When Jesus Says: “I Never Knew You”
Towards the end of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7), Jesus warned His disciples to “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matt 7:15). These false prophets will bear bad fruit (Matt 7:16-20), which is their false teachings and demonically empowered miracles. These pseudo-prophets are deceived, thinking they’re doing…

[Discerning False Prophets]
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
1 John 4:1
.
.
There are numerous of false prophets out there that it’s not even funny. So many Christians are being deceived by them. Always TEST the spirit folks, and ALWAYS make sure what these people are saying line up with scripture. Be like the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily.
And ALWAYS read scripture in CONTEXT. These so-called “prophets” are always reading scripture WAY out of context as well as twisting it to suit their stupid prophecies.
Jesus warned, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15). False prophets will say things that contradict the teachings of Jesus, the Law, the Scriptures, and other prophecies from the Holy Spirit recorded in the Bible. One of the most common false prophecies given by deceivers, especially amongst cult leaders, is they can predict the End of Days, even though the Bible says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
So here’s a message for you false prophets:
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
-Matthew 7:21-23
[BONUS VERSE]
No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God's direction.
-2 Peter 1:21

Matthew 7:21-23
I’ll preach as a dying man, to dying men and women, and youth. And I’ll preach as though I will never preach again, and I will tell you things that you will misunderstand, and I will tell you things that make you so angry with me.
I’m not troubled in my heart about your self-esteem. I’m not troubled in my heart about whether or not you feel good about yourself, whether or not life is turning out like you want it to turn out, or whether or not your checkbook is balanced. There’s only one thing that gives me a sleepless night. There’s only one thing that troubles me all throughout the morning. And that is this, within a hundred years, a great majority of people in this world will possibly be in hell. And many who even profess Jesus Christ as Lord will spend an eternity in hell.
Because if I correctly interpret this passage of scripture that I’m going to give you, it is as though God was speaking through a man. And your problem will not be with me, it will be with God and His Word. So the only question that really has to be decided here is, is this man before us a false prophet? Or is he telling us the truth? And if he is telling us the truth, then nothing else matters except conforming our lives to that truth. What you need to know is that salvation is by faith and faith alone in Jesus Christ. And faith alone in Jesus Christ is preceded and followed by repentance. A turning away from sin, a hatred for the things that God hates and a love for the things that God loves. A growing in holiness and a desire, not to be like Britney Spears, not to be like the world, and not to be like the great majority of American Christians, but to be like Jesus Christ.
I’m talking about you. I didn’t come here to get amens, I didn't come here to get likes and comments, I didn’t come here to be applauded, I’m talking about you.
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' (Matthew 7:21-23, ESV)
We are living in a time where billions of people are dying without Christ. We are living at a time when millions of so-called evangelicals do not even understand the Gospel. Shouldn’t somebody be disturbed? Shouldn’t someone be broken? And shouldn’t someone stand up and say, this is wrong?

