#why is being an oscar fan so frustrating all the time 🙃

The fact that all this made up “on set drama” for DWD has made it to mainstream news sources is so frustrating to me. I had a feeling TMZ would pick it up and then PageSix wrote an article. This is literally fan fiction created by people (Larries/PR Harries) and submitted to DeuxMoi and it has spread like wildfire, which really shows how terrible her platform is.

I personally could care less if Florence doesn’t like Olivia or Harry but the main thing that leads me to be sure that it’s not even true is that Florence also hasn’t posted a thing for her other new movie, The Wonder, which also comes out this fall. She did a IG post when the movie wrapped (just like she did for DWD) but she had not said another word about that film at all AND it’s even premiering at TIFF like a week after DWD premieres at Venice. She’s made not one single IG story about it or shared any trailers or stills from it since it wrapped. And yet, it’s crickets from any haters about that - why is no one making up any stories that she hated that director or had a bad time during filming?!?

The truth is, promo for DWD will start soon. The whole cast will go to Venice and the other premiere on the 21st (probably in LA) and do promo interviews together. And every single person, including Florence, will act professionally and there won’t be any drama or tension or anything. Because they are all professionals and are paid to act accordingly during the promo. So we aren’t going to see any “drama” as much as people want to see it. Even IF Florence truly hates Olivia or Harry (because they started dating while filming??? Like….Florence met her BF while filming a movie - where he was her director - so I’m pretty sure she could care less, even if her BF is friends with Jason), she will not show any tension with them during promo, because that would affect her career in a hugely negative way. Olivia has posted so much support of her and seems to be hyping her way up for this movie, so if Florence acts like a brat during promo, the only person that is affected by that behavior is her and her reputation. She’s making lists saying she has a good chance of being nominated for an Oscar for DWD, so I highly doubt she’s going to let some made up “feud” potentially damage that by acting weird during promo or “shading” the movie.

Social media means nothing and it’s truly not a big deal that she didn’t post the second trailer - she posted the first one when it dropped and made tons of posts during filming. So the only thing we will see is all of them smiling and joking around with each other once this promo actually starts.

Agree it's frustrating, but I knew it'd happen at some point. And I don't follow Florence on social media so I have no idea how/what she usually posts, but I feel like social media engagement is such a weak way to determine someone's feelings about another person 😅 and if that thing about her other movie is true it's unsurprising that I haven't ever seen that pointed out bc it certainly doesn't fit their narrative that she posts enthusiastically about every single other project she's ever been involved in except dwd (and I keep seeing people say she hasn't posted a single thing for dwd but that's literally not true!?!?!?!! She posted the teaser, the first trailer, and I'm pretty sure the poster as well??? Correct me if I'm wrong though like I said I don't follow her but I feel like I remember people making a big deal of her not posting it and then she did). And AGREEEEEEEEEE. I think everyone will be professional and polite but trust and believe harries will suddenly become body language experts and point out how they can tell that Florence, Harry, and everyone else in the cast clearly hates being around Olivia and are only saying nice things bc she forced them 🙃
