after 3-4 years of saving, asking for money for birthdays/christmases, and finally just biting the bullet on a black friday sale - i got a peloton bike. and it's as incredible as i thought it'd be. since having a kid i haven't been able to go on my long cross country bike rides anymore, but this is a close second. no this is not a peloton ad i am just crying from joy at a long achievement reached

#is it perfect? no #is it what i needed for the winters and for the fact i can't leave my house anymore without a toddler clinging to me? yes #literally just hop on during her nap time and then once she wakes up i'm done #and then when she's older i'm hopping back on my bike in the garage and doing my standard 100 mile cross country rides on the weekends again #🫡#sam rambles

really wish the street you have to ride on to leave my neighborhood wasn't "even if you don't wipe out in a pothole a car will probably hit you" so I could actually ride my bike places

#i would love to be able to ride my bike to work! its only 7 miles away! but a) roads and b) in the winter when i could conceivably do this #while not being too gross to interact with customers it's dark by the time i get out :(

So I’m starting to get into motorcycles and wanted to take courses. I’ve ridden some mini bikes before and on the back of actual motorcycles but I wanted to give riding on my own motorcycle a shot. The unfortunate part is I live in a state where winter lasts till like the end of April. I want to learn now. Why do I get into things at the worst times?

#I could learn in the cold but it’s not recommended by many and if it snows I definitely can’t ride 😭#but also bikes can be cheaper around this time especially since I wanna buy used #motorcycle #motorbike #motorcycles #winter

i think it should be a general traffic law that whenever it rains, or if there are heavy winds, those not in an enclosed space (car, bus etc) should get to go first everywhere.

#literally everyone i know including myself cant drive because of disability #also cars are so fucking expensive #i seen people say 'with the amount you soend on ubers you could just buy a car' okay how an i supposed to get to work in the meantime #like i dont just have thousands of dollars all at once #spending a cumulative anount of money throughout the year is a lot different than one major purchase #no i cant just ride a bike either again im disabled and cant reliably transport myself to work everyday #especially in winter