John the Baptist Prepares the Way
1 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene, 2 during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. 3 And he went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet,
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways, 6 and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”
7 He said therefore to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. 9 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
10 And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?” 11 And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.” 12 Tax collectors also came to be baptized and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?” 13 And he said to them, “Collect no more than you are authorized to do.” 14 Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or by false accusation, and be content with your wages.”
15 As the people were in expectation, and all were questioning in their hearts concerning John, whether he might be the Christ, 16 John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”
18 So with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people. 19 But Herod the tetrarch, who had been reproved by him for Herodias, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things that Herod had done, 20 added this to them all, that he locked up John in prison. — Luke 3:1-20 | English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. Bible Verses on The End Times
2 Timothy 3:1-5- But know this: Hard times will come in the last days. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irresponsible, slanderers, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people.
Joel 2:30-31- I will display wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
Amos 5:18- Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! What will the day of the Lord be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
2 Peter 2: 1-2- There were indeed false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved ways, and the way of truth will be maligned because of them.
2 Peter 3:3-4- Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days scoffing and following their own evil desires, saying, "Where is his coming that he promised? Ever since our ancestors fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.
Matthew 24:44- This is why you are also to be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Revelation 11:9-10- And some of the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will view their bodies for three and a half days and not permit their bodies to be put into a tomb. Those who live on earth will gloat over them and celebrate and send gifts to one another because these two prophets had tormented those who live on earth.
Isaiah 66:8- Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day or a nation be delivered in an instant? Yet as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her sons.
1 Corinthians 15:24- Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he abolishes all rule and all authority and power.
Revelation 17:8- The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up from the abyss and go to destruction. Those who live on the earth whose names have been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast that was, and is not, and is to come.
1 Timothy 4:1- Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons.
1 Corinthians 15:28- When everything is subject to Christ, then the Son himself will also be subject to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God maybe all in all.
Matthew 24:21-22- For at that time there will be great distress, the kind that hasn't' taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again. Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.
Luke 21:36- But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.
Daniel 7:24- The ten horns are ten kings who will rise from this kingdom. Another king, different from the pervious ones, will rise after them and subdue three kings.
James 5:8- You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord's coming is near.
Zechariah 14:12- This will be the plague with which the Lord strikes all the people who warred against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
Matthew 24:14- This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Daniel 8:23-25- Near the end of their kingdoms, when the rebels have reached the full measure of their sin, a ruthless king skilled in intrigue will come to the throne. His power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause outrageous destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the powerful along with the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence, and his own mind he will exalt himself. He will destroy many in a time of peace, he will even stand against the Prince of Princes.
