And she lays on her left side, resting her hand on her baby bump feeling the baby moving. She heard footsteps, at first, she imagined it was Ryan or his grandmother. Much to her surprise, it was her brother, which made automatically beamed at him. ❛ Your nephew and niece are making a party here. I chose their names. It'll be Freya in honor of our grandmother, and Nils. ❜ She explained extending her hand to touch his hand. ❛ Where's Maeve? ❜

Onyx's apartment, nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, was a sanctuary of greenery. Potted plants adorned every available surface, their verdant leaves casting a calming atmosphere he cherished. However, his neighbors, Neva in particular, held a different opinion on the botanical abundance that spilled over the fire escape. Their relationship had started as nothing more than occasional glares exchanged over the railing – a silent battle between his flourishing foliage and her desire for a clear, unobstructed view. Then Onyx began the attempts of getting to know the bundle of temporary fury, often placing his pots directly in her space. Truth be told, it could be a bit lonely being so withdrawn. He didn't expect to come to find them an interesting person, but it seemed that oddities were a common occurrence now -

The sound of footsteps on the rusty metal staircase caught his attention. The scent of alcohol wafted through the air, mingling with the fragrant blooms. Onyx, engrossed in his ritual of watering and pruning, failed to notice the approaching footsteps until Neva appeared at his window. To his bewilderment, she was attempting to climb inside, and succeeding. "What in the---" Onyx exclaimed, a mix of confusion and amusement evident in his voice. As the surreal scenario played out, Onyx couldn't help but chuckle. "What in the hell are you doing?!" He's not really sure how she managed it because not only is the fire escape broken but she appeared to be plastered drunk. "And hey, watch the fiddle-leaf fig !" thats the, Ficus lyrata, or tall boy as he likes to refer to him. "Those are particularly really hard to keep alive!" @bjorkn

At the end of the night - well his shift at least - Gabriel would be wiping down the bar and sometimes he'd even steal a drink for himself, especially after a long day. Today was easily one, so he enjoyed a drink before cleaning out the cup and going back to wiping down the bar. Patiently waiting to see if anyone dropped in or the last few there would leave or need a hand. Gabe would never just leave someone there without a way home, whether he walked them if close, call a cab or even drive them home himself. He'd always make sure everyone got home safe.

When someone walked in, a grin crossed him and he tossed the towel over his shoulder as they approached the bar. "Hello, hope your night has been well. What can I get you tonight?" He asked, keeping his best friendly smile, which wasn't too hard being the positive happy person he was. He'd even listen to the drunk stories, and sometimes connect with regulars.

EVENT TIMELINE

IC Timeline: Canonically, the snowstorm will suddenly pass through New York on Tuesday, February 1st.

OOC Timeline: Members will have from February 1st through February 8th to post their initial starters around the snowstorm. After 2/8, no new starters can be posted, but writers are free to continue their event thread until it's conclusion. An announcement will be made on both days when the event has started and ended.

EVENT DETAILS

Now that the pairings are announced, members are encouraged to reach out to the mun of their paired partner to plan out what will occur between the characters. Members are free to take liberties with the snowstorm backdrop to create whatever situational atmosphere they'd like - they can be as comedic, lowkey, absurd, mundane, adrenaline-seeking, or subtle as you'd like! If you're interested in more concrete details prior to the weather report on Tuesday, the 2014 Gulf Coast Winter Storm serves as a reference point!

Pairing Threads:

The primary reason behind the event is to encourage character interaction between characters who may not have engaged with each other before. As such, character threads are highly encouraged between the assigned pairing. Members can choose if they'd prefer to have their threads set during the action of the snowstorm (ex. thread of two character chatting while stuck in an ATM vestibule together until the power comes back on) or after the snowstorm (ex. first thread are characters running into each other two days after being stuck together in the ATM vestibule during the snowstorm).

Threads have no set length, neither in writing nor in IC time. The encounter between characters can be as brief as twenty minutes or as long as an overnighter, while threads can be full on multi-paras or simple gif conversations.

Additional Threads:

Members are also free to take advantage of the setting to engage in other snowstorm related threads during this time period, and are not limited to only engaging with their assigned partner. Other plotted threads and open starters are welcome! (ex. after being freed from the ATM vestibule, your character briefly seeks warmth at a nearby grocery store with other patrons, where an open starter may be set - or they return home to their roommate for a closed starter!)

Additionally, members are free to continue non-event threads!

Anders found himself unsure of why he was there. His wife had insisted he go visit his sister, taking his phone, wallet, and keys when they arrived at the building. His sister was being monitored due to health complications, and while his wife Emma was good at dealing with such situations, Anders felt out of his depth. There had always been some distance in his relationship with his sister due to their age gap, but he had always wished her well from a distance. Their family was complicated, and while he appreciated his wife's mediation, there were some things her magic wand couldn't fix.

