at some point of the roadtrip, Lester bought a crusty loaf of bread at the gas station and let Meg do the first bite and she was delighted after that for 10 more minutes

that little negative traits meme had me thinking in depth about certain details concerning nik. most expansively of which: how he isn't intimidating at all. beyond physical characteristics, human appearance, stature and what have you (and obviously he often tends to be less built than most folks who want to fight him). he also simply makes no effort whatsoever to announce his power or influence. in fact, he adores playing the opposite. he has no threat display, no deimatic behaviour. those are for animals who want no trouble and care to warn you of it. he, on the other hand, is just itching to let you try. threats are a warning shot. he makes none.