1 Thessalonians 5:3- When they say, "Peace and Security", then sudden destruction will come upon them, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Daniel 12:4- But you, Daniel, keep these words secret and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam about, and knowledge will increase.
Daniel 9:24-27- Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place. Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until an Anointed one, the ruler, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with a plaza and a moat, but in difficult times. After those sixty-two weeks the Anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the coming ruler will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end, will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war, desolations are decreed. He will make a firm covenant with many for one week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.
Matthew 24:12- Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.
Daniel 12:11- From the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up there will be 1,290 days.
Luke 21:25-26- Then there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars, and there will be an anguish on the earth among the nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Matthew 24:8-All these events are the beginning of labor pains.
Mark 13:32- Now concerning that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father.
Romans 8:21- That the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage to decay into the glorious freedom of God's children.
Romans 8:22- For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now.

Matthew 24
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
24 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the [c]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together

Would you mind expanding on why jehovah's witnesses are heretics?
Other tell tales include: changing doctrine when "prophecy" doesn't come through.
Matthew 7:15–18 (ESV): 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
• A true prophet’s words will be fulfilled (Deuteronomy 18:21–22; Jeremiah 28:8–9).
• A true prophet’s teachings are consistent with Scripture (2 Peter 1:20–21; Revelation 22:18–19).
• A true prophet’s teachings will encourage righteous behavior and provide spiritual benefit (Deuteronomy 13:1–4; Jeremiah 23:13–14, 32; Ezekiel 13:17–23; 14:4–8; Lamentations 2:14).
• A true prophet’s life will reflect a divine call (Isaiah 28:7; Jeremiah 23:10–11, 14; 29:9; Zephaniah 3:4; Matthew 7:15–20).
• A true prophet will acknowledge Jesus Christ as divine (1 John 4:1–6).
Their doctrine changes with false prophecies, and not the like "oh, we weren't applying this passage because we didn't like it" change. I mean the watchtower is edited every few years and changes in BIG ways. If you're a witness, get the newest watchtower, and go find the oldest copy you can and read them side by side.
Now, there's also some specific things I can get into:
Jehovah's witnesses believe Jesus is a created being, not part of a divine Trinity and equal to God. This is contrary to Titus 2:13, John 1:1-3,14-18, John 8:58 (in conjunction with Exodus 3:14, in John, Jesus refers to him self with God's name, I AM.) John 5:18, John 10:30-33, John 20:28-29, Isaiah 9:6, and Hebrews 1:8. And those are just the passages that *DIRECTLY* call Jesus God, or equate Jesus with God. There's more that infer it, Hebrews 1:6 in conjunction with revelations 22:9, (We are only permitted to worship God, yet Jesus never corrects anyone who worships him. Thereby if he is from God and does not correct people who worship him such as the angel in Revelations, he is either God, or a liar and false prophet.) (This also applies to several other heresies. I'm sorry, Jesus literally states "I am God" in John 10:30. It's plain text as clear as day.)
Jehovah's witnesses do not believe Jesus physically rose from the dead, however, in the Bible it references his physical resurrection a lot.
Luke 24:36-39, John 20:27, in John 2:19 Jesus refers to his body is a temple and says when it's destroyed he will raise it up in 3 days.
There's a lot more, but this post is getting Looooooonnnnnngggg so I'll just drop my sources and go.

