Twin Stars, or Kiki and Lala, however you want to refer to them.

I don’t really have too much to say about it. It’s a brush. I had been wanting to get a new one and it’s length is really nice. I didn’t make too much of a mess using it, and the bristles aren’t rock hard and rough in the mouth, they feel pretty good. There is also a circle of dots to place your thumb while using it.

Kawaii Glue Stick

Our last item takes the form of creative self-care; for those of us who like to make crafts or need to seal something. But before I get into this, I have a little story for you all...

It took me FOREVER to figure out how to open this! When I got the box I kept yanking and tugging on it, thinking it opened like a normal glue stick, then I tried twisting. I had no idea what to do. I gave up, and so when I took the pictures I decided to pull off the tape/design wrapped around the tube to find nothing. I had tried twisting the bottom a few times, the piece that lengthens the glue stick but nothing happened- until I realize you need to pull and twist!

So yeah, that was not fun at all, and there was no instructions to point this out. Anyway it came in 4 different designs, from unicorns to cutesy drinks to random animals.

As much of a struggle as it gave me, it does its job. It works well and because of its unique scare shape, it seems to do really well with precision, but I feel like it’s still the same as using a normal glue stick.

Content - 4.5 out of 5. I knocked down a point over the glue stick because that thing really honked me off. They should have said how to open it or put something on it, now mine looks completely trashed. But it’s still usable. Everything otherwise had great quality and I liked the items a lot. I also loved how nearly everything had variety and is practical!

Theme: ??? out of 5. Once again I was kinda conflicted over this, only because I do see the theme a bit, because yeah, a few of the items can get bubbly/foamy and bring comfort, and all the items do have a sort of fantasy design or feature to them. The Yume Prize also fit it I thought. I wasn’t really sure how to rate this one...

Total Rank: 10 out of 10. I love it when the box brings in a fun, unique mix with each box. But sometimes they’re either really good or sometimes they’re not my favorite. I really liked this one because the mix was different, especially since we normally don’t get things like health and beauty related items in this one- if we do it’s pretty rare. I feel pretty comforted with the box and its practically a good choice in my opinion. I’d recommend this one.

♡ Cutie Scale ♡

1. Chibi Animal Plushie - All of them were adorable but besides the pink panda, I think this would have been the one I wanted the most! I’m very happy I got it, I think I’ll name it Cotton Candy x3

2. Kirby Bath Bomb - The packaging is so colorful and cute, and my little kirby is adorable. It’s a very hard, barely squishable rubber material but I love it~

3. Sanrio Toothbrush - I like it’s white and pastel color scheme, and the pink bristles just make it fun. Like I said, I was planning on getting a new brush so this saved me some money.

4. Glue Stick - It will come in handy since I don’t really have any other glue right away. It’s cuteness factor was kind of ruined by my curiosity in trying to open it, but you win some lose some right? 

5. Gudetama Sponge - It’s just like any other konjac sponge, and I already have one open so I didn’t need to use it yet. But the egg shape is kinda cute...

6. Floor Mat - It’s cute but was a little disappointed I got the exact same one as before from a prior box. But it was a Doki Doki box rather than YumeTwins so that lessens that a little bit. It will come in handy though so I don’t dislike the item.