As he approached the room indicated by the nurse, he stood at the doorway and watched his sister lying in the bed. "I hope you don't mind the intrusion. I come bearing gifts from the girls."

Dustin rarely went out of his way to aid others in daily activities, especially when he was overwhelmed and overstimulated as he was now. Visiting the Brooklyn Flea Market tended to be like that, but he must have felt particularly philanthropic because he spotted a very pregnant woman struggling with her bags of items as she maneuvered around the stalls.

His altruistic attitude was also strange because somehow, Dustin felt like he knew the woman. He hadn't even heard her speak but something about her was familiar.

"Need help with those bags?" He asked, leaving his own thoughts of shopping for clothing and trinkets behind. "I won't steal 'em or anything." He paused. "I'm Dustin. I might know you from somewhere..." Okay, he was sounding very strange now. Leave it to Dustin for his words to come out exactly the opposite way that he intended.

She would tell the only people from her family were him and their aunt Ingrid… As European and being annoyingly punctual, she was on the time she said she would arrive. She was a little nervous to tell him the news, but it was better to hear it from her than from his best friend… Although she doesn't know if Ryan told him, either way, she is trying to tell the news sooner than later. She chose a table with a nice view for them. And ordered an Italian soda. God, she misses drinking alcohol so much… Only for a good cause…

𝐈𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 something that pops into Neva's mind is to make a 'disco' on the day her twins come out of her. How? She wasn't sure. The Swedish blonde was used to planning events for MET museum but maybe this wouldn't be that hard, would it? Ryan per usual left her to have a couple of hours alone, while he was working on the room's project of their mansion. She thought she'd be alone with a nurse watching her to certify everything was in order. She also finished the routine of monitoring her and the babies. Luckily are all in the pattern of their 'normalcy'. Except Freja who hadn't changed position yet. And what she did not expect was to see Elias who always checked on her anyway. Neva checked at the time and was surprised to see HIM at this HOUR, which wasn't the usual 'time' he visited her. Weird, she put the phone aside, to give him full attention. ❛ By your face, I can tell there's something in your head, what's wrong? ❜

Even Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, was a rock star in his eyes.

The air buzzed with anticipation, and the cozy atmosphere of the pub provided the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to honoring the unsung heroines who had shaped the course of history. Neva is the daughter of a doctor and former Miss World, Linnéa, and businessman and economist Baldur Björk. She was born in Stockholm on a blizzard day, hence her name. Even on the news on TV was announced strong blizzard on the day she came. She is the younger of two brothers, and all of them are relatively close. Being the daughter of a beauty queen wasn't easy.

She always had an interest in the arts which was shown from an early age, before she could even learn how to talk, she learned how to draw. During her teen phase, she wasn't popular at school, and hardly had friends. Neva was often alone, but always hid it from her family, she never wanted any of them to worry about her. There wasn't any phase where her grades were bad, she was a good student ( top students ) , and never bragged about it.

When she was 15 she moved to USA in California. Her father was promoted from work ( & live ) and wanted to live abroad. In the very beginning was hard for her, because she liked her life in her hometown, despite not having friends, not other than her own brothers.

Her father was a bit disappointed that she studied 'arts'. He wanted her, just like be like his family following the financial business. Her mother hoped for her to be a doctor, like her family it was also a tradition in her family. She didn't hear neither of them and did what she wanted for herself.

During her college years, she fell in love with a guy, name Liam with whom she thought she would have a life ( they were engaged ), turns out he was cheating on her, with multiple people. They spent 5 years together. She was very heartbroken because she imagined he was her soulmate, and blind in love. Neva began to focus even more on her future in her graduation not wanting to feel the pain of heartbreak anymore.

Since then, she never had any other serious commitment to anyone, focused on her future, and fortunately, she graduated, got a great job with so much effort and soul to get where she got, and also has two p.H.d, she is an art curator at MET museum.

She met a guy named Ryan in one night and she asked him for help. He was off duty ( he is a firefighter ). Their friendship began to bloom ever since, he became her best friend, she didn't think he was into her until one day he declared her feelings to her. When they began dating found out their family knew each other. Despite dating not too long, she found you she's expecting his child.

CURRENTLY:

They decided to move in together in a mansion in Brooklyn, where they raise his three dogs and her cat, and when his divorce was finalized they got engaged and married on the same week while they were on vacation on the babymoon. They planned in have a new big wedding, one for family and friends, once their life is somewhat more settled, after their babies are born. Babies because it's twins. Nils and Freja Björk Caddel.
