🧑‍🤝‍🧑 but with a twist: give me the paris and morgan lore 👀

Mwahaha yes

- Morgan and Paris met as pre-teens (Morgan was 8, Paris was 12). They're in a lot of the same social circles, so it was only a matter of time before they met. They hit it off pretty quickly.

- Paris was a horrible influence on Morgan, especially as he grew into his rebellious teen years. Being four years older than her, young Morgan thought Paris was one of the coolest people. Imagine just not doing what your parents tell you to! Hasani and Amaya were very glad that Paris lived a week's journey away.

- The pair grew apart once Paris turned 16. In Galbrada, 16 is considered an adult. As such, Paris was promptly shipped off to the country's only university for a few years. He and Morgan kept in touch on and off, and would meet up at upper class social functions, but that was the extent of it for years.

- Paris ended up traveling after graduating at 22 (with a degree in botany). By then, 18 year old Morgan had been sailing for two years. They met in seemingly random locations all over the Emerald and Salty Seas. It took roughly a full year for the two of them to realize that Paris's travels mimicked the Lady Circe's shipping routes. They have remained in close contact as adults, often sending each other letters about their travels or talking via enchanted mirrors.

Bonus! They hooked up the night of Morgan's 22nd birthday, and the "friends with benefits" relationship technically carried on for nearly a full year, though in reality they only slept with each other 4-5 times total. They also may or may not have joked that if Morgan doesn't have a partner by the time she's 30, they'd get married. At least, Morgan thinks he's joking.

Soooooo about a year ago @wiltingdecay made this drawing for 4/20 and I loved it so much I made it into cross stitch!

It didn’t really take me over a year to make, but after I started on it I got distracted and life happened blah blah blah but I rediscovered the project recently and decided to finish it! And I’m soooooo glad that I did, I think it turned out really cool 💜

Couple Questions

15. What, for them, constitutes a level of intimacy that they would only rarely share with someone? This can be physical, emotional, etc.

For Morgan, it's letting Rowan pay special attention to her battle scars (physically as well as emotionally). Even in relationships where she's actually comfortable being emotionally vulnerable (eg. Paris and Julian), she isn't super comfortable with sharing the evidence that she's been hurt before, let alone let anyone give her special attention for it. So letting Rowan give her scars attention, or not resisting when they remind her that she's worth more than what she's been taught to think, that's a level of intimacy that's just for them.

It's very much the same in reverse, but like. Even more because Rowan's even more resistant to telling her anything.

17. Under what circumstances would they want to be left alone by their partner?

Morgan generally rarely wants to be left alone. One exception would be if they've just had an argument; she'd want space, for better or for worse. Usually for worse. Her tendency to withdraw slowly goes away over the years, though. The other exception is if the kids have been rough and she needs a break.

I imagine Rowan's probably similar? So far they haven't had many opportunities to be apart, though, so I don't know jsdkfkl

18. They’re going through something incredibly difficult—perhaps they’re very sick, have lost a loved one, or have gone through a traumatic event. Do they ask for or accept support and care from their partner, or try to isolate themselves?

Yes to both. Morgan starts off trying to isolate, but it doesn't last very long because she relies on Rowan for support so much the rest of the time that it's hard for her to stay away when she's that upset.

Rowan probably isolates a little more, at least in the case of sickness, but Morgan is stubborn and tries to support them anyway, even if they don't let her too close at first.

sorry if this is a silly question, but how is jinana's s/he pronoun pronounced? is it the same as the word she, or is it more like "ess-he"?

Not silly at all! It's honestly more of a written thing than anything else; pronouncing it like 'she' is perfectly fine. Mentally I tend to think of it with a little hesitation in between, like sh-he, but it's kind of tough to say it that way out loud tbh.