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 14:15-18(KJV): 15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. 16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. 17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. 18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Thought for the Day
Verse 15 - The Hebrew word for simple in verses 15 and 18 means "foolish, easily seduced." The simple believe anything; the wise examine a matter before committing to it. The Bible tells us that we should prove all things, not believe all things. Society is flooded with things that appear harmless. We cannot be overcomers until we learn to "test" or "prove" the issues of this life (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Jesus warned of false teachers and gave guidelines for detecting them (Matthew 7:15-23). Just because someone prophesies, casts out devils, or does miracles in Christ's name does not mean that he is from God. Jesus said we would know false prophets by their fruits (by whether or not they live godly lives). This fruit of the Spirit is listed in Galatians 5:22-23.
While we are admonished to be careful, some become close to some beautiful Biblical truths in the name of caution. We are told to prove all things; neither rejecting something because it is strange or new, nor receiving anything until we have proved it against God's Word. All Christians agree that our standard is the Bible. God gave us this book as a gauge so that we could know whether something is good or evil, truth or error, right or wrong (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Not only are we to "test" the spirits in men, but we are to do the same with any supernatural manifestations that we might experience. Today, when the world is being exposed to so many false things, we need to be careful not to expose our spirits to false dreams, visions, revelations, prophecies, or voices. The Word of God teaches that God can manifest Himself in any of these things, but we are not to blindly accept everything that comes in the name of Jesus. We need to test or prove these also. One of Satan's greatest devices is to counterfeit the real things of God and come to us disguised as the working of the Holy Spirit. How do we test these things? Let us look to God's Word, as there is always wisdom there to show us what is truth.
Verses 16-18 - Those who are wise will reverence God and turn away from evil. Fools are arrogant, quick-tempered, and reap folly as their portion. The wise gain knowledge from God and leads overcoming lives. God's ways are pure, peaceable, and full of good works. The devil inspires strife and envy. We must prove all things, checking to see if they agree with Scripture and if they produce good fruit. Only then can we accept it?
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your wisdom and guidance each day. It is so exciting to walk in Your way. We do appreciate the unexpected blessings You bring our way each day. Thank You for the wonderful people You have brought into our lives. Lord, give us the discernment to recognize those things that are not of you. Give us spiritual eyesight to see things that are of the enemy so that we might not be fooled by him. Keep us from anger and help us to know Your will so that we can follow You closely in all of our ways. Bless our families and friends and keep them from the wicked ones also. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. From: Elder Steven P. Miller @ParkermillerQ, Founder of Gatekeeper-Watchman International Groups Jacksonville, Florida., Duval County, USA. My statement regarding what happened at the Olympic Opening ceremony: Dear friends, As a conservative evangelical Christian, I am deeply disturbed and saddened by the recent events that unfolded during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The blatant mockery of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His Last Supper, and the sacredness of Christianity is nothing short of demonic and an affront to God Himself. The Bible is clear: "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). The organizers and participants of this disgraceful display have sown seeds of mockery, blasphemy, and spiritual rebellion against the Almighty God. We must pray fervently for their repentance and salvation, but we cannot and should not support or condone their actions in any way. Throughout Scripture, we see numerous examples of God's swift and righteous judgment upon those who mock Him and His people. In 1 Kings 18, the prophet Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. After the prophets failed to call down fire from heaven, Elijah mocked them and their false god, saying, "Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is musing, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened" (1 Kings 18:27). The Lord then answered Elijah's prayer by sending fire from heaven, consuming the sacrifice, and ultimately bringing judgment upon the false prophets. Similarly, in Acts 12, King Herod Agrippa I allowed himself to be worshiped as a god, and when he failed to give glory to God, he was struck down by an angel of the Lord and eaten by worms (Acts 12:21-23). These examples serve as a sobering reminder that God will not be mocked, and those who persist in their rebellion will face the consequences of their actions. As believers, we must stand firm in our faith and refuse to support or participate in events that mock our Lord and Savior. We must pray for the repentance and salvation of those involved in this disgraceful display, but we must also take a stand for righteousness and boycott the Olympics until they repent of their actions and make amends for the offense they have caused. In the words of the apostle Paul, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). We must be salt and light in this world, shining the light of Christ into the darkness and standing firm in our faith, no matter the cost. May God grant us the strength and courage to stand firm in our faith, to pray fervently for the repentance of those involved in this mockery, and to boycott the Olympics until they repent and make amends for their actions. Amen. Run to King Jesus and get right with him Cose now we are in the timer and any second the greatest EVENT THE RAPTURE and then the tribulation that not you not me want to be left behind but will be as Jesus is our Judge and jury and only he knows our each one of is heart . You and me would not wanted to be in front if him when he says ‘ I never knew you ‘ And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness'” (Matthew 7:21-23). Jesus says that it is possible to call on him and not be with him for eternity.
When he says "I never knew you" to some of his disciples, he meant he could not recognize them as true disciples, followers, and friends. Jesus is not ending a relationship with them but rather explaining how they never had a relationship with him to begin with.

Matthew 7:23 (with verses 1-22 intro)
Judging Others
1“Do not [a]judge, so that you will not be judged. 2For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and [b]by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3Why do you look at the [c]speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4Or how [d]can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the [e]speck out of your eye,’ and look, the log is in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the [f]speck out of your brother’s eye!
6“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Prayer and the Golden Rule
7“[g]Ask, and it will be given to you; [h]seek, and you will find; [i]knock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9Or what person is there among you [j]who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, [k]will give him a stone? 10Or [l]if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11So if you, despite being [m]evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12“In everything, therefore, [n]treat people the same way you want [o]them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit
15“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will [p]know them by their fruits. [q]Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20So then, you will [r]know them by their fruits.
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [s]miracles?’ 23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; LEAVE ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

‭Matthew 24:3, 5-31 ESV‬
[3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
[5] For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. [6] And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. [8] All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. [9] “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. [10] And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. [11] And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. [12] And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. [13] But the one who endures to the end will be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. [15] “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place ( let the reader understand), [16] then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. [17] Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, [18] and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. [19] And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! [20] Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. [21] For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. [22] And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. [23] Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. [24] For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. [25] See, I have told you beforehand. [26] So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. [27] For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. [28] Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. [29] “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. [30] Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Adam failed as a prophet by failing to tell his wife what she needed to pursue holiness (Genesis 3:17). Adam failed as a priest because he disqualified himself from tending the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:24). The word עבד used in Genesis 2:5, 15 to describe Adam tending the Garden is used through the rest of the Old Testament to describe priestly duties. Adam failed as a king because by failing to subdue the serpent, over whom he had been given dominion (Genesis 1:28). This word for dominion רדה is used of kings in 1 Kings 4:24, and of other political leaders elsewhere.
Jesus is a prophet (Acts 3:22-23, 7:51-53). He satisfied the qualifications for this office during His earthly ministry (Matthew 10:40-41, 13:57, Mark 6:4, Luke 4:24, 13:33, John 4:19). He succeeded where Adam failed by telling His wife, who is the church, all she needs to pursue holiness (Ephesians 5:23, 2 Corinthians 11:1-2, Matthew 28:19-20). Jesus is a priest (Hebrews 5:5-6, 7:11-17, 21, 24, 10:19-21, 1 Peter 2:4-5). If one understands the Epistle to the Hebrews in conjunction with Psalm 110:1-4, Acts 2:34-35, and Matthew 26:64, one necessarily comes to the conclusion that He satisfied the qualifications for this office no later than Pentecost. He succeeded where Adam failed by tending to the church, which is His temple (2 Corinthians 6:16). Jesus is a king (Acts 5:31, 17:6-7, 1 Corinthians 15:25, Colossians 1:9-17, Titus 6:13-16, 2 Peter 1:11, Revelation 1:5, 2:10, 11:15, 19:15). He satisfied the qualifications for this office at His birth (Matthew 2:2, Luke 1:32-33), and He is stated to be a king elsewhere during His earthly ministry (Matthew 21:5, 28:18, Luke 1:33, John 1:49, 12:14-15, 18:33-37). He succeeded where Adam failed because the serpent is now powerless, weak, and left plotting in vain (Hebrews 2:14-15, Revelation 12:9, 17-16).
This is why Paul calls Jesus the "last Adam" (1 Corinthians 15:45-47).
Futurism detracts from the prophethood of Jesus. By denying the Olivet Discourse has been fulfilled, opponents of Christ can point to the His most important prophecy unrelated to His resurrection as false. Bertrand Russel did exactly that, focusing on Matthew 24:34. He was not mistaken. The use of "this generation" here doubtless corresponds with the same phrase used in Matthew 11:16, 23:13-39, Mark 8:12, Luke 7:31-32, 11:29, 50-51, 17:25. Premillennialism detracts from the priesthood of Jesus. He, being permanently in the Melchizedek priesthood, will be enthroned at the right hand of the Father until his enemies are vanquished (Psalm 110:1-4). His last enemy is death (1 Corinthians 5:25-26). If one insists that death will continue for 1000 years or more after Second Coming, one necessarily insists that Jesus' priesthood will be suspended without Biblical precedent. Premillennialism detracts from the kingship of Jesus. He is the subject of Psalm 2, according to Acts 4:25-28 and Revelation 19:15. Jesus as king has been given the nations, in accordance with Psalm 2:8 and Matthew 28:18, so Satan cannot rule while Jesus rules with a rod of iron in Psalm 2:9. The kingship of Christ is the prerequisite for the Great Commission. "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," so anyone who believes Satan rules this world and still evangelizes is disobeying the Great Commission.
To believe that Christ is the last Adam, to believe that He has succeeded in every office where Adam failed, to believe an inextricable link between the offices, and to tell others about Him requires that He made accurate predictions of the future which have come to past, that He will serve as priest until death is no more, and that He rules this world we live in right now. I affirm this with every fiber of my being. Do you?

Judging Others
1 ‘Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. 2 For with the judgement you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. 3 Why do you see the speck in your neighbour’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your neighbour, “Let me take the speck out of your eye”, while the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye.
Profaning the Holy
6 ‘Do not give what is holy to dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under foot and turn and maul you.
Ask, Search, Knock
7 ‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? 10 Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
The Golden Rule
12 ‘In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
The Narrow Gate
13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. 14 For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit
15 ‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will know them by their fruits.
Concerning Self-Deception
21 ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only one who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?” 23 Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.”
Hearers and Doers
24 ‘Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its fall!’
28 Now when Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astounded at his teaching, 29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes. — Matthew 7 | New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised (NRSVA) New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition, copyright © 1989, 1995 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Matthew 7:15-23
[15]"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
[16]You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
[17]So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
[18]A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
[19]Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
[20]So then, you will know them by their fruits.
[21]"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
[22]Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
[23]And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'
